November: Lately I've been Loving

The arrival of my Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar. I had lots of stresses regarding delivery and customer services weren't the best.  It is lovely but it will be my one and only online order from Liberty. The calendar itself is beautiful and the contents super luxe. Roll on 1st December!

My Love Me Beauty picks from The #Nightfall Edit included a second Kat Von D lipstick mini (1.2g). I absolutely love the shade magick - so wearable! My other picks were two Caudalie Hand Creams (each 30ml) and Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm (25ml). I also adore that make up bag it's so cute!

Get £21 worth of credit if you use my code SANDR174.

My gin baubles arrived from Pickering's Gin each one is filled with 50ml of gin! Can't wait until I get my Christmas tree! (if they last that long!)

I swithered about getting the recent Cult Goody Bag - buying 3 Christmas presents softened the blow a bit! As ever the goody bag is jam packed full of beautiful things to try.

This book called Reunions by Chris Porsz is one of the most amazing things! He took photos in the 70s, 80s, and 90s in Peterborough and revisits the locations and people and takes the photo again in the current day. It's a must read. Every picture really does tell a story..pick yours up HERE.

I won tickets on a twitter competition to Edinburgh Foodies Festival - thanks again My Little Black Book! We had a great time sampling delicious food and drinks - some things which caught my eye (and tastebuds) - Narcissus FlowersLoch Ness GinMademoiselle Macaron (the rose ones are my favourite!) and Aelder Elixir. Roll on the summer one!

I've been testing out two new perfumes* from Ancienne Ambiance which are absolutely gorgeous - Colonia IX EdP which is a woody oriental and Colonia VIII EdP which is sweet/woody. Expect a full review shortly - I absolutely love both of them.

Recent Buys: Love Me Beauty, YOU Beauty, MOA, Latest in Beauty, Isla Apothecary, Craft Gin Club

Here's my recent purchases:

The last couple of months I've been loving the choices available at Love me Beauty. This month it's "The Enchanted Edit" and you can pick from Make up Forever, benefit, Merumaya and Nuxe.  My selections are above and I'm loving them all! I also like that instead of a box you get your picks in a cute make up bag which is different each month. Use my code SANDR174 to get £21 worth of goodies for free.  The cost of the box is £13.95 a month including P&P.

Another box I recently signed back up for is YOU Beauty Box which is fantastic value for money. I stuck with the original format of 2 items for £6.95 but you can upgrade to 3 or 4 (wish I'd gone for 3 as I love Olverum's bath oil which is a pick).

I chose FOREO's Day Cleanser which is worth £25! I'm looking forward to testing it out with my LUNA.  My second choice was OWAY's Color Protection Hair Bath 50ml which is worth £4.75. It's a brand I've not heard of before so looking forward to trying. The extras this month are Montagne Jennesse Soften Sock and Glove Masques which I'll happily try and a card for £25 off your first Everdine box.

You can also now pick up the fabulous Advent Calendar for £69.95.

I adore MOA's Fortifying Green Bath Potion (review) and you can now pick up 10ml single shots (£2.75 each) from the website. They are perfect for try me, small gifts or stocking fillers! See my spotlight on MOA HERE.

I'm currently obsessed with Latest in Beauty's Build your own box. There are products in there I pick up again and again. Cue Mauli RitualsMolton BrownKneipp and Aurelia Probiotic Skincare. Oh and I also love the Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Night Cream.

This beautiful Blood Orange & Vanilla Scrub (220g - £23) (smells so scrummy) by Isla Apothecary which I bought at Content Beauty & Wellbeing. It has the perfect amount of scrubby-ness and smells good enough to eat. Absolutely love it and want to now try more from the range.

I love stationery and this #boxoflame is just amazing. I especially love the other side of fear card (which is now on my kitchen pinboard!) Pick yours up HERE. There is now a blogger box available! I just went for the small size at £15 which is beautiful.  See my thoughts on the Spring Box of Lame HERE.

This month's Craft Gin Club box arrived on Monday and as usual is jam-packed with beautiful things. This month the gin is by Poetic License and is exclusive to the club - Spiced Orange and Cranberry which is best served with a slice of orange. Also inside is a miniature of their Northern Dry Gin, deliciously moreish Cranberry Snack Yoghurt Cranberries, Cranes Cranberry Cider and a bottle of Sonnet 43 The Raven Bourbon Milk Stout.  Get £10 off your first box with code BEAUTYBALM.

September: Lately I've Been Loving

This sunflower at the Allotment - not mine unfortunately! So pretty and uplifting.

Ouli's Ointment* (50ml - £21) which is a lush multi-purpose balm created by Stephanie who was inspired by her grandmother's use of natural remedies to cure all. The ointment is made with Olive Oil, Beeswax, Chamomile oil and Vitamin E. It moisturises the skin, makes a great eye balm, smoothes and heals chapped lips, tames flyaways and calms cuts and burns. As you'll know I adore a multi-purpose product and this one does it all and has a pleasant floral/herbal scent.

With having internet problems earlier in the month (and a lack of services for nearly 7 days) I'm way behind on my usual posts. My September Craft Gin Club box featured Elephant Gin - including mini bottles of the original gin and sloe gin with a special bigger bottle made exclusively for members. Divine chocolate and delicious ChariTea Red completed the box. Remember you can get a tenner off your first box with BEAUTYBALM.

I picked Kat Von D make up items from Love Me Beauty this month. I also loved that instead of a box we got a pretty make up bag.  You can get £21 worth of credits when you join using SANDR174. The lipstick is such a gorgeous shade (MAGICK) and I also love the packaging. Next month's top choices are by Benefit (so hurry if you want to get the Kat Von D).

I've been loving using these beautiful face oils by Ooh! Oils of Heaven* which you can buy at Love Lula. I'ts been great having a choice every day depending how my skin is feeling. Expect a review soon!

I was recently a tester for a new range of body oils over at Bodhi & Birch - you can see the stunning range available HERE. I've been trying the gorgeous Sicilian Rose* body oil which has an almost serum like texture and the scent is aromatic and rosey. Again, expect a review soon!

This new candle* by Beatitude is simply stunning. It most definitely "comforts" and is scented with mandarin, bergamot, clementine, geranium, lavender and eucalyptus. Expect a full review soon!

I came across Albus & Flora when browsing MyShowcase. They offer tinted (and a clear) lip balms which have a SPF30. They are really luxe with great packaging which is practical but pretty and offer wearable shades. The balms are formulated with alpine rose extract, cranberry, raspberry seed, seaberry, blackcurrant, avocado, grape, jojoba and sunflower oils.  The tinted balm gives the lips a light sheen of colour. Expect a fuller review shortly. I just wanted to sing their praises right now as they are so gorgeous!

Love Me Beauty Box - February

After last month's fabulous box I kept my subscription for Love Me Beauty for February. There weren't any new choices for me but there were still things available I was happy to have in my stash.

Here's what I chose:

I'm a huge fan of the lovely Eye of Horus Eye Liners so I picked up a shade in Bronze Amulet, a sparkly brown which normally costs around £15 (the box is £13.95 including P&P)

I love Therapie so was happy to pick up another Boost Hair & Body Wash 50ml (worth £10) and the gorgeous Restore Aura Spray 30ml (worth £10).

My final item is a mini 15ml of Omnisens Delice Passion Massage Oil (you can buy this range at Love Lula). It has a mouthwatering sweet coconut scent.

Love Me Beauty Box

It's been a while since I have had a Love Me Beauty box. I spotted on Karen's blog that Therapie goodies were included (Ana also flagged it up). Being on spending ban I decided I shouldn't...until I came across a discount code, thanks Mags!

Normally a box costs £13.95 (including P&P) and this entitles you to 60 credits - you can also buy extra credits which I think is great if you see other items you must have that month.

I've been wanting to try Moa's Fortifying Green Bath Potion (100ml - worth £27.50) (20 credits) for ages! It smells minty and herbal and is good to use when you've got the flu as well as soothing aches and pains and de-stressing the mind. Expect a full review shortly.

Therapie's minis -

Cherish Skin Repair Serum (30ml - worth £12) (20 Credits)
Equilibrium Bath & Shower Essence (30ml - worth £10) (10 Credits)
Boost Hair & Body Wash (50ml - worth £10) (10 Credits) (review).

I've used all of these before and loved them so I'm looking forward to using them again. Are you subscribed to Love Me Beauty?

Love Me Beauty Box - October

An unexpected Love Me Beauty beauty box* arrived with me on Friday.  I loved September's box* which you can see here. The box costs £10 a month plus P&P.

Here's the top picks I was sent:

Oriflame Seeing is Believing Eye Cream 15ml (£10.95 - 2 credits) - I'm enjoying using the ecollagen wrinkle correcting eye cream from last months box.  This cream reduces puffiness, softens dark circles and targets fine lines and wrinkles. Looking forward to trying this out.

Percy & Reed Eau My Goodness Shine & Fragrance Spray 50ml (£6 - 1 credit) - A great haircare brand. I've not tried this particular product before.  Rose scented it adds shine and gloss to your hair.

Montagne Jeunesse Hot Spring Sauna Mask (single use £1 - 1 credit) - I really like this brand and the masks are nice to use. This one is self-heating and exfoliating. It opens up the pores for a deep clean. It helps to remove dead skin cells leaving the skin clean, radiant and refreshed.

anatomicals beauty nutter? here's your butter - orange flower and amber body butter 200ml (£4.99 - 2 credits) - this has a nice scent but I wouldn't personally have chosen this product.

What do you think of the choices this month?

Love Me Beauty Box - September

Love Me Beauty have had a total revamp with a brand new website and box*. Instead of three menus to chose from you now receive 6 credits to pick your own products.  First of all you create a beauty profile and products are suggested for you.  But...if there is nothing which takes your fancy you can browse a selection of full sizes and samples.

Full sizes are two credits and samples one.  This means you could get six products in your box each month depending on what you choose. You can also purchase extra products to be included in your box each month if you like!  The subscription box costs £10 plus P&P.

My order came in a drawstring branded "Love Me Beauty" cotton bag which I've earmarked already for cotton wool pads.

Here's what I chose:

Percy & Reed Lovingly Light Foaming Treatment Mask (full size - 150ml - £20)* - this is a mousse hair mask which is great for fine hair types. I'm looking forward to testing it out.  Just simply apply after shampooing from root to tip, leave on 2-5 minutes and rinse.

Malin+Goetz Grapefruit Face Cleanser (sample size - 29ml approx £3)* - huge fan of this fruity cleanser already. See my review here.

Oriflame ecollagen Wrinkle Correcting Eye Cream (full size - 15ml - £16.95)* - I've not tried much from this brand. I love trying new eye creams so expect a review shortly.  A lightweight cream with a rollerball applicator it is enriched with plant stem cell extract to help stimulate collagen product and plump up the area around the eyes.

S5 Renew Serum Fine Lines & Wrinkles (sample size - 10ml - £8.95)* - I've tried other products from the range and loved them. An anti-ageing treatment serum which targets fine lines and wrinkles while plumping the skin.

What do you think of the selection I chose and the new Love Me Beauty Beauty Revolution of selecting your own products each month?

Love Me Beauty Box - August Edition Menu 3

My August Love Me Beauty Box* arrived yesterday. I chose Menu 3 this month.

I was excited to see a Cosmetics a la carte product in the box. I've used some of their skincare products in the past and really liked them.  The Smudge Proof Eyebrow Definer in Blonde is worth £23.  This is more of a brown shade so will suit me. I was a bit worried it was going to be really more for blondes.  You can use it for brows, as an eyeliner and for semi-permanent body art.

Mirabella Lip Luster Liner in Shy (£10.50) - this is a super moisturising lip liner which you can apply all over your lips before applying gloss. Perfect pinky shade which will go with a lot of my lipsticks if I don't wear it on its own. This is a brand I've not heard of before. The liner is lead and paraben free.

Oriflame Swedish Spa Beauty Wonder Oil 150ml (£8.45) - with a gorgeous ginger and floral scent the oil can be used for massage, as a body oil, in the bath or as a pre-shampoo treatment. This is super moisturising and I'm looking forward to using it.

The final item this month is a Mineral Eye Shadow in shade Lucky Penny from Marsk. This is a brand I've only heard of recently.  The eye shadow is full size and worth £14.49 and is a lovely coppery shade.  It is 100% natural and cruelty free.

My July Love Me Beauty Beauty Box* arrived yesterday. I picked Menu 2 this month. Also included is one of my most favourite products...ever..and is not on the menu card - an extra product!

LASHEM Lash Enhancing Serum 2ml sample (full size £40 - 3.5ml) - this serum nourishes, conditions and you can expect longer lashes in two weeks! Apply a thin line of serum at the base of your eyelashes in one gentle continuous stroke. Use once a day. Looking forward to trying this out.

So Susan Flutter Mascara (full size - £14.95) - this is a new product to the So Susan line.  This black mascara is infused with hyaluronic spheres to achieve the darkest and curviest lashes possible.

OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in "Hollywood" (full size - £11.60) a brand I've not heard of before.  A hot pink shade which moisturises and is long lasting.

OFRA Pressed Eyeshadow in "Bliss" (full size - £8.80) - this is from the "Diamonds are Forever" palette collection. Gives a light shimmer of colour. Love the little mirror in the base.

So Susan Dual Brow Powder (full size - £11.95) - create perfectly defined brows with these smudge proof powders.

The Teashed 4am Tea (20 teabags - £3.50) - huge tea fan! This is a white tea which is low in caffeine. You can drink it at 4am and still be able to sleep. Great for the skin too as it contains loads of anti-oxidants.

Box Extra: Full size Weleda Sea Buckthorn Replenishing Body Lotion (200ml - £15.95) - I simply adore this gorgeous body lotion. A fab extra! See my review here.

Love Me Beauty costs £10 plus P&P. Sign up here.

Love Me Beauty Box - June Edition Menu 2

My June Love Me Beauty box* landed on the mat yesterday morning.

I chose menu 2 this month. Also included in the box is a £10 special voucher for Flavourly which is a lovely added extra in the Birthday box and especially for Love Me Beauty customers.

Beauty UK High Brow Kit (£3.99) I was keen to try this little kit as I tend to get my eyebrows waxed or threaded and that's it. So I'm looking forward to giving this a go. It contains 3 shades of powder, a double ended applicator, a colourless wax to keep brow hairs in place and a teeny tiny pair of tweezers.

Model Co Eye Define Pencil in Black (£9) I find I can never have enough eyeliners! Love that this has a built in sharpner. It gives intense long lasting colour. I'm pretty sure I've used one of these before and loved it.

NYX Cosmetics Nail Polish in Compulsive (£3) these are "exotic shades" I'm not a huge polish fan so I'll pass this one on.

Urban Veda Purifying Daily Facial Wash (full size retails at £7.99 the size included in the box is 20ml) I've used this before and really liked it.  I'll be popping this one in my travel bag.  See my review here.

Montagne Jeunesse Hot Springs Sauna Masque (£1) huge fan of these single use masks. This one is self-warming and suitable for a deep cleanse.

I thought the box contents were not as exciting as last month's box which I loved. I am however looking forward to trying the brow kit!

Love Me Beauty Box - May Edition Menu 2

I was really pleased to be sent a May edition of Love Me Beauty box* to review. I chose menu 2 from the three choices. The box costs £10 plus P&P.

And let's see what's inside..

A trial pack from Suti (RRP £6.50) which contains 4ml pots of Cleanse Balm, Purity Balm and Fabulous Foot Balm. I'm a huge fan of Suti.  You can see my review of their foot balm here.

Nail Girls Nail Polish in Nude Pink 10ml (RRP £13.50) this is pretty pink shade and will be perfect for summertime.

Raw Skincare Natural Lip Balm in Ginger 4.5g (£1.98) a super spicy moisturising lip balm which smells like ginger beer.

GO Stationery Pocket Notebook Set in Tulip Garden x 3 notebooks (RRP £5) these little notebooks are perfect for popping in your handbag to write lists and notes on the go.

The final item in the box is three tea bags from Teapigs in Rooibos Creme Caramel flavour (each teabag is worth 65p).  Rich in antioxidants this tea has a sweet and rich flavour.

I think this is a great value box and I love the contents.  Did you chose one of the boxes this month? Or are you tempted?  Sign up here.
