Happy New Year!

Wishing you a Happy New Year and very best wishes for 2013!

I am starting a 100 day spending ban with Jo from Beauty and the Books and Katie from KatieKat's Beauty Spot on 15 January. We'll need lots of luck!  Sam at Honey Go Lightly and Grace at All that Slap have already started their's!

I was inspired by Sophia at Tattooed Tea Lady and Helen at Beautifully Superfluous who both took the challenge in 2012.

I am allowing myself some beauty items - Joliebox (2 months left of my sub), Amarya and Latest in Beauty (if I fancy the box) - otherwise I'd go mad!  Essentials are also allowed but no other extras.

  2. It's so easy to keep stockpiling products without realising isn't it, I will be joing you for the month of January I had some good deals in the sales including £10 off Pai but now it's time to use up some products. Happy new year. xxx

  3. I'm starting today - with the added motivation of popping £1 per empty in a pot. This will then be my only spending allowed on essentials so I'll really need to think 'Do I need this or just want it?'. Good luck all!! x

  5. Happy New Year! I really like the idea of the 100 day spending ban. My only real resolution this year is to save some more of the old pennies as we would ideally like to move house in a couple of years and we'll need all the money we can lay out little mitts on! I shall be backing you all the way on your 100 day challenge!

  8. Happy New Year Sandra ! ahh the spending ban, so tempting... but 2013 lines are coming up and I'm just pathetically weak... maybe I'll be stronger in 2014 :) I wish you luck with your resolution :)

    1. Thanks Lucy. I'm not sure I will be particularly good at it and probably grumpy but I've got so much stuff of all kinds to use up and I'm hoping it makes me think twice in future before spending x

  10. A spending ban eh? I found the easiest path to budgetary restraint is the simple fact I have no money to spare. LOL!

    Happy New Year Sandra!
