Who knew? This week (1-8 November) is Marzipan Week. Niederegger which is available to buy at Chocolates Direct sent me the latest launch - Marzipan Christmas Hamper (£25)* to test out. The products are made in Lubeck in Germany and is the world's finest marzipan.
Made with 58% aromatic Mediterranean almonds and a closely guarded recipe which has been handed down over the generations. The range is formulated with the highest quality natural raw ingredients (and is delicious).

I haven't had the chance to try everything yet but the selection in the hamper is delicious and very moreish:
1 x 110g Classic Dark Chocolate covered Marzipan Bar - marzipan enrobed in classic dark chocolate
1 x 100g Assorted mini Marzipan Loaves - these are delicious mini treats flavoured with Pistachio, Orange, Pineapple & Espresso and covered in dark chocolate (yum)
2 x 40g Chocolate covered marzipan sticks (Amarena Cherry, Walnut) - luxe treat sticks which are the perfect size to sit down and enjoy with a coffee.
