The Edinburgh Natural Skincare Company - The Queen Bee Luxury Body Bar

I bought this Queen Bee Luxury Body Bar a while ago from The Edinburgh Natural Skincare Company at Pout Edinburgh in September (and I got to meet Tommy the owner and creator of all the products).  The body bar also appeared in my Shopping the Stash - Week 2 in January.

The Edinburgh Natural Skincare Company is a small Scottish Company who make hand crafted soaps and natural body care products which are made with no artificial ingredients, preservatives, parabens, SLS etc.

Scented with "St Clements" - Sweet Orange, Lemongrass, Lime and Honey - its absolutely gorgeous!  Great for massage or for using as a body moisturiser. Retails at £6.50 for 60g.

Made using East Lothian Beeswax, Cocoa Butter, Eco Sustainable Palm oil, essential oils and honey.

To use: rub onto the hands, body or face.  It comes packaged in a tin making it easy for carrying about in your handbag or for holidays.  It leaves the skin super moisturised and beautifully scented.

Pout Edinburgh

What a lovely day my friend Janet and I had at Pout yesterday.  We started off with a free Cosmopolitan cocktail and a lovely goody bag (pic to follow).

At Paterson SA Hairdressing we met Ian and Tegan, both very passionate about what they do.  I had a chat with Ian about tipping! Very interesting.  We also got a lovely GHD goody bag.

In the goody bag there was a mini branded brush and mirror.

More drinks followed and we had a wander round the stalls.  I bought The Queen Bee Luxury Body Bar from The Edinburgh Natural Skincare Company.  I previously bought their bath truffle and you can see my review here.

The Queen Bee Luxury Body Bar is scented with Sweet Orange, Lemongrass, Lime and Honey.  Can be used on the hands, body and face.  Review to follow.

We also met Tommy who owns the company and makes the products and he invited us to the factory in North Berwick to see the products being made! WOW! Thanks Tommy.

We met the lovely ladies from The Crafty Cauldron who had lots of lovely bath and body products.  Janet bought a little gift set with body oil and bath salts.  She's going to let me know her thoughts.

You could pre-book your appointment at the Nail and Brow bar.

We met Fraser and Chris from the gym.  They were offering Pout attendees free joining fee if you sign up before midnight on Sunday.  At £10.99 a month and no contract I'm very tempted.  Going to go to view on 15 October.

We met the girls behind Beautography, Nicola and Julie.  They run Scotland's first combined beauty spa and professional photography studio.  Basically this means you can have a facial, manicure, pedicure, hair styling, make up and then get your photo taken.  All services can be used independently too. There are specific packages available, please see the website for more information.  It's nearby to me so I may pop in for a treatment or two.

The PA Exchange is a virtual forum.  You sign up and ask for information and recommendations from other members.  There are also discounts and offers.  Susan sends an informative email around at least once a week.  PAX in the City 2012 takes place on 7 November from 4pm-7.30pm at the George Hotel, Edinburgh.  This is a fabulous event with exhibitors, wine and nibbles, beauty and pampering, discounts and offers.  Only £5 a ticket.  You can order online here.

And I won a raffle prize!

Here is what we got in the goody bag from Debenhams and Paterson SA (plus I picked up a few extra samples from around the stalls).

Sebastian Shaper Fierce Finishing Hairspray 50ml, Sebastian Volupt Volume Boosting Shampoo 10ml, Sebastian Potion 9 Styling Treatment 10ml, Sebastian Hydre Deep Moisturising Treatment 10ml, £10 voucher to use before 30 November at Paterson SA.

New CID i-gloss in Raspberry Kiss, Models Own Nail Polish in Garnet, Models Own Nail File, Clarins Beauty Flash Balm 5ml, Marc Jacobs Oh Lola EDP 1.5ml, Givenchy for her EDP Intense sachet, umbrella, notebook, The Little Black Book..Edinburgh.  I also got a couple of samples from the stalls - sk:in 3ml samples of cleanser, moisturiser and hand cream and a sachet of Macadamia Deep Repair Masque 15ml.

A great day out! Highly recommend it.  You can visit today or tomorrow - Saturday 11-7 and Sunday 11-5.

Dinner at The Skylark, Pampering & Pout

Last night we went out for dinner to a local bistro & bar - The Skylark.  This is only the second time we've been for dinner, we've also been for drinks and I've met a friend for coffee and (amazing) scones.  The cakes are fantastic too!

pan seared corn fed chicken breast on pearl barley & a red wine jus

Vibrant Summer Fish Stew

coffee and macaroons - nom nom!

I also did some pampering prior to going to Pout tomorrow (meeting a friend for lunch before going along to the preview event).

Here's what I used:

Jo Malone Grapefruit Bath Oil - I received this at my birthday from hubby.  Absolutely love and use it sparingly!

For my hair Naked Marula Fruit & Provitamins Revitalising Hair Treatment - single use sachet.  I got this in my Fayek Beauty Box.

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask - this is one of my #Samples 3 - gorgeous!

Rituals Wai Wang Exfoliating Body Scrub - got this a while back with a magazine as a freebie - lovely product.

Angela Langford Perfect Pores Serum & Balanced & Beautiful Facial Oil - testing these for review at the moment.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Body Cream - love this first reviewed it here.

I also picked up some gourmet marshmallows from The Marshmallow Lady - they are simply delicious! I bought them at Lickety Splits.  I picked Vanilla Bean flavour.  Other flavours include Beer, Raspberry, Key Lime Pie and Irn Bru!  Apparently the cafe serves amazing hot chocolate - I'll have to pop by!  You can follow The Marshmallow Lady on Twitter @burghbakes.  There is also an excellent review in Bite Magazine.
