Love Lula Beauty Box - May 2015

I was missing my monthly boxes so...I signed back up to Love Lula after seeing the great April box on Berry's Beauty.

The first thing that jumped out at me was John Masters Organics Orange & Ginseng Exfoliating Body Bar (£7 - full size). It exfoliates as well as cleans the skin. Looking forward to trying it out in my morning shower!

Onto the rest! Figs & Rouge Rambling Rose Balm (£5 - full size) I'm always a sucker for balms and rose scents so this one's also a winner! A multi-purpose balm to use on lips, body and face (I'll also use it on flyaways).

Salcura Skin Repair Moisturiser (£9.99 50ml size) I've tried several items from this brand before and have been pleased with their performance. This cream is great to soothe dry, inflamed and irritated skin.

REN V-Cense Youth Vitality Cream 15ml (worth £8.40) - this is a decent travel size. It helps to "banish urban grey and combat signs of fatigue". Helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

And a cute little tin of TEATOX Skinny Detox Loose Leaf Tea and a code for 20% off the brands in this month's box.

I'm know I'll use everything in the box which is the sign of a good box! Did you get it this month? What are your thoughts?

Salcura Skincare

I was sent a selection of Salcura* products to try and review and I can honestly say I'm really impressed.

Salcura products were originally developed for factory workers handling chemicals to treat skin problems.  Further research and improvements followed and in 2002 Salcura was founded.

You can buy products online, in Boots, Independent Chemists and Natural Health shops.

Products are free from parabens, paraffin, cortisones and peroxides.  Pure naturally active ingredients are used. There is no animal testing, products are gluten free, dermatologically tested and suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians.

The packaging is functional and not really very pretty but it's what is inside that counts!

Salcura Hand Wash (£8.49 - 225ml)* - this is an Omega rich wash which contains Sea Buckthorn Oil.  It nourishes, heals, cleans, repairs and moisturises the hands.  It is suitable for all skin types and is really pleasant to use.

Salcura Bath Oil (£13.99 - 200ml)* - a multi-use product - use it in your bath or as a body oil. Super nourishing it makes bath time a real pleasure. Packed full of Omega 3, 6, 7 and 9 it deeply moisturises and calms itchy skin. I'm suffering quite dry skin on my body at the moment and this bath oil is my hero!

Salcura Body Hydrator (£13.99 - 200ml)* - it absorbs quickly leaving the skin feeling comfortable, rejuvenated, calmed, deeply nourished and soothed. This is suitable for mild to moderate dry skin. I've been enjoying using it.

Each Season Salcura bring out a hand cream. The Winter Skin Warming Hand Cream (full size - £12.99 - 85ml) is lovely. I was sent a 10ml sample tin*. The cream is rich in Soya Bean Oil, Wheatgerm Oil, Coconut Oil with Ginger Oil and Vitamin E.  It has a real spicy and warming scent.  Absorbing instantly it nourishes and hydrates dry winter skin and helps fight signs of ageing.

I'm now a huge fan of this fab brand and definitely want to try more from the range. Have you used Salcura before? What's your favourite product?

Shopping My Stash #61

Sorry for no blog post yesterday my laptop is sick! I'm taking it in for repair this morning first thing! Hubby let me borrow his for a while yesterday.

This week I've been reaching for..

Studio 10 Long Lasting Velvet Liquid Lips in Tearose - this full size came in a Cult Beauty GWP. This is demi-matt, long lasting, moisturising and not sticky! The shade is really pretty too and one I'd have picked.

Sunday Riley Start Over Active Eye Cream 10ml - this came in the same goody bag from Cult Beauty. I initially found it a bit drying around the eyes especially under the eye but on persevering with it I've found it is great for reducing dark circles and brightens the under eye area. It has more of a gel texture than a cream.

Onnen Organic Coconut Oil Glycerine Face Cleanser Unperfumed 100ml* - this is an unscented face cleanser which is hand made in small batches in Wales.  I usually favour scented face washes but this is really lovely to use and very gentle on the skin.

Therapie Himalayan Detox Salts 400g - this is a staple for me as it just works. See my review here.  I always have these in my stash.

Salcura Hand Hydrator 75ml - this hand cream came in December's Love Lula Beauty Box. It is perfect for dry winter skin and I use it every night before bed.  It deeply nourishes the hands and nails and absorbs quickly.

Vinali Body Lotion 25ml - this came in January's Love Lula box. It was nice to see a new to me brand in the box. It is made with Organic Grape Extract. A light lotion which absorbs quickly and smells nice.

What have you been reaching for lately?
