Blossom & May is a family run company based in West Sussex which offer a range of handmade and natural beauty products which contain local honey and beeswax.
Founder, Janet Carter made her first pot of balm some 46 years ago when she couldn't find products suitable for her sensitive skin. She gave some of the balm to friends and neighbours who loved it. This prompted her to set up her own business making skincare products - a business which she sold after trading for 25 years.
She found that people still wanted to use her products so she came out of retirement and started making products in her farmhouse kitchen - selling at Craft Fairs and Farmers Markets.
In 2012, with her grandson James they repackaged the products and launched as Blossom & May.
Deep Cleanser (50ml - £8.50)* - a rich balm scented with lavender which removes all make up (including waterproof mascara) and daily grime easily. Apply to the skin massaging into the skin and remove with a warmed damp muslin cloth. This is really nice to use and makes for a great evening ritual. Suitable for use around the eyes and for sensitive skins. Contains Sussex Beeswax and Almond Oil. This is my favourite product and one which I'd purchase. Great value too as a pot lasts for ages.
Honey & Calendula Moisturiser (50ml - £8.50)* - a heavenly scented light and fluffy moisturiser which absorbs quickly into the skin. Apply to cleansed face and neck morning and night. Honey and beeswax moisturise while calendula soothes.
Skin Balm (50ml - £8.50)* - a rich multi-purpose treatment for face, neck, hands (great for elbows, knees and feet too!) Contains beeswax and lanolin and is lightly scented with lavender. It treats, calms and nourishes dry and irritated skin.
