Veggie growing

Off topic - but wanted to share some exciting news!  I am going to get a plot for growing veggies.  I had a garden share until recently and there is nothing more amazing as growing your own.

As you can see from the photos we still have loads of work to do!  Although there were 5ft high nettles, brambles and weeds here previously (I should have taken a before picture from the previous Sunday - I kept getting stung by nettles which was horrible!)

We are meeting up on Wednesday night to find out which plot we are getting.  I am hoping to get a half plot.

This gives me an excuse to stock up on hand creams for dry hands and bath oils, for aching muscles ;-).  Reviews will follow... x

  1. Oh I am really jealous! I only have a measly balcony with space for about 2 growbags! I miss having a garden x x

  3. That looks great! I have a teeny balcony (it's about the size of a bath matt - no joke) but luckily we have a communal garden as well. I staked myself out a plot earlier this year and grew quite a few veggies over the summer - all the little girls who live in the flats came to help me and I'm now know as "The Gardening Lady"! Bet you're looking forward to veggies next year! x

  4. @TheBristolBeautyBlog, I'd done not quite a season last year and I'd really got the gardening bug, really amazing growing your own as you will know! Plus its 2 mins from the flat! x

  5. Yay! Growing you on veg is so much fun I used to help my uncle in his garden as a child :) It's so much fun and the food you make with the veg taste way better Xx
