After chatting on Twitter Marie Veronique Organics very kindly sent me some of their products to try all the way from San Francisco. The company will also ship to the UK.
Marie Veronique Nadeau founded MVO over 10 years ago. A nationally recognised formulator and beauty expert she collaborates with her daughter, Jay Nadeau, a Physicist and Biochemical Medical Engineer to choose each ingredient. Marie Veronique holds a BS in Math & Chemistry and an Esthetics Licence.
Products are made using both deep scientific understanding of the ageing process as well as natural organic fair trade ingredients. Packaging is 100% recyclable and ingredients are sourced as near to Mill Valley Headquarters as possible to keep their carbon footprint small.
No toxic preservatives, fragrances, detergents, alcohol or parabens are used.
Here's what I was sent:
MVO Exfoliating Cleanser* - suitable for normal, oily, sun damaged and ageing skin. Combines hydroxy acids with with a gentle polishing scrub (Adzuki Bean powder). The cleanser smells of lavender and is gentle on the skin. Shake before use and massage onto wet skin then rinse. Leaves the skin smooth, fresh and clean.
MVO Mist* - as you age your skin looses moisture making wrinkles more visible. This light, nutrient rich mist helps to increase elasticity and firmness. Contains no alcohol or artificial fragrances. Brightens the skin and adds moisture. Shake well and mist onto the face and neck. This is one of my favourites!
MVO Face Oil* - this oil is packed full of ingredients which moisturise, nourish, improve elasticity and repair the skin. Penetrating the top layer of the skin, protecting and moisturising. Massage a few drops onto face, neck and chest after cleansing and misting.
MVO Everyday Coverage SPF30* - I was sent two tints - light and medium - it protects against UVA and UVB rays with non-nano zinc oxide. This tinted sunscreen is fantastic - it give a light coverage and makes your skin look healthy and smooth.
Have you used any of these products before? What are your thoughts?
