Soap Folk: The Soap Box

I came across Soap Folk online and instantly knew I wanted to try their lovely handcrafted soaps which are made with love, care and attention to detail (I'm a huge, huge bar of soap fan). The soaps actually started life as ones to be shared among friends and family before founder, Fiona decided to launch Soap Folk, a small independent artisan company based in the UK.

Of course I wanted to try them all so chose The Soap Box (£20 plus p&p). It's just perfect for gifting (if you can bear to give it away, that is!)

Inside the illustrated kraft box which comes with a cotton ribbon and label tag are four natural soaps which are wrapped in super pretty wrap designed by Susie Hetherington to illustrate the simple beauty in the natural world. The soaps are palm oil free and made using traditional cold process method.

The first one I've opened is Rose Geranium which smells glorious. Shea Butter and Sweet Almond Oil nourish while French Pink Clay adds a slight touch of exfoliation. The sweet lush floral rose geranium scent acts as a pick me up, softening the skin and nourishing both the body and mind.

Lavender & Oatmilk is calming and comforting with a gentle Lavender scent (it feels like a warm cozy blanket). Oatmilk gives the soap a rich and creamy feel which softens, moisturises and calms. Lavender, relaxes and helps to ease tension. The butterfly on the wrapper is an Adonis Blue, one of the rarest butterflies in England.

Peppermint is cooling and refreshing (great to use on holiday, during the summer months, in the kitchen or for combination skins). It's formulated with skin softening Green Clay, soothing Avocado oil along with Peppermint and Rosemary essential oils. Fiona says it's a good soap for all members of the family. In the summer mint develops mauve flowers which are depicted on the wrapper - which the bees love.

Best Selling Milk & Honey is unscented for sensitive skins. Goats Milk, Honey and Ground Oats give it a gentle creamy scent. The wrapper depicts bees, flowers and honey.

If you are going to Natural & Organic Products Europe (NOPE) on 22nd and 23rd April catch them on at stand E4D (and look out for some exciting news later today on Twitter and Instagram).

Which soap would you choose or would you have to have all four like me?
