*John Masters Organics Review

*PR Sample - AD It's been really nice revisiting two John Masters Organics Haircare products and a new to-me Lip Calm.

In 1994, John Masters, a leading stylist in NYC began working with the best organic ingredients and seeing clients at his Manhattan apartment. He soon opened his first salon which prided itself on using no damaging colourants or chemical treatments. His singular vision has become a global brand and products can be bought all over the world. Pick your up directly HERE or at places like Love LulaNaturisimo or Content Beauty, to name a few.

I've been trying their 2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner for dry scalp with Zinc & Sage (236ml - £24)* which is presented in a flip top recyclable bottle. It'll clean, exfoliate and soothe dry scalps as well as give the hair a light condition leaving it soft and shiny looking.

To use: wet hair, lather and rinse. I've enjoyed revisiting this shampoo which gently cleanses and conditions without irritating a dry scalp.

Follow with the fantastic Hair Milk with Rose & Apricot (118ml - £29)* again, great to revisit. See my review HERE. It's a luxurious leave in treat which smells glorious. Hair feels soft, smooth, looks healthy and nourished.

To use: apply a small amount to towel dried hair before styling. So nice to revisit. This is the product which is a must-have in any hair stash for silky smooth and hydrated locks.

I was also sent Lip Calm in Pomegranate (4g - £7)* which is a deeply nourishing stick packed with ingredients such as, jojoba, olive and borage oils with a fruity aroma. It's perfect for helping to keep your lips soft, hydrated and kissable!

To use: apply to lips as often as needed. A lovely fruity lip balm which keeps dry and chapped lips moisturised. Lets face it one can never have too many lipbalms!

Have you used any of these? What's your favourite John Masters Organics product?

*Love Lula: John Masters Organics Maximum Moisturizer with Mandarin & Glycoproteins 50ml

*sent to me free of charge for review as a member of the Love Lula Accredited Blogger Program. My post contains a couple of affiliate links. I'd only ever tried John Masters Organics Maximum Moisturizer with Mandarin & Glycoproteins (50ml - £49.50)* as a sachet sample a few times. My skin loved it and so it's great to test it out full size. The slim tube comes boxed and both are recyclable.

The lightweight formula absorbs almost instantly and the cream has a gorgeous aromatic scent. It'll hydrate, brighten and make your skin glow and it's suitable for all skin types. Infused with brightening mandarin extract, calming aloe vera and skin smoothing aspen bark.

To use: apply to cleansed skin daily

Although I've not been using the moisturizer all that long I can definitely see a marked improvement with hydration and my skin is looking more healthy. One for the long winter months. This one's a keeper.

*Shopping My Stash #116

*means I've generously received the product free of charge as part of the Love Lula Accredited Blogger Program. All brands in the post are available to buy at Love Lula (they've got a summer sale on right now. Check it out HERE). Here's what I've been reaching for:

I love that you can choose 5 samples/trial sizes with a purchase of £10+ for a nominal cost. The Organic Pharmacy's Peppermint Facial Wash 20ml* trial size costs £6.50 and it's perfect for try-me or holidays and there's enough product inside to really get a feel if you'd like it/it suits your skin (full size is 100ml and costs £35). The wash is gently antibacterial, unisex and is also good for teen skin. Eucalyptus & Peppermint purify while Lavender & Tea Tree are antiseptics. The wash has a slight lather and a pleasant herbal/minty scent. I like to use it in my morning shower. Full size is now on the wishlist!

As now hand sanitisers are the new norm (I've got one in my desk at work, one in each of my handbags and a few at home). I really rate Alteya Organics's one. See my review HERE.

I've only really dabbled with SOiL's essential oils before but it turns out they've got a nice range of remedy rollers and massage oils. Their REVIVE remedy roller 11ml is the perfect size to pop in a pocket or handbag for use on the go. I've found it really does revive! The rollerball contains geranium & grapefruit to balance while rosemary & basil refresh the mind and boost energy (blended in a base of organic soy and sesame oils). Simply roll onto pulse points as needed.

This actual John Masters Organics's mini Leave-In Conditioning Mist with Green Tea & Calendula came in a discovery box but you can buy the full size at Love Lula (I'll definitely be replenishing). This lightweight nutrient rich mist conditions and detangles and leaves the hair feeling soft and looking shiny. Love!

My final pick is my favourite Ooh! Oils of Heaven Organic Plum Conditioning Face Oil 30ml* which I received in my JUNE Love Lula Beauty Box. I totally fell in love with it. See my review HERE. This one's nearly finished (but I stocked up during the recent offer!) It truly is sublime.

Naturisimo: Vegan Life Discovery Box

As you know, I can never resist a Naturisimo Discovery Box! Their latest one is Vegan Life Discovery Box and inside are 9 hand picked items with a total value of £80! Pick up a box for £18.95 plus p&p (or free with a £25 spend).

It's absolutely stuffed full!

From Pai Skincare there's a 2ml tube of their Perfect Balance Blemish Serum which I've not tried before. I do get occasional spots (who doesn't?) so I'm looking forward to putting it to the test.

From Inika there's a full size (and worth £19.50) Lipstick Crayon in Pink Nude, a very wearable, suit everyone shade. I love this! (and it's always nice to see a couple of make up items in boxes!)

I received Boucleme's Exfoliating Scalp Shampoo 100ml (£12) in a previous discovery box and my scalp loves this effective detoxifying shampoo. Happy to have another in my stash!

Antipodes's Rejoice Day Cream 15ml had been on my wishlist so this is why (along with the JMO product) the box firmly landed in my basket! A review will come.

From Fushi there is 50ml of their Organic Jojoba Oil (£14) which is great to nourish the skin and hair (I also love the glass bottle packaging).

The second item to sway me into buying the box was John Masters Organics Green Tea & Calendula Leave-In Conditioning Mist 30ml (worth £10) as it had been on my wishlist for what seemed like forever!

Ever luxe, a dinky jewel from RMS Beauty. I adore mini make up products and this one's a beaut. Inside is their Luminizing Powder Madeira Bronze 2g which will leave the skin glowy and radiant.

Rounding up the box are 3 x 5g sachets from The Nue Co of their Debloat Food & Prebiotic which are great if you suffer constipation and bloating. These are very much an acquired taste (vile) but do work. Rounding up the box is a 40g sachet of Form Nutrition's Superblend Protein Chocolate Caramel, a protein shake containing 20g plant based Vegan protein.

*Love Lula Beauty Box: April 2020

The Love Lula Beauty Box is sent to me free of charge as a Love Lula Accredited Blogger for an honest review. April's box is worth £57 and contains 4 full sizes and one sachet sample (as ever there is a 20% off code for future purchases for the brands in the box this month).

From John Masters Organics there is a full size Lip Calm 4g (£7) which has a delicious tangerine-lime scent (I've used this before but not for years) so I'm happy to have it back in my stash again - it'll deeply nourish, soothe and care for the lips.

Also inside are Madara's BOOST Hyaluronic Collagen Booster Ampoules (10 x 3ml, £29.90). I've used their other ampoules which I enjoyed so I'm looking forward to trying their new hyaluronic collagen boosting ones!

From Ayumi is their NEEM & Tea Tree Body Wash 250ml (£6.99) which has a herbal minty aroma (not too tea-tree-ish thankfully!) I'm looking forward to trying it out for an uplifting morning shower.

The final full size item is Nature's Kitchen Berry Beautiful Skin Polish 100ml (£12.99) which has a berry scent and light exfoliating action. I'm looking forward to trying this one out!

The final item is a sachet (these vary box, per box) from INIKA's new Phytofuse Renew skincare range - I was pleased to receive a sample of something I'd not tried yet (I've tried mini tubes of the hand cream and caviar lime exfoliator). My sachet was their Camellia Oil Cleanser 1.5ml.

November Empties

I'm not going to use up anymore products this month so here are my November empties:

I love Noble Isle's Summer Rising Cornish Hedgerows Bath & Shower Gel 250ml so I'm sure to buy this again. See my review HERE.

I just love, love, love Inner Senses Greenhouse Tomato & Carrot Seed Oil Cleanser and this wee 5ml is the perfect try-me size or for travel. See my review HERE. I'm sure to pick up full size when my cleansing oil stash reduces in size!

I've loved all the Five Dot Botanics products I've tried so far. Deep Feed Nourishing Facial Serum 5ml was an instagram win. It's beautiful and I'm sure to buy again. See my review HERE.

I've much love for bodhi & birch's Superfoods Series Tomato Seed Cleansing Fluid* (now called Cleansing Oil). See my review HERE. This is gorgeous and I've a couple of minis still in my stash.

John Masters Organic Sea Mist 266ml which I've had for what seems like forever! I tend to use this in the summer and on holiday. Nice for beachy waves. Probably would only buy the mini size in future. Good product though.

I loved Khus+Khus Bleu Body Serum 200ml* which seemed to last forever! See my review HERE. This was lush and I'd definitely consider buying if my body product stash ever reduces.

Lovely NorthburN, their products really are a delight! I love their Luxury Bathing Salts and these Rebalance* ones were gorgeous. See my review HERE. These are the bath salts you "need" in your life/stash!

My final empty this month is a huge 400ml of NUXE's Melting Shower Gel, which my pal Julie gave me for my birthday in April - it's lasted ages! Gorgeous to use.

June Empties

I'm not going to use anything else up this month so here are my June empties. Items marked with * are product samples.

*Alteya Organics Rose & Mullein Hydrating Flower Toner 120ml - I'm a huge fan of this brand and loved this hydrating rosy toner. See my review HERE. Will buy when my stash reduces.

Byredo Bal D'Afrique Hand Cream 30ml - I really enjoyed this hand cream which deeply nourished the hands and nails and left them delicately scented. I picked this up from a friend who was selling it. I'd maybe buy again.

Clarins Rose Radiance Cream 5ml - which was a Feel Unique pick 'n' mix sample. I loved it's rosy scent and how quickly it absorbed. Would buy.

Sisley Purifying Balancing Lotion 15ml - this came via my subscription with Sisley (which I stopped as the samples were getting quite samey). Nice enough to use but wouldn't buy.

Noble Isle Rhubarb Rhubarb! & Tea Rose Bath & Shower Gel (both 30ml) - I adored both these which came as gift with purchase. Would buy both full size.

Zing Organics Elevate Body Oil with Frankincense & Clementine 80ml - which came in my January Box which I reviewed HERE. I'll re-purchase this when my body oil stash reduces.

Guerlain Abeille Royal Youth Water Oil 0.5ml - which seemed nice but such a teeny sample.

Upcircle Face Scrub x 3 (8g) Herbal (oily/combo), Floral (sensitive) and Citrus (dry). These are new products by Upcircle which I enjoyed using. I'd maybe buy once my stash reduces.  Upcircle Lemongrass Body Scrub 10g which was nice to use. My favourite scent is peppermint. The one I really want to try full size is the Face Serum 2ml which is absolutely fantastic.

Dafna's Purify Cleanser 1ml - again a small sample, not really enough to get a feel for the product.

John Masters Organics Repair Conditioner 10ml - which seemed quite nice. I only got one use from the sachet so would probably need to try it again before passing judgement.

My final sample this month is Sol Janeiro Coco Cabana Cream 7.5ml - again this was a Feel Unique sample. I prefer the original bum bum cream scent. This one was just a little bit artificial for me so wouldn't buy.

Love Lula: Beauty Box: September 2018

It's always a happy day when my Love Lula Beauty Box* arrives. This month the value is £65 (monthly recurring UK - £13.95, 3 months international £52.50).

So what's inside:

There are 4 full sizes this month! Plus 4 very handy sachets from John Masters Organics (which will be put in my travel bag for later in the year).

From a new brand at Love Lula The Castilian Soap Company is 250ml of their Fragrance Free Natural Castile Soap which is worth £8. I'd been looking at this brand recently so I'm looking forward to trying it.

Kathleen is a brand which have been on my radar but this is my very first try. Inside is their Tonifying Mist 150ml (£23). It will hydrate, soothe, heal and revitalise. Expect a review of this once I've had the chance to try it.

From Inika there is Loose Mineral Blush in Blooming Nude 3g (£23) which is made from pure pigment meaning your blush will last all day! This seems a nice neutral browny shade and it's good to see a make up item in the box.

From Macho and Bling, another fairly new brand at Love Lula (the range is unisex) is their Anti-Pollution Face Scrub Grapefruit 30ml (£6.50) which smells amazing! The scrub itself is fairly gentle and will slough off dead skin cells leaving the skin refreshed and brightened.

The final items are 4 x John Masters Organics hair care sachets (each 10ml) which are perfect for try me or travel. We have: Evening Primrose Shampoo for Dry Hair, Lavender & Avocado Intensive Conditioner, Citrus & Neroli Detangler and Rose & Apricot Hair Milk (REVIEW).

*sent to me as part of the Love Lula Accredited Blogger Program. All thoughts are genuine. I think the box is great this month!

Naturismo: Hair Food Discovery Box

As you'll know I can never resist a Naturisimo Discovery Box. I snapped up their latest one Hair Food Discovery Box (£17.95) which is worth £47.

Inside are 12 hair treats - travel and sample size - which are great for try-me or holidays.

I've used Yarok's Feed Your Ends (59ml) before and found it really suited my hair. It detangles, lightly conditions and protects the hair from blow drying and straightening. It's a great summer must-have.

From John Masters Organics is one of my summer must-haves Sea Mist (60ml) which gives the hair body and beachy waves. Love!

I was excited to see a new to me product from Meow Meow Tweet, a sample size (32g) of their Rosemary Avocado Shampoo Bar which nourishes, conditions and softens the hair. I'm looking forward to trying this out!

I just love Tabitha James Kraan's Scented Organic Hair Oil 3ml which leaves the hair shiny, glossy and silky smooth. See my review HERE. I'm really happy to have this little beauty back in my stash!

From Rahua there are two very generous trial sizes (22ml each) of their Voluminous Shampoo & Conditioner. These will add volume and shine. I've tried these before and my hair seems to like them!

From Briogeo is their Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray (22ml) which is currently in my stash (love). It lightly conditions and provides long lasting hydration.

From Madara there are two 10ml sachets - Colour & Shine Shampoo and Conditioner and sachets from Green People (both 5ml) of their Intensive Repair Shampoo & Conditioner.

The final item is geared more towards curls Boucleme Intensive Moisture Treatment 50ml which deeply nourishes and enhances beautiful glossy curls.

It's a great box - what are your thoughts? Did you pick one up?

Shopping my Stash #91

Here's what I've been reaching for:

Fabulous new to me brand help me organics (I received their "help me it's way past my bedtime" Room Spray) in the brilliant Skin Organics Beauty Box see my thoughts on the August Self Care Box* HERE. The spray contains melissa, lavender, eucalyptus and ginger in a witch hazel base. It calms and destresses and is great to use before bed for a restful and peaceful night's sleep.

From John Masters Organics is something I always have in my stash - their fabulous Rose & Apricot Hair Milk which I reviewed HERE.

I recently tried some try me sizes from OKKO which I loved. I've been enjoying their delicious coconut & lime lip balm which is available at Love Lula.  The balm is super moisturising and smells delicious. My only bug-bear is that you have to be careful not to push the balm up too much (as it won't go back down again!) I do however love the recyclable packaging.

This new lipstick (South Pacific Coral) from Antipodes is absolutely gorgeous! The colour is a beautiful long lasting coral shade. It deeply nourishes the lips and the shade is perfect for summer and coming into autumn. I can't wait to pick up some more!

I love the range of perfumes from Balm Balm. Rose Geranium is a sweet rosey scent which can be worn alone or layered with a mixture of the others from the range.

I just adore calm-inducing Isla Apothecary Reset Ritual Pulse Point Therapy* (10ml - £12)** which helps to reset "thought patterns that no longer serve you, clear stagnant energy and introduce calm".

It's a blend of Roman chamomile, eucalyptus and lavender and is great to use to de-stress and clear muddled thoughts. It's also great to bring relief to hayfever, itchy eyes, sneezing, congested sinuses, headaches and drowsiness. It helps me when I'm needing a helping hand with things like travelling or for a moment of calm.

What have you been reaching for lately?

Only Naturals: John Masters Organics: Lavender Holiday Collection

I'm a huge fan of John Masters Organics as I find their products really work. I've used all the products before which are contained in this lavender holiday collection (£38) and really rate them highly.

The kit contains 2 full size items and one travel size - John Masters Organics Lavender Rosemary Shampoo (236ml) which gently cleanses the hair leaving it looking healthy and shiny, John Masters Organics Lavender & Avocado Intensive Conditioner (207ml) which deeply nourishes dry and damaged hair (this would be perfect to take on your summer holidays to help with sun damaged hair) and a mini Rose & Apricot Hair Milk (30ml) which I reviewed HERE and is one of my favourite products.

It really is a great set for fans of the brand and for those wanting to try it for the first time.

Yesterday my Love Lula Beauty Box* landed! It's absolutely brilliant this month and worth £60. I'd already seen what was in the box via the fabulous new Love Lula Natural Beauty Club on Facebook.

So what's inside?

The first product (which I'd actually had prior knowledge that it was going to be in the box this month) is a new launch by Lyonsleaf Marshmallow Soften & Rejuvenate Facial Oil (30ml - £14.99) which I'm excited to try! From PHB there is a full size All-in-One Mascara in Black (10ml - £15.95) a make up item in a beauty box is always very welcome and this one seems fab! It's an award winner which lengthens, thickens and volumises and is also water resistant. I tried it out yesterday and was suitably impressed!

I adore John Masters Organics and this month we have a 60ml bottle of Spearmint & Meadowsweet Shampoo (worth £6) which purifies, helps to remove build up, stimulates the scalp and hydrates.

The final item this month is from REN a 3ml trial size of their Satin Perfection BB Cream (which I've tried before and enjoyed).

As ever there is a very generous 20% discount code for any of the brands in the box this month. A brilliant, brilliant box this month. Did you pick one up? What are your thoughts on the contents?

Love Lula Beauty Box: May 2017

My May Love Lula Beauty Box* arrived the other day and as ever it's fantastic value for money (from June it's going up to £13.95 recurring a month for UK subscribers which includes P&P) but even with the tiny rise it's one of the best value monthly beauty boxes out there. This month the contents are worth £45 and there are 3 full sizes inside as well as 2 travel sizes.

So what's inside:

From Laidbare there is DIY! Two in One Cleanser & Toner 125ml (£6.99)* which cleanses and tones the skin and is suitable for all skin types. I'm looking forward to trying this one!

From PHB Ethical Beauty we have Gentle Moisturiser with Shea Butter & Apricot 50ml (£16.95)* which soothes, calms and nourishes sensitive skins. My skin isn't really sensitive but this seems lovely so I'll definitely be trying it out.

Budget Beauty: 5 under £6

Here's some of my top picks for bargain beauty:

AA Skincare Green Tea & Aloe Vera Soothing Cleansing Wipes (£3.30 for 25 wipes). I don't always use cleansing wipes but find them handy to use after a night out or on holiday. These ones are super gentle on the skin and leave the skin feeling clean and refreshed.

PHB Ethical Beauty Peppermint Sugar Scrub* (100g - £4.95) which is fantastic! It's shaped like a bar of soap making it easy to use in the shower. It has quite a scrubby texture and is made with sugar, cocoa butter, plant oils, peppermint essential oil and cornflowers. It's absolutely fantastic value for money and very effective.

John Masters Organics Sea Mist (60ml - £5) which creates the perfect beachy waves.

Herbal Forest Chai Spice Lip Balm (0.15oz - £3.49)** which smells like chai tea! A rich and fragrant lip balm. See my review HERE.

My final pick is the most expensive of the lot at £5.50 for 50ml. It's the gorgeous Bodhi & Birch Ylang Ylang Incensa Bath & Shower Therapy mini. A perfect try me, small treat or for holidays. See my review HERE

March Empties

Here's what I've been using up in March (a sunny photo for a change!):

John Masters Organics Rose & Apricot Hair Milk 30ml - this is a staple in my stash and I've just opened another one. See my review HERE.

Pureology Hydrate Conditioner 50ml - lovely to use, loved its minty scent and how soft and moisturised it left my hair. Sure to buy full size at some point.

Dr Bronner's Peppermint 18-in-1 Pure Castle Soap 237ml - love this and it's always in my stash to clean my make up brushes and sometimes the bath! You can even clean your teeth with it (in an emergency). I actually need to stock up on this.

Dr Organic Rose Otto Bath Oil 100ml - this is my dupe for REN's bath oil. Maybe not quite as luxurious but brilliant value for money and rather lovely. Just opened a new one.

REN Moroccan Rose Gold Glow Perfect Dry Oil 100ml* - an absolutely beautiful lightly scented rose oil which moisturises and leaves the skin looking glowy. I'll definitely pick another up again soon. See my review HERE.

Molton Brown Frankincense & Allspice Hand Wash 300ml - I adore this spicy scented handwash. I have a huge stash of these - gifted, bought in the sales and from Latest in Beauty (and hopefully enough to last all year as it's only available at Christmas time) See my review HERE.

Olverum Bath Oil 15ml - is a favourite for a deeply relaxing soak. See my review HERE. I recently bought a mini trio and I am now happy to find them as a Latest in Beauty pick.

Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Oil 10ml - a lovely body oil which I'd used before and now after trying it again will buy.

Organic Surge 2 Minute Moisture Mask 150ml - a beautiful, rich (bakewell tart scented) mask which left the hair looking glossy and healthy. Really impressed with this product and will definitely buy again.

Flower by Kenzo EdP sample vial - this came in Perfume Society's Modern Classics Box (REVIEW). I found I loved that I loved it after thinking I hated it for years! It has notes of Bulgarian Rose, Parma Violet, Vanilla and Musk and is lush. Full size is now on the wishlist!

Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Bath & Shower Oil 3ml - this is one of my favourites. Sure to buy full size at some point.

4160Tuesdays London 1969 EdP 9ml - I actually finished two perfumes this month which is pretty much unheard of! I've already re-purchased this. See my thoughts on it HERE.

Weleda Lavender Creamy Body Wash 20ml - a lightly lavender scented wash which I'd maybe buy full size.

Make Up Forever High Definition Powder 1g - I really enjoyed using this to set my make up. I have since picked up another mini via Love me Beauty and I'd buy full size.

Diptyque Vetyverio EdT 10ml - simply totally fell for this when I friend sent it to me and I've since bought full size. A really beautiful scent with floral notes and vetiver. Slightly woody with rose and floral notes. It's perfection!

AEOS Enriching Spelt Hand Cream 30ml** - which was one of the most luxurious hand creams I've ever used. See my review HERE.

MOA Fortifying Green Bath Potion Single Shot - huge fan of this beautiful bath oil which is perfect when you've got the flu or feeling run down. It's also good to use after exercise as it relieves any aches and pains. See my review HERE. I always have this in my stash.

John Masters Organics 100% Argan Oil sample - this can be used on the face, body and hair. I used it most for smoothing down fly-aways. Would buy full size.

Rosalena Bio-Active Love & Me Face Oil 2ml sample - nice to use but others in the range I prefer. So probably wouldn't buy this one full size. See my review HERE.

What have you been using up this month?
