November Empties

Here's what I've been using up in November. If a product is marked * I kindly received it complimentary for review.

I love Indie Lee's Energize Deodorant 50g. See my review HERE. Will buy again. Huge fan of Ezape Naturals, their body butters are divine. I didn't think the Tea Tree & Peppermint* blend would be something I'd like as I'm not a huge-huge Tea Tree fan but this blend was really nice and minty-fresh. I would buy full size. Monpure's Clarifying Salt Scrub 50g was nice to use but unlikely to buy it again as there are other scalp care products I prefer. I love CITY SURViVOR supplement range and found both Immune Support and Night Support very effective. See my earlier review HERE. Will definitely buy both again at some point. Naturopathica's CBD+Unwind 30 Caps* see my review HERE. Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Body Scrub 28g which is a nice scrubby scrub with the delectable sweet original aroma. On the wishlist full size. The Nue Co MOOD 30 caps, I love these onto my second pot. They really do ease anxiety and brighten your mood. A keeper. Raven Botanicals Drift Bathing Oils sample, a rich and aromatic bath delight with a gentle lavender aroma. I simply adore Miller Harris's Lumiere Dore EdP 9ml, it's one of my favourite MH scents. Distinctly summery with orange blossom notes.

Friendly Soap with Peppermint & Poppyseed, a zero waste minty soap which was nice and refreshing. Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk 150ml, one of my favourites. I've just opened the last in my stash. I want to try the newish Living Proof one next. Love a bit of aromatic bodhi & birch. Their Ylang Ylang Inscensa Bath & Shower therapy 50ml is one of my fav b&b scents. See my review HERE. Just bought full size. Kiss the Moon Love Bedtime Bath Salts 50g* were gorgeous. See my review HERE. Will definitely buy again.  I quite enjoyed Agent Nateur & Shiva Rose Holi (Rose) No.4 Deodorant but not enough to buy it again. Noble Isle's Rhubarb Rhubarb! Hand Wash 250ml was gorgeous. Hugely fruity and lathered up well. Would buy again (wish they did refills though). JOIK's Organic Cornflower Facial Mist 50ml* was very refreshing. See my review HERE.

May Empties

Here are the products I've been using up in May. If a product is marked * I've been generously gifted it for review.

Lola's Apothecary Delicate Romance Balancing Body Polish 15ml which came in Naturisimo's Self Love Discovery Box. I loved this rose scented creamy polish so much I had to buy full size. Absolute perfection and a luxe treat.

Kerastase Nutritive Lait Vital 75ml which I received in a Feel Unique My Beauty Kit. I love it as it works. Nourishing the hair, leaving it silky soft and smooth. Just opened a new one.

Madara Moon Flower Tinting Fluid 50ml which is a staple in my stash. It gives the skin a light moisturising glow, evening out imperfections without the heavy feel of foundation. I've just opened a new one.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream 75ml I adore this vanilla, pistachio and salted carmel scented fluffy cream. I just bought the Biggie Biggie Bum Bum Cream - so that should last a while. Love this cream!

JOIK Apple & Elderflower Foaming Hand Wash 250ml* I loved this moisturising foaming wash which had a delectable fruity scent. See my review HERE. One I'll definitely buy in future although it's a little on the pricey side for a hand wash.

Alterna Caviar Anti-Ageing Infinite Colour Hold Shampoo & Conditioner sachets, 7ml each. I received these in Feel Unique's pick 'n' mix. Luxurious and great to try. I preferred the conditioner from the duo. Might or might not buy.

Doers of London "it starts at the top" Shampoo 50ml which came in Mint Green's February starter kit. It was nice enough but unlikely to buy.

*Nudge Boutique Saffron Glow Facial Oil Serum 10ml which is one of my favourite new tries this year. See my review HERE. I will definitely buy this when my oil/serum stash reduces a bit as it's absolutely fantastic.

Tam Mason Mint & Cedarwood Hand Scrub 25ml I adore these beautiful hand scrubs. See my review HERE. I wasn't so keen on this aroma but will definitely buy the scrub again in a different scent (Rose & Patchouli).

Malin + Goetz Grapefruit Face Cleanser 10ml which was nice to try. It was pleasant to use and I've now tried it! Unlikely to buy.

Decleor Aromessence Neroli Bigarade Essential Oil Serum 0.7ml I used to use Decleor so it was nice to revisit. A teeny tiny free sample. Definitely one to add to my wishlist as I adore Neroli.

*Love Lula: BLOSSOM: Green People, Therapi Honey Skincare & JOIK

*Received free of charge as a Love Lula Accredited Blogger - AD. As you'll know, I've been theming my blogger picks this year with Love Lula and for April I chose BLOSSOM. I'm a huge fan of springtime blossom so it was a natural pick. See my previous reviews - SLEEPLOVE and AWAKEN.

I chose Green People's Moisturising Shower Gel with Neroli & Marshmallow (£13 - 200ml)* (which is free from SLS/SLES, parabens, methylisothiazolinone, methylchloroisothiazolinone, phthalates, alcohol (ethyl alcohol, ethanol), colourants and artificial fragrances) making it one of the purest shower gel that nature can offer. It has a gorgeous neroli blossom scent and creates a rich and silky foamy lather.

To use:
apply a small amount to wet skin, massaging before rinsing. Skin is left feeling clean and nourished with a light floral aroma. I like this a lot!

My second pick this month is Therapi Honey Skincare's Orange Blossom Hydrating Toner (£25.50 - 100ml)*. It balances normal and sensitive skin types and has a beautiful orange blossom aroma. My skin has recently felt like it has needed a bit more hydration and this beautiful toner revitalises, hydrates and balances. It really is a joy to use!

To use: spritz onto the skin after cleansing or any time your skin needs a hydration boost. Happiness in a bottle!

My final pick under the Blossom theme is JOIK's new-in Apple & Elderflower Foaming Handwash (£15 - 250ml)* with a nod to Elderflower blossoms. It's enriched with aloe juice and apple extract. The liquid becomes a foam the instant you pump some from the bottle and has a divine fruity/floral scent. It quickly and easily cleans the hands leaving them delicately scented and feeling nourished. I absolutely love it and although it is on the pricey side for a hand wash I'll definitely repurchase as it's so nice to use.

To use: pump a small amount of foam onto damp hands and wash as normal. Rinse.

Another joy giving month. I've really loved trying this trio which are effective, luxurious and nice to use. Have you tried any of these products?

*Love Lula: AWAKEN: Herbfarmacy, JOIK, Balm Balm + Organic Works

*Products are sent to me free of charge as a member of the Love Lula Accredited Blogger Program for an honest review. This month I've selected products to AWAKEN, with gorgeous scents and textures to help bring in the new after winter. You can see my January SLEEP post HERE and February's LOVE post HERE.

JOIK's Cornflower Facial Mist 50ml (£16) comes boxed and is presented in a glass spray bottle. It hydrates, brightens, refreshes and awakens the skin (and has a gorgeous cornflower aroma). It's perfect to calm stressed skin, use as a toner, as a make up fixer or to refresh the skin on hot days. The mist is suitable for all skin types.

To use: spray on the skin after cleansing, to cool down after sunbathing or to fix make up.

I love this floral facial mist which is lovely to use, has a delicious scent, moisturises and tones the skin and uplifts the senses.

Herbfarmacy's Chamomile Cleanser 55ml (£12) comes in an aluminium tin which is perfect to reuse or recycle. The cream cleanser has a creamy luscious texture and a herbal/floral scent. It easily makes short work of make up and daily grime and turns cleansing into a real ritual. It can be used AM and PM although I prefer using it in the evening.

To use: massage a small amount onto dry skin before removing with a warmed damp cloth.

I've loved using this cleanser which is a treat for the skin and senses. The scent is glorious, exotic Ylang Ylang with earthy herbal notes. This is a very effective cleanser which is formulated with herbs, skin loving oils, beeswax and essential oils. I definitely want to explore this brand more (what are your favourites?)

As you'll probably know I'm a huge fan of Balm Balm's Lavender Face Balm* see my review HERE. As I love it so much I decided to try their Rose Geranium one (30ml - £9.50) which is uplifting and balancing. I've been using this as an AM moisturiser and my skin is loving it.

To use: apply a small amount to the face and neck AM and/or PM or use as a hot cloth cleanser. It's also great for other dry areas like hands, knees, elbows and feet.

A gorgeous balm which awakens the skin and senses, balancing, calming and nourishing.

Rounding up my picks to AWAKEN is Organic Work's Bergamot Handwash 300ml (£10) which is the perfect treat to awaken the senses - I'm a huge Bergamot fan and this scent makes me happy! The hand wash is presented in a recyclable plastic pump bottle, has a silky texture and leaves the hands feeling clean and smelling gorgeous.

To use: apply to wet hands, lather and rinse.

An absolutely beautiful wash, hands are left clean with the delicate aroma of Bergamot.

Shopping My Stash #113

I've not been purchasing as much just now in these uncertain times (I've sort of lost my beauty and reading mojo - though I'm hoping they come back!) I'll be doing lots more shopping my stash posts/reviews of products I already have. Products marked * I've been gifted for review.

I absolutely adore Lush's Sleepy Body Lotion which really is a hug in a jar. It's perfect to use before bed for restful sleep. It's creamy, comforting and soothing with an oaty and lavender scent. NUXE's Huile Prodigieuse Riche has the same scent as the original best seller but with a richer texture. It's good for dry skin and hair leaving them nourished and luminous. Balm Balm's Frankincense Deep Cleansing Balm* (which I received in December's* Love Lula Beauty Box) makes short work of make up and daily grime and has a delicious Frankincense scent.

From Award Winning 100 Acres Apothecary (which came in January's Skin Organic Clean Beauty Box) is their Rose & Lavender Bubble Bath which is a soothing and relaxing treat with plenty of frothy scented bubbles.

A while ago I spotted that Revolution Beauty had a lovely new skincare range and I've been trying their very affordable and gentle 12.5% Vitamin C Serum which brightens and helps make the skin glow! It's a very affordable £10 (there is a 3 for 2 offer on their website for skincare currently).

I adore Walden Natural Perfumes and Live the Life Natural Perfume Oil* is a beautiful blend of bergamot, orange, tuberose, sweet violet, sandalwood, Brazilian rosewood and China jasmine. It's a fruity floral with a hint of spice. A fuller review will follow.

My final item is from gorgeous JOIK - their Organic Pink Grapefruit Body Lotion* which has an uplifting and joyful citrus scent. See my review HERE.

*JOIK Organic: Sweet Orange & Mint Body Butter & Lemon & Geranium Natural Mineral Deodorant

Sent to me as part of the Love Lula Accredited Blogger Program for an honest review.  I'm a huge JOIK fan, having tried a number of their products in the past. The range is created in Estonia and is effective and affordable. Pick yours up at Love Lula (there's a great offer on until 1st April - get 15% off when you spend £30 or more (conditions apply) with code SPRING - see more info HERE.

Their lush Sweet Orange & Mint Body Butter (£14.90 for 150ml)* is a delectable and luxe blend of nourishing butters and oils and is scented with essential oils of Sweet Orange, Bergamot, Ylang Ylang and Spearmint which give the body butter a fresh and zesty scent. It really is a delight, has a velvety feel on the skin and is a perfect pick-me-up/feel good treat. It melts easily onto warm skin leaving the skin feeling hydrated and delicately scented.

Their Lemon & Geranium Natural Mineral Deodorant (£15 for 50ml) is formulated with natural mineral salts, which help to act as a pH adjuster creating an environment where bacteria can't grow thus ensuring a safe and natural freshness. It's scented with Lemon and Geranium which gives the deodorant a zesty/floral scent. I did find it initially quite wetting (I normally use a stick deodorant, although I've used roller-balls in the past). It is however very effective, smells good and I've found I've stayed fresh all day. It may be a little bit pricey for a deodorant but it's one I'll pick up again as it just works.

*Love Lula Beauty Box: November 2019

*productsamples My Love Lula Beauty Box* for November arrived the other day. This month it's worth £48 and inside are four full sizes and 2 sachet samples. I receive the beauty box free of charge as a Love Lula Accredited Blogger. I've used all the brands inside the box before but inside are five new to me products - I think it's a great box this month.

Inside is:

Nature's Kitchen Kiwi, Apple & Cucumber Soothing Face Wash 100ml (£10.99) which gently cleanses the skin of impurities and toxins and has a fresh scent. I'll be popping this by my shower for use in the morning.

I love the Ooh! Oils of Heaven Oils having done a spotlight on them way back in October '16 (there are now a lot more in the range!) Inside the box this month is 30mls of Organic Apricot Revitalising Face Oil (£19) which resembles the natural sebum produced by our skins and has a slightly nutty scent. It will revitalise, regenerate, smooth out lines and wrinkles and nourish. I'm looking forward to trying this out!

From Ayumi their is a huge 150ml of their Organic Coconut Enriched Hair Oil (£7.99) which can be used to nourish the scalp, roots and hair. It's rich in Omega 6 and will nourish and strengthen the hair. I like how it can be used as an overnight treatment too (it does have quite a pungent herbal rosemary scent which I wasn't expecting but I'm looking forward to trying it out!)

The final full size items is Madara's Hemp Hemp Lip Conditioning Balm 15ml (£10) which hydrates and protects the lips leaving them with a glossy shine and has a nutty hemp herbal taste.

There are two sachet samples rounding up the box. I got JOIK's Rejuvenating Eye Contour Cream and Zojo Beauty Elixir of their The Bikini Body Formula Food Supplement which I reviewed HERE.

*Love Lula: JOIK Organic Pink Grapefruit Sea Salt Scrub+Body Lotion

*productsamples I picked these two new JOIK Organic products are part of my October Love Lula Accredited Blogger picks. I fancied something fresh and zesty to cheer me up - I love autumn and cozy winter woolies but the cold and dark autumnal nights are already getting to me! (the links are non-affilate).

Organic Pink Grapefruit Sea Salt Scrub (240g - £15) has a delectable bitter-sweet scent - just like juicy and fresh pink grapefruit. The scrub type is one of my favourites too - Mineral Rich Sea Salt flakes with nourishing oils and butters - it's got the perfect amount of scrubbiness as well as a gorgeous scent. Just love!

To use: apply to dry or slightly damp skin, massaging all over the body before rinsing for silky smooth, delicately scented and soft skin.

The Organic Pink Grapefruit Body Lotion (150ml - £16) is packaged in a pump action bottle. The actual lotion is quite runny and absorbs instantly leaving the skin feeling nourished and smelling of pink grapefruit! Formulated with Organic Cocoa Butter, Coconut, Safflower and Sunflower oils along with calming Aloe Vera and antioxidant Vitamin E. This is a lovely lotion which is perfect for brightening up winter days and would also be fabulous to use during the summer months.

To use: apply to dry skin after bathing or showering for deliciously nourished skin.

I love this uplifting duo (didn't you guess) and am sure to buy coming into Spring and Summer. What are your favourites from the brand?

*Love Lula Beauty Box: May 2019

*productsample/sent to me as part of the Love Lula Accredited Blogger Program for an honest review What a brilliant Beauty Box this month! Inside are 4 full sizes and one sachet sample. WOW! The box is worth £67!

The Madara RE:GENE Lifting Mask is full size (60ml) and worth £35. It had been on my wishlist so I was delighted to see it nestling inside the box this month. It will lift, plump, smooth and firm the skin. Expect a review soon!

I'm a huge fan of the aromatic Seascape Island Apothecary range and inside is their Refresh Hand Lotion which is in a huge pump bottle (300ml - £16). The lotion is perfect for coming into summer for a lighter hand treat (and it smells glorious - Lavender, Lemongrass & Geranium). I think this one may make it's way onto my desk at work!

From new to me brand (and to Love Lula) there is exotically scented Sandalwood & Ylang Ylang Body Scrub by Ayumi (200ml - £6.99). Again, a review will follow!

Last but no means least is JOIK's Pastel Pink Silky Lip Balm (7g - £6) which will nurture the lips leaving them with a pop of pinky-peach colour. I think this would be perfect for summer and holidays. Also inside is a sachet of Vestige Verdant Peat Mask.

Love Lula: JOIK Primavera Soy Wax Scented Candle 145g

I was very kindly gifted* this candle as part of the Love Lula Accredited Blogger Program. I've previously tried one of JOIK's other candles (Hot Chocolate*). See my review HERE.

I chose Primavera Soy Wax Scented Candle (145g - £13.50)* as I thought it would evoke a feeling of spring and longer days. I also love the uplifting blue shade of the natural wax. The candles are lovely and great value with a burn time of approximately 30hrs. The glass jar is recyclable or re-usable and the wax used is from renewable natural resources.

The scent is "a fresh and gentle aroma of spring flowers gently veiled by citrus notes resting on a base of precious woods".

The scent very gently scents the room (it might work better in a smaller room than one with high ceilings like mine) but it is nice to use and definitely has a fresh "spring" floral scent.

What's your favourite candle by JOIK?

Love Lula Beauty Box: June 2018

June's Love Lula Beauty Box* is absolutely fantastic! It's worth £67 this month and includes a new brand to Love Lula and a new product in the Walden Perfumes range.

So what's inside: the first thing to jump out at me was Walden Perfume's latest launch See the Moonlight Rollerball Natural Perfume Oil (10ml which is worth £17). Its a stunning blend of bergamot, jasmine, rose, sandalwood and ambrette seed. It was inspired by the Henry David Thoreau quote "I did not wish to take a cabin passage, but rather to go before the mast and on the deck of the world, for there I could best see the moonlight amidst the mountains". See my review of Two Eternities* HERE.

New brand at Love Lula is L’ODAÏTÈS and inside is a full size product worth £39Gentle Polyphenol Exfoliator (60ml) is made with dates and other skin loving ingredients. It's best applied to a cleansed face. Leave on a few moments before gently massaging and rinsing. Looking forward to testing this out.

From JOIK we have their Refreshing Facial Toner with Aloe & Sea Buckthorn Oil (100ml - £10) which I've reviewed previous. See HERE and a sachet of their Sweet Orange & Mint Body Butter.

The final item is a trial size of REN's & Now to Sleep Pillow Spray (10ml) which is a nice additional lifestyle item. I'm always happy to try out new sleep aids!

As always, there is a coupon code for 20% off the brands in the box - which is a lovely added extra.

Shopping My Stash #97

Here's what I've been reaching for this week:

From Walden Natural Perfumes I've been enjoying The Solid Earth EdP* which opens with Petitgrain, has heart notes of Patchouli, Rosewood & Black Pepper and a base of Vetiver and Amyris. It's woody, spicy and creamy and perfect for winter. The other one I've been reaching for from the range is A Different Drummer EdP* which has top notes of fruity Bergamot and Tobacco with a heart of Cedarwood, Black Pepper and Patchouli. Base notes are Amyris, Tonka Bean and Vanilla. It's spicy, woody and has a touch of sweetness.

I love picking up samples with my order (you can pick up to 5 with a £10 order for a small nominal charge - see the selection currently available HERE). This month as part of my Love Lula Accredited Blogger picks I chose REN's Satin Perfection BB Cream 3ml* (£1) which we've received before in a beauty box. This is the perfect try-me size as you get several uses from the tube. The silicone free BB cream has colour adaptive technology meaning it will adjust to your skin tone giving flawless and sheer cover (yup, full size is on the wishlist!)

From last March's Beauty Box* I've been enjoying Laidbare's For Richer for Porer Pore Minimiser Facial Masque* (50ml - £7.99) which I find perfect to use on my oily t-zone. It's formulated with Kaolin Clay which draws out impurities and toxins, Japanese Seaweed extract detoxifies and smoothes, Shea Butter hydrates, Liquorice reduces inflammation and Rose Water soothes. The masque also contains natural micro-exfoliation particles which help to stimulate cell renewal and exfoliate. It really makes my skin look bright, healthy and clear.

My final duo are from the JOIK Advent Calendar** first up their gorgeous Silky Lipbalm - Velvety Red (which is worth £6) and gives the lips a moisturising pop of colour. The second item is their Sweet Orange & Mint Body Oil 50ml which deeply nourishes the skin leaving it smelling delicious. You can see my thoughts on the Advent Calendar contents HERE.

*All items featured I received as part of the Love Lula Accredited Blogger Program.

JOIK Advent Calendar: Top Picks

I really enjoyed the JOIK Advent Calendar* which I chose in November as my #LLABP pick (partly paid by me).

I've got 17 top picks which out of 24 is pretty good going! (and right now it's still on sale if you fancy it (£85.60). The products I wasn't so keen on were - Raspberry Bon Bon Shower Oil 50ml, Luxurious Citrus Bath Milk (because it had opened in transit and covered most things in a light powder), Micellar Water 50ml, Juicy Apple Shower Foam 50ml, Deep Moisturising All Over Balm 15ml, Oriental Night Soap 40gr and the Vanille scented sachet 30gr I thought was only ok as I didn't find the scent very long-lasting.

Onto the products I loved:

Rejuvenating Eye Contour Cream 8ml which I've been enjoying using. It helps to reduce wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles. The cream is stuffed full of ingredients which help smooth out wrinkles, add moisture, help with collagen and elastin production, nourish and plump. I'd buy full size.

I also love Exfoliating Facial Scrub 15ml which has a rich creamy texture and citrus scent. Bamboo stem and olive granules gently exfoliate along with AHA fruit acids of bilberry, cane sugar, maple sugar, orange and lemon. Coconut oil, shea butter and sunflower oil moisturise and nourish.

Cleansing Facial Foam 50ml is really lovely to use and refreshing in my morning shower. I love the light as air foam which I find gives a really good clean and refreshes the skin. It also has fruity scent which is uplifting.

I love using the Moisturizing Day Cream 30ml in conjunction with both the Regenerating Night Cream 30ml and the Silky Facial Serum 10ml. I've found the trio work very well together. I'll do a full review shortly on the trio.

I thought the Spiced Cranberry Soy Wax Candle 145g was a great addition to the calendar. I love it's gentle spicy Christmas aroma with notes of cranberry, cinnamon, cardamon, nutmeg and clove.

Citrus & Bergamot Body Butter 50ml absorbs instantly and leaves the skin with a beautiful citrus aroma and deeply nourished. While Raspberry Bon Bon Body Butter 50ml smells good enough to eat! It has a sweet and slightly fruity raspberry scent.

Sweet Orange & Mint Body Oil 50ml also absorbs instantly and leaves the skin smelling fresh, fruity with the skin hydrated and nourished. A special blend of nurturing oils are used and I like the spray bottle top too! I like to use the body oil in conjunction with the matching Sweet Orange & Mint Body Scrub 75ml which has the same delicious scent with for me personally, the perfect amount of scrubbiness.

Rose & Red Clay Soap 40g smells just glorious. I'm a huge fan of bars of soap (hopefully full sizes will land at Love Lula soon!) Apple & Elderflower Foaming Handwash 50ml is again a favourite. I love the foamy texture and the uplifting fruity scent.

I absolutely adore JOIK's White Chocolate Bath Truffles see my review HERE.

Illuminating Passionfruit & Mango Body Milk 50ml and Green Tea & Cucumber Body Lotion 50ml which I think would be perfect for packing for your summer holidays.

The final item I loved from the Advent Calendar was the fantastic Velvety Red Silky Lip Balm which adds a pop of nourishing colour to the lips.

Do we share any favourites? What are your overall thoughts on the JOIK Advent Calendar?
