Vertue Beauty Box: April: Vitamin Sea

April's Vertue Beauty Box is absolutely fantastic! The theme is "Vitamin Sea". The box is bi-monthly so the next one will be in June. Find out more information HERE. I was very kindly sent a box* to review this month and was delighted with the contents. So what's inside...

WOW! Amazing and there are 2 new to me brands (happy face) and all new to me products.

There are two products from new to me brand Seatox. The products inside are their Selkie Smooth Seaweed Bath Soak (£6.95) and Kelp Help Wild Kelp Powder (£8.95). I'm looking forward to testing these out and reviews will follow.

From American brand, Earth Harbor we have their Rose Ruby Gemstone Face Mist 60ml (approx £14.50) which is very exciting as the brand looks just like something I'd go for. Again, a review will follow.

From Pacifica there is a really lovely eyeshadow palette (Mystical) (£15.49) (I don't think I've ever had a palette in a beauty box). The shades are really wearable and I'm looking forward to testing it out.

The final two items are a Hydrea Fina Silk Sea Sponge which is great for facial cleansing and gentle exfoliation or for applying foundation. I used to buy these sponges on holiday in Greece so looking forward to re-visiting!

From The Salt Parlour is a tin of their DETOX Salt & Sulphur Scrub (try me size). I've used this brand before and love their products. The final treat is 20% off code to use in the Vertue Beauty shop.

What do you think of April's box? Are you already a subscriber?

Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box - March - REBALANCE

It's always an exciting day when my Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box lands! This month the theme is #REBALANCE. As ever, there are a selection of money off codes from some of the brands in the box (which is a great added extra especially if you fall in love with something and want to buy full size!)

So what's inside?

I've tried a different salt & sulphur scrub from The Salt Parlour previously which featured in my May Loves. Inside the box is a mini tin of Rose & Shea Butter CALM Salt & Sulphur Scrub which is worth £5.90. It's a mix of Dead Sea Salt, Pink Himalayan Salt, dried organic Rose petals and Rose Oil (and smells glorious). I love the quirky re-usable packaging and I'm looking forward to testing it out.

I follow NorthburN on twitter but haven't tried any of their products..until now! I'm looking forward to a soak in their Revive - Orange, Lavender & Palmarosa Luxury Bathing Salts (£4). The blend won a Beauty Shortlist Award in 2017. The salts will revive you and give you a boost. Bring it on!

I've been aware of Apothaka but until now not tried anything from the brand. I love the extra touch that all subscribers will receive an email from the founder with a personal consultation on how best to use the face oil - how nice is that! (and also the handwritten card is so nice). Inside the box is a 10ml of their Rejuvenating Face Oil for normal/combination skins (worth £19.50). I'm really looking forward to trying this and a full review will follow (and this is another Beauty Shortlist Award Winner in 2017).

The final two items in the box I've tried before. We've got recently launched Beauty Kubes Shampoo for Normal to Dry Hair (sample pack worth £1) which I reviewed HERE and highly recommend and from nknaturals their delicate healing cleansing balm 30ml (£15) which I reviewed HERE.

As ever, it's a great box! Sign up to April's box HERE. Remember if you are tempted you can get 10% off your first box with BEAUTYBALM10

May: Lately I've Been Loving

Here are my May loves:

We had a night away in North Berwick last week. It's one of my favourite get-away places. It just calms my soul and makes me happy. Being sunny was a lovely added bonus!

These Pip & Nut Squeeze packs are great for some nutty goodness on the go!

I first spotted The Salt Parlour on Instagram and this Energising Lime & Avocado Salt & Sulphur Scrub is gorgeous! It deeply exfoliates the skin and smells delicious. I also love the simple but pretty packaging.

I love Estonian brand, JOIK. See my review of these salts* HERE. They make for a great soak and are great value at £6.00.

Latest Launch at Love Lula is Walden Natural Perfumes. I've been testing out two of them. You can see my thoughts on Two Eternities EdP* HEREA Little Star-Dust EdP* is a heady blend of Ylang Ylang, Iris, Jasmine, Amyris and Tonka Bean. It is a beautiful rich floral which is very long lasting and was a finalist for Best Natural Beauty Product in the Natural & Organic Awards Europe 2017.

This Rose Oud Soy Wax Candle** by [M] Botanicals is simply exquisite. See my review HERE.

Phyto Botanicals have recently re-branded and are now called Vetivert & Co. I've been testing out two of their products which are gorgeous. Lumina Nourishing Facial Oil (£35 - 30ml)** is a beautiful blend of Geranium, Ylang Ylang, Sweet Orange & Ginger with a base of Rosehip, Squalane, Jojoba & Safflower oils. It absorbs easily and quickly and is suitable for dry to combination skins. The deep cleansing beauty balm (£25 - 50g)** can be used as a cleansing balm or moisturiser and contains ingredients which brighten and nourish the skin.

I've been enjoying paperbacks again and here are some in my TBR pile!

What have you been loving in May?
