*Laouta: Dark Resin All Natural Soy Wax Wood Wick Candle

*sent to me free of charge as a Love Lula Accredited Blogger Program member. All thoughts are genuine (there are no affiliate links). I've been trying Laouta's newest launch - their All Natural Soy Wax Wood Wick Candle in Dark Resin (£25 - 200g)* which is made with 100% Eco Soy Wax.

The candle comes presented in a recyclable box and the candle within is in a rustic handmade ceramic pot with a wooden wick which gives a nice crackling noise when burning. (there is a circle on the pot above the Laouta branding which I'm not sure is meant to be there or not! For me it spoils the look of the candle). The rim also has some black marks on it which for me, would make it a no-no for gifting.

The candle does look nice when burning.

I didn't find that there was much a throw with the scent (nor, for me did it smell of dark resin). The scent was more citrus/floral - I was expecting amber, patchouli and woods - so that's disappointing too. I also found it tunnelled rather than burning smoothly.

So, in summary unfortunately the candle is not for me - I prefer ones with a huge throw (and which smell of the scent you are expecting). I do however love Laouta's Beach Body Oil* and Repair Hair Oil* (see my review HERE). What's your favourites from the brand?

July Empties

Here's what I've been using up in July:

Rodial Pink Diamonds Magic Day Gel 2ml sachet - my skin loved this deliciously scented gel. So much so I rushed out and bought a 9ml travel size. It's perfect for summer as it's so light and absorbs instantly.

Neal's Yard Remedies Frankincense Intense Lift Serum 2ml - again, my skin loved this. I'd love to try full size and will maybe pick it up in autumn.

As you'll know I'm doing project 10 pan for perfumes - see my posts HERE and HERE. This Shay & Blue Dandelion Fig Perfume 30ml is my third empty in the project 10 pan. I've got another bottle of this but it's one I'll buy again and again.

As you'll probably know I'm obsessed with Beauty Pie. This is my first empty from them - their Great Skin Foundation in Fair 150 Shell 30ml. See my review HERE. This foundation lasted just under six months (I'd also been using some other ones during that period). I've now got back ups of back ups!

D'Alchemy Neck & Decolletage Wrinkle Refill 1.5ml - which was quite a small sachet for the area it's to cover. I liked it but only got one and a bit uses from the sachet so not sure (I adore the brand though!)

REN Atlantic Kelp & Microalgae Anti-Fatigue Bath Oil 10ml - nice to use, not sure I noticed much difference with reviving tiredness but would buy again.

Micheline Arcier Aromatherapie Harmonie Bath Oil 15ml - the creme de la creme of bath oils! You only need the tiniest amount for a richly scented relaxing bath. I received this one in my February Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box. It's always on the wishlist!

Dr Hauschka Regenerating Hand Cream 15ml - which was gorgeous! I'll definitely pick this up full size when my stash reduces a bit.

Clockface Beauty Cuticle & Hand Oil with Frankincense & Rose Otto 10ml - totally fell head-over-heels for this. See my review HERE. I'll definitely buy this again.

Innersenses Pure Harmony Hair Bath 59.15ml - nice to revisit this brand which can be bought at places like Naturisimo and Content Beauty.

YTTP Superfoods Cleanser which I first tried via A Beautiful World. See my review HERE. I've got another of these stashed away which I bought in Sephora.

Molton Brown Fiery Pink Pepper Bath & Shower Gel 30ml - nice to use, maybe not my fav MB scent so wouldn't buy.

Belenos Skin Botanique Repair Serum - loved this. See my review HERE. Would buy when my stash reduces a bit.

*Laouta Beach Body Oil Fig SPF6 100ml - loved this summer inspired low SPF which I used mainly as a body oil. See my review HERE.

What have you been using up this month?

*Love Lula: Laouta & Antipodes

*Sent to me as part of the Love Lula Accredited Blogger Program for honest review. My post contains one affiliate link. I'm always excited to see new brands land at Love Lula. The latest one to pique my interested is Greek brand, Laouta. I picked three of their products to try and review (I also picked a sample by Antipodes).

Laouta Fig Beach Body Oil SPF6 (100ml - £18 currently on offer at £16.20) is lush! Housed in a Eco Bottle made with sugarcane with "I am Green" on the outside. It's the perfect holiday companion (although the factor is a little on the low side for using for strong sunlight). It'd be perfect for using as a body oil evening-time. It's got a lush sweet fig scent which screams summer! I'll be packing one for my summer hols.

I'm equally impressed with their Repair Hair Oil (100ml - £20, currently on offer at £18). Don't you just love that simple but luxe packaging! The oil has a delicious fresh citrus scent. It'll smooth and repair hair - use it as a pre-shampoo treatment, before blow drying or to tame flyaways.

Their mini Repair Balm (15ml - £8.50, currently on offer at £7.65) has a glorious grapefruit scent. I love the cardboard packaging with can be composted or recycled. This is the balm you need to take on holiday as it's multi-use - face, hands, cracked or sunburned skin, lips, flyaways - anywhere which needs some TLC.

My final pick this month is a sachet of Antipodes Manuka Honey Skin Brightening Eye Cream (full size £35.99 - 30ml, sachet - 50p - 3ml). I love sachets as they are the perfect try me/for holidays. It's a lovely thick cream with a Manuka honey herbal type scent which absorbs easy. I'll get a good few uses from the sachet so I'll let you know my fuller thoughts in an empties post.

Have you tried any of these products?
