Love Lula: Walden Natural Perfumes: Two Eternities EdP 50ml

I've been testing out two* of the new Walden Natural Perfumes (EdP 50ml) which are exclusive to Love Lula and are named after Henry David Thoreau's seminal work Walden, a book which is part meditation and part handbook for simple living in natural surroundings.

The perfumes are packaged in white and black boxes and have a quote on the side from the book which inspired the scents. On Two Eternities (50ml - £60)* it says "In any weather, at any hour of the day or night, I have been anxious to improve the nick of time, and notch it on my stick too; to stand on the meeting of two eternities, the past and future, which is precisely the present moment; to toe that line".

The bottles are simply gorgeous. Chunky glass with a wooden lid - perfect to display on your dressing table and definitely too pretty to store out of sight. The perfumes themselves are made in small batches with the finest natural absolutes, resins and essential oils.

As I'd been an early tester I was invited to pick two perfumes* to try and review. After much deliberations I picked the two which spoke to me the most (although now having tried sample vials of all five could quite easily say I'd happily have all of them in my collection). A Little Star-Dust* was a finalist recently for Best Natural Beauty Product in the Natural & Organic Awards Europe 2017 (review to follow).

Today I'm sharing my thoughts on Two Eternities* which I immediately thought sounded exquisite. It has notes of forest flowers including wild roses, jasmine and iris with a base of bergamot and sweet orange oil.

The perfume opens with bright, zesty and sweet notes before becoming deeply floral with sensual jasmine, rose and iris. Citrus notes appear again in the base notes. I absolutely love the scent but I wish it was a little longer lasting.

The 5 perfumes are named after snippets from Walden:

A Little Star-Dust: Ylang Ylang, Iris & Jasmine with Amyris & Tonka Bean
A Different Drummer: Pepper, Cedarwood, Amber, Amyris & Sandalwood
Castles in the Air: Citrus, Tropical Flowers and Lavender
The Solid Earth: Petitgrain, Vetiver, Patchouli Oil & Amyris
Two Eternities: Wild Roses, Jasmine, Iris, Bergamot & Sweet Orange Oil

  2. I see the word 'wild roses..." and that's what I would have picked too. Sounds delightful but fleeting. Guess it's one that you know you'll use up.

  3. These look gorgeous. I like a citrusy perfume. What would be the best one for that? Castles in the Air?

    1. None are really citrussy. If you want something really citrus I'd suggest Weleda's Agrume Jardin de Vie but both Castles in the Air and Two Eternities have citrus notes in them.
