The Tru Brand - liftonic toning treatment

I first met SaraJane Lynch at the launch of Appointed.com. She is lovely, bubbly, friendly and truly passionate about her new skincare launch the tru brand (launching this Autumn).

She has suffered from eczema most of her life and has found it hard to find the type of skincare she is looking for - luxury, high end, with appealing scents and which care for and protect the skin.

PR sample - packaging will be black on launch

SaraJane studied beauty therapy at Mary Reid International Spa Academy in Edinburgh before going on to Napier University to take a degree in Business with Entrepreneurship.  While preparing her dissertation she had her "light bulb moment" to create a luxury skincare brand for people with "high maintenance" skin.  She is hoping her range will be stocked at retailers such as Harvey Nichols, Selfridges and SpaceNK.

SaraJane received £5,000 from Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust and used this to pay for the formulation of the range by a cosmetologist.

The products being launched this Autumn are Cleanser (£25), Toning Treatment (£28) and Facial Moisturiser (£42).  A further eight products will be launched over the next year - "believable skincare for unbelievable skin - Tru is here for you. Believe".

SaraJane very kindly sent me the Tru Liftonic Toning Treatment* (50ml - £28) to try and review.

It contains Orange Blossom Water which calms and soothes, Liftonin which helps with skin ageing, D-Panthenol which is used to treat dermatological conditions, Comfrey Glycerol which soothes, moisturises and rejuvenates the skin, Petigrain Oil which helps clearing the skin and fighting blemishes and Green Mandarin Oil which is great for toning.

The mist can be sprayed directly onto the face and neck or applied to a cotton pad before gently wiping over the face.

It is fruity and refreshing and a great wake up call when lightly misted on the skin in the morning. Suitable for all skin types.

My skin is loving its zesty scent and how refreshing it is to use. The toning treatment also feels really moisturising on the skin.

  1. This sounds right up my street! I've recently started getting eczema on my hands & feet so I've been looking for natural products that won't flare it up!
