Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box: Autumn Glow

I've only been getting the Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box a few months now and it's definitely my favourite beauty box! This month I've only tried one product before. I'd already heard of three of the other brands and there's one totally new to me too! Costing £21 plus £3.95 P&P a month it really is great value for money (there are also money off codes included for most of the brands).

WOW!

One of the items which I knew was going to be in the box (Paula gives us a few little spoilers in the run up) was the MONO Radiance Facial Oil (20ml - £44) which doesn't disappoint! It smells beautiful and I tried it for the first time last night. The oil is crystal infused and amplified with the high vibrational energy of citrine. Expect a full review soon! There is also a little try me sample of their Radiance Face Cleanser & Mask.

From Poppy's Natural Skincare there is deliciously scented Organic Chia Seed Hand Butter (50ml - £10) which is light as air and absorbs instantly upon contact with warms skin - LOVE!  It has a beautiful neroli scent and I know I'm going to keep reaching for this both in autumn and coming into winter. In fact it might be my new favourite hand product! So lush.

THE WILD MIX has been on my radar for a while but this is my first try (the Regeneration Nourishing Body Balm melts if the central heating is on so I've popped my pot in the fridge for a little while) It does smell beautiful and I'm looking forward to trying it.

I've also been aware of XO Balm (45ml - £12.50) which soothes and nourishes the skin. It can be used on the face, body and hair to moisturise and protect. Again, looking forward to testing it out.

The final item this month is one I've tried before Southsea Bathing Hut's Botanical Facial Steam (8g - £5.00).

What do you think of the contents this month?

Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box: September - Revive

I reviewed the Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box* for August. It's theme was Self Care - see my review HERE. As I thought the box was so good I quickly signed up! The box costs £21 plus £3.95 p&p. Some of the brands included in the box also offer money off codes which is always welcome!

September's theme is Revive and here's what's inside:

Eeek! Again this month there are three new to me brands!

First up is the fabulous looking Alexa Sky Botanicals Cactus Fruit Eye Serum (10ml - £23) which helps with dark circles, puffiness and fine lines. I'm looking forward to trying this! (expect a review in a few weeks).

From JUN-i there is a Hair Oil (£14.99) which is exclusive to Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box and can be used as a deep hair treatment overnight. Again, can't wait to try!

The final new to me brand this month is from Lilian Jones and is a Lavender Shampoo Bar which is free from SLS and SLES. It's worth £3.

I'm a huge fan of Blue Labelle and nestled inside the box is their Light & Balancing Facial Oil (30ml - £16.50) which I've tried before. See my review HERE.

I just love Awake Organics. Their Aura Clean Deodorant travel size (£3.99) is one of the best I've used. See my review HERE. This one's getting popped in my travel bag.

The final item in the box is from Nathalie Bond Organics and is their Organic Rose & Patchouli Bath Salts (60ml - £7.99) which I have also tried before (I found a little nearly empty jar lurking in the back of the cupboard which I received in a beauty box a while ago). It's really beautiful and I'm going to enjoy re-visiting.

It's a fabulous box again this month. Did you pick one up? What are your thoughts on the contents?

August: Lately I've Been Loving

So many August loves..

A little bee spotted feasting on this sunflower at the allotment #simplepleasures

I bought these gorgeous melts from The Botanical Candle Company which smell divine! I picked their mix & match pack which contains 2 each of the whole range - Seville with dried orange & lemon peel, Darjeeling & Tea Rose with black tea and rose petals, Almond Grove with roasted almonds, Lavender with dried Yorkshire lavender and Laundry Day with dried Cornflower petals.

The incredible Skin Organics Beauty Box - August's theme was Self Care* and the box contained 3 new to me brands (how exciting). See my initial thoughts HERE.

This amazing new skincare duo** from Lucky Cloud which is available at Love Lula - see my review HERE.

Last week I went to the final #WritersOnTheFringe at Blackwells, Edinburgh. It was great to meet Sara again and pick up a book of a new to me author, Mason Cross. I do love a signed book!

After Foodies Festival we went down to the pond at Inverleith Park and met these friendly pigeons!

We had a few days holiday in beautiful Fife and enjoyed eating and drinking!

We had some amazing cocktails at The Adamson in St Andrews - my colleague Peter had recommended the Zombie! (delicious).

Halibut - Spiced Israeli Couscous - Goats Cheese - Spinach
Rose Infused Panna Cotta - Sorbet - Meringue - Summer Fruits

We had lunch at Craig Millar @ 16 West End in St Monans which was delicious! Highly recommend. I especially loved the amazing bread and the divine rose pannacotta!

While in St Monans I picked up a couple of locally made products - which featured in my recent post HERE.

Dinner at The Cellar in Anstruther was amazing! Here are some of the courses we enjoyed (yes, and that bread was delicious!)

Rabbit Leg - Pea Mousse - Tomato Jam

Local Crab - Black Garlic - Courgette - Almond Foam

Cured and Torched Mackerel - Pickled Cucumber - Dill - Yoghurt

Heritage Tomato - Chive Oil - Aged Beef Fat Dressing - Goats Crowdie

Shopping my Stash #91

Here's what I've been reaching for:

Fabulous new to me brand help me organics (I received their "help me it's way past my bedtime" Room Spray) in the brilliant Skin Organics Beauty Box see my thoughts on the August Self Care Box* HERE. The spray contains melissa, lavender, eucalyptus and ginger in a witch hazel base. It calms and destresses and is great to use before bed for a restful and peaceful night's sleep.

From John Masters Organics is something I always have in my stash - their fabulous Rose & Apricot Hair Milk which I reviewed HERE.

I recently tried some try me sizes from OKKO which I loved. I've been enjoying their delicious coconut & lime lip balm which is available at Love Lula.  The balm is super moisturising and smells delicious. My only bug-bear is that you have to be careful not to push the balm up too much (as it won't go back down again!) I do however love the recyclable packaging.

This new lipstick (South Pacific Coral) from Antipodes is absolutely gorgeous! The colour is a beautiful long lasting coral shade. It deeply nourishes the lips and the shade is perfect for summer and coming into autumn. I can't wait to pick up some more!

I love the range of perfumes from Balm Balm. Rose Geranium is a sweet rosey scent which can be worn alone or layered with a mixture of the others from the range.

I just adore calm-inducing Isla Apothecary Reset Ritual Pulse Point Therapy* (10ml - £12)** which helps to reset "thought patterns that no longer serve you, clear stagnant energy and introduce calm".

It's a blend of Roman chamomile, eucalyptus and lavender and is great to use to de-stress and clear muddled thoughts. It's also great to bring relief to hayfever, itchy eyes, sneezing, congested sinuses, headaches and drowsiness. It helps me when I'm needing a helping hand with things like travelling or for a moment of calm.

What have you been reaching for lately?

Skin Organics Beauty Box: August: Self Care

When founder, Paula got in touch and asked if I'd like to review August's Skin Organics Beauty BoxI jumped at the chance!

The box had been on my radar for a while as I know fellow beauty lovers like The Beauty Bank and the40somethingbeautyaddict are fans.

I felt like a kid in a sweetie shop when I opened up the box and discovered two totally new to me brands and a brand I'd heard of but not tried anything from before.

August's theme is Self Care and inside are five organic and 100% natural beauty treats. Inside each box is a mixture of full and travel sized skincare, bodycare and beauty products. Subscribe for £21 plus £3.95 P&P a month, 3 month pre-pay £60 plus P&P or 6 months pre-pay at £114 plus P&P - see more info HERE.

WOW!

The three new to me brands are -

Pure Purposehelpmeorganics and Guiltless Skin (which I was aware of but hadn't tried any of their products before). This is the kind of beauty box I'm after as new brands always excite me! I'll do fuller reviews of the products once I've had the chance to test them out.

From Pure Purpose there is a Turmeric & Orange Coffee Body Scrub & Mask 40g (RRP £4.90). I'm a huge fan of coffee scrubs so looking forward to testing this out.

From Corinne Taylor there are Balance Himalayan Bath Salts 70g (RRP £4.95). I've tried the Recharge salts before and loved them. Balance is scented with Rose Geranium, Cypress and Clary Sage.

Isla Apothecary's Reset Ritual Pulse Point Therapy 10ml (RRP £12) has been on the wishlist a while. Everything I've tried so far from the brand I've loved. An organic infusion of Roman Chamomile, Eucalyptus and Lavender calms and helps with stress and anxiety as well as helping to clarify muddled thoughts.

From new to me brand helpmeorganics there is a room spray "Help me, it's way past my bedtime" 40ml (RRP £6.50) which helps to relax and calm before bed (I love the quirky name and look of the product). It contains melissa, lavender, eucalyptus and ginger essential oils.

The final item is from Guiltless Skin (a brand I've heard of) Organic Face Oil with Moringa, Rosehip & Argan Oil 30ml (RRP £18) which I'm looking forward to testing out.

There are also discount codes to use with each product - which is a lovely added extra. Do you subscribe to the Skin Organics Beauty Box?
