Frezyderm Sun Screen Velvet Face SPF50+ & Nourish Golden Glow Toning Body Shimmer

I took Frezyderm's best-selling Sun Screen Velvet Face SPF50+ (50ml - £17.50)* and Nourish's Golden Glow Toning Body Shimmer (100ml - £25)* on holiday this year.

The sunscreen has a light gel texture which is easily absorbed and the skin is left matte (so it's the ideal primer). The Second Skin Technology innovation formula leaves the skin feeling velvety and smooth for at least 6 hours along with SPF50+ protection. The sunscreen is also free from parabens and fragrance. It's a product I'd definitely pack for my next holiday abroad - and perfect if you are getting some winter sun this year!

To use: apply to the skin 20-30 minutes before sun exposure, reapply every two hours and immediately after swimming.

The Golden Glow range is just fantastic and I'm a huge fan of Illuminating Face Shimmer* - see my review HERE*. The body version is as lovely as the face one!

It gives the skin a gentle golden glow (and is perfect with a suntan). Light reflecting particles help to even and smooth the skin and give it a glowy and healthy appearance. Golden resins of frankincense and myrrh combined with phyto-active marine extracts tone and firm. Hyaluronic acid and tripeptides stimulate the production of collagen leaving the skin looking better and more luminous.  It really is a lovely product!

To use: smooth over the skin and gently massage in.

Summer Holidays: Beauty

I ended up taking way too many beauty products with me on holiday (I'll learn though for next year!) I felt especially overloaded after seeing Lynda's holiday picks.

Skincare:

I used the Madara Micellar Water up (it's one of my favourites - see my review HERE) and some of the smaller sizes (which I just threw in the bin rather than bringing them back for an empties post).

Here's the ones I reached for again and again..

Expect reviews of PHB Ethical Beauty's Brightening Eye Gel and 001 Skincare's fabulous Pure Lavender Hydrolat Toner* soon. I loved using both these products on holiday.

Also there is my favourite Skin & Tonic Steam Clean and 001's Exfoliating & Conditioning Cleanser* (review) along with Dahliana's amazing Wildflower Youth Serum* (review).

Bodycare/Suncare:

I was testing out these two products by Nourish* & Frezyderm* over my holidays so expect reviews shortly.

I also took these along..

I used up a few items and acquired some lovely Bramley products at The Pig

My most reached for items were..

Therapie's Himalayan Detox Salts (these are finished but the pot is handy for travel) and my favourite Marble & Milkweed Nourishing Body Oil (review). The little Bloomtown Botanicals sample soaps* were perfect for travel and the Bramley body lotion is lovely. Expect reviews soon.

Haircare:

You know the drill by now..(I took far too much of everything!)

I used up all the sachet samples and my most reached for items were..

Bramley's Shampoo & Conditioner, Swell's Ultimate Protect & Renew Serum*(which came in the recent Naturisimo Hello Gorgeous Hair Discovery Box) and John Masters Organics Sea Mist which I used most days for beachy waves.

Perfume:

And the ones I reached for..(the Eden Portofino one was already in my handbag)

Jo Loves Pomelo (review), 4160Tuesdays London 1969 (mini review), Miller Harris Vetiver Insolent (a new favourite), Creed Virgin Island Water (the perfect summer scent) and Eden Perfumes Portofino which has notes like the Tom Ford version.

Make up:

I did a bit better with make up although I did take a selection of lipsticks and glosses. These were my favourite bits:

Are you able to pack light for holidays?

Hunter & Heath - Frezyderm Revitalising Serum & Clear Zal Silk Foot Food

Hunter & Heath is an online shop created by the team at ZEON Healthcare.  They sell products which may be difficult to find on the High Street.  All the products have been tried & tested and are loved by the team at Hunter & Heath.  The products are selected for their outstanding quality and performance.

I was sent two products to test and review.  The products arrived presented in a silver box with crinkled paper - which makes the products great for gifting.

I was sent a serum* from Frezyderm and a Foot Cream* from ClearZal both brands I'd never heard of previously.

Frezyderm is a Greek brand which promotes healthy looking skin - "Transform yourself into a Greek Goddess".  The range of products have been designed to provide effective hydration through two product ranges - anti-ageing and moisturising.  All products are dermatologically tested and paraben free.

Frezyderm Revitalising Serum is presented in a pump container so it is easy to dispense. You only need a pump or two for your whole face and neck.  The  serum is lightly scented and easy to apply to the skin leaving it hydrated and with a radiant glow.

I have been using the serum for just under a couple of months now either alone or with a bit of moisturiser/night cream on top and my skin is plumped, radiant, smooth, moisturised and looks healthy plus the product is lovely to use.

To use - morning and night on clean skin.  It featured in my December Favourites.

Retails at £35.95 for 30ml.  You can read more about the range here.  You can see the Hunter & Heath website here follow on Twitter @HunterandHeath @Frezyderm_UK

The second product I was sent to test is ClearZal Silk Foot Food which retails at £9.99 for 100g.  This featured in my top products of 2012 which you can see here.

This rich cream is packed full of Aloe Vera, Urea, Rosemary, Lavender, Thyme and Vitamin A.  As it is formulated with Aloe Vera instead of water it helps keep feet moisturised for longer.

I've been using this cream before bed. It has a light scent and is easily absorbed (hubby has been using it too!).  It has made a huge difference to my dry and cracked feet (nice!).  Definitely one of the best foot care products I've ever used.

Have you used either of these products?

December Favourites

These are the products I've been reaching for during December.

BRIXI Bee Balm - love this - you can see my review here.

MOSSGROVE Deodorant - a friend recommended this deodorant to me. Scented with Jasmine and other essential oils it contains little or no parabens or petrochemicals.  It is quite expensive at £4.25 for 70ml - but I won't be without it now! Love the scent and it keeps me fresh all day. I've found it lasts for 3 months so I find it cost effective.

Super Facialist by Una Brennan Rose Radiance Day Cream SPF15 - my dry winter skin is lapping up this moisturising rose scented cream.  Can't wait to try other items in the range. Costs £12.99 for 75ml at Boots.  Also features in the 3 for 2 deals.

Frezyderm Revitalizing Skin Serum - I am testing this anti-ageing serum out at the moment and I am finding it is giving my skin the hydration it needs as well as adding a much needed radiance boost during this winter weather. A Greek brand which is free from parabens.  Full review to follow.

Abahna Aromatherapy Pillow Mist - you will already know my love of this gorgeous British brand. The mist is scented with lavender, neroli and clary sage.  I've been finding it easy to drop off to sleep after misting it lightly over my pillow.

What are your favourites this month?
