Be Botanical Skincare

I spotted Lynn's lovely range of skincare, Be Botanical in the window of Cahoots in Portobello and went in to investigate! I selected two items and Kelly from Love Books Group Blog passed on some others she'd received directly from Lynn at a Vegan Festival which was really kind (but she felt they didn't really fit in with her blog so passed them to me!)

Lynn handcrafts her ethical, organic and Vegan range in Leith from raw materials and plant sources - vegetable oils, waxes, fats, essential oils and herbs. She's been making products since her teens for herself and her family and has been selling to the public for about a year at market stalls and select shops. You can also buy from Etsy.

The products are great value and I picked up a 15ml size of Naturally Rehydrate Me Facial Moisturiser with Orange, Geranium, Lavender & Benzoin (£4.50) which is a great price and size - perfect try me/for holidays or even a stocking filler! It's made with Organic Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil and organic essential oils. It absorbs quickly, deeply nourishing, firming and toning the skin, plumping out lines and wrinkles.

The second item I chose is Luxurious Organic Lavender & Helichrysum Organic Hand & Foot Milk 30ml (£10) and although I wanted to like it found it far too runny (almost like water in consistency rather than a milk). It is nourishing and smells gorgeous but is a bit of a faff to use.

Kelly passed me on the follow items (the baby range I've still to forward to Ana, another blogger who is going to review them).

It was nice to try another moisturiser from the range this time with Mandarin, Sandalwood, Neroli & Jasmine 50ml (£10.50) which hydrates and smoothes. The essential oils of Neroli & Jasmine can help to lessen thread veins.

Have you tried any products from Be Botanical?
