Latest Buys: Witchy Treats, Hells Bells Homemade Candles, Olfactory Candles, Bodhi & Birch, Miel Botanicals, Sol de Janeiro + Dook

I've not done a latest buys post since 2nd April but I've not stopped spending! I am however from June going to limit myself to a £100 spend each month, which is more than enough for plenty of cheer me up treats!

Through my friend Sam, I discovered Witchy Treats and picked up a selection of wax melts to try. I'm working my way through them - they're lovely with strong scents and pretty colours. Using the code SAM-15% will get you 15% off your 1st order (I also received some pretty awesome free gifts!)

I also picked up 3 melts from Hells Bells Homemade Candles. The Watermelon Daiquiri is deliciously fruity and perfect for summer days.

A little Olfactory Candles order - I was desperate to try the new Little Pots (buy 10 for £10, or £1.20 each). They are the perfect try me size or to take on holiday. The Fresh Coffee Melt Pot (£3 for 50g) smells exactly like freshly brewed rich coffee and is the best coffee scent I've ever tried. I also loved the new scent - Fresh Raspberry & Black Peppercorn so needed more! Remember you can get 15% off your 1st order with SANDRA15 (excluding burners).

I was sorry to see Pure Skin Lab close down but delighted to pick up Bodhi & Birch's exquisite Sicilian Rose Body Oil in the sale for £18!! I reviewed this beauty HERE. Chuffed to bits to have it back in my stash!

I'm always needing something to help me sleep and I've found Miel Botanicals Herbal Sleep Balm to be a miracle cure! (£8.50/£15). A review is coming for this one. It's magic.

I've lusted after Sol de Janeiro's Biggie Biggie Bum Bum Cream 500ml since I saw it in Harvey Nichols one Christmas a few years ago! I got it for a bargain price (normally £72). Feel Unique were offering 15% off and they are one of my brands, so I got 10% off on top, making it £55.08. I also received a mini of their new Bom Dia Bright Cream, a free gift for an order over £50 (Benefit 24-hr brow setter mini worth £12.50) and two free samples.

I also picked up an order locally at Dook, a gorgeous salt soap. I already adore these beauties (REVIEW) and their Hand Cleanser/Sanitiser (review to come). A wee short walk along the prom in the sunshine. Pure bliss. Founder and formulator, Helen is opening a shop locally - can't wait!

May: Lately I've Been Loving

So many May loves..

The gorgeous Dook Luxury Handmade Salt Soaps have to get a mention! I fell head over heels for them this month. See my review HERE.

A new Armchair for me from NEXT.

An amazing lunch at Le Roi Fou one wet and cold Saturday. The food was simply stunning and I can't wait to go back!

The excellent invention of de Mamiel samples - perfect for try me or weekends away. See my review HERE.

Edinburgh Gin's latest invention - full strength Rhubarb & Ginger Gin. Totally delicious and very moreish.

Jo by Jo Loves 50ml which is a very unexpected and lovely gift from my friend Julie. We both have April birthdays but just caught up this month (reviews will be upcoming for all the gorgeous pressies she bought me - I was WELL spoiled!) I'm a huge fan of Pomelo (and Smoked Plum & Leather). This is the scent Jo Malone created for herself. It has notes of Grapefruit, Bitter Orange, Lime, Spearmint, Guaiac Wood, Cedarwood, Vetiver, Hedione and Black Pepper. It's simply stunning!

I jumped for joy to receive an e-copy* of Black Summer by M W Craven (Washington Poe #2) via Netgalley. I fell head over heels for characters Tilly and Poe in the first book in the series, The Puppet Show. So far I'm loving it! (You can pre-order your copy HERE).

What have you been loving this month?

Dook Luxury Handmade Salt Soap

I've had the real pleasure of discovering gorgeous dook luxury handmade soap. I spotted it in a local shop (closed at the time grr) and went straight home and onto the website. Helen, who lives not far from me creates the most glorious hand poured and handcrafted salt soaps which are free from parabens and palm oil, are cruelty free and vegan.

I picked the one which most appealed to me online (and of course I want to try them all now!) Mandarin, Bergamot, Rosemary & Cedar (120g - £8) is an aromatic delight - fruity, herbal and woodsy, the scent of which really lingers on the skin after washing. The soaps are wrapped in recyclable paper and card which is fully biodegradeable (and very stylish).

WOW what a stunning soap!

The larger salt grains give the soaps an artisan boutique-y feel and I think they wouldn't be out of place in shops like Harvey Nichols, SpaceNK or Content Beauty & Wellbeing. Formulated in small batches using organic ingredients, essential oils and natural colours. Each batch is mixed and poured by hand with love and attention to detail. Himalayan Salt is added to the formulation which gives the soaps a scrubby feel, beautiful colour, texture and helps create a long lasting firm bar.

Ingredients include Himalayan Salt - 50% of it's weight and which will detoxify, exfoliate and rejuvenate. Organic Coconut Oil gives the soap it's wonderful lotion-like lather while Raw Organic Shea Butter nourishes and feeds the skin while French Green Clay removes impurities.

The soap is an absolute delight, it gives a rich and creamy lather, has a glorious scent and is a pleasure to use. Have you tried Dook Luxury Handmade Salt Soaps yet? Pick yours up HERE (and if you live locally you can go and pick up your order and enjoy a chat with Helen! Or alternatively, postage is free for orders of £20+).
