2013 Book Challenge

I set myself a challenge of reading four books a month last January and you can see my results here - some months were better than others!

I'm setting myself the challenge again this year.  I know Jo @ Beauty and the Books is also taking up the challenge this year.  She's also my 100 Day Spending Ban buddy!

Here are some of the books I'm planning on reading this year:

Friday's Makes, Bakes & Learns will be back next week - I took a holiday!

  1. I got the Hunger Games for Christmas, I'm looking forward to reading them! I usually read on average 2 books a month which is actually a lot more than most people, so I think it's not too bad :) x

  2. The Hunger Games is amazing, couldn't stop reading it, read the whole thing in a weekends. Good luck with your challenge, I am aiming for a less impressive one a month. Plus trying a new thing out everyday. Looking forward to makes, bakes and learns coming back though x

  5. You're off to a great start with so many books lined up! If you like The Hunger Games, you might like the Divergent series by Veronica Roth too. The style and setting is similar.

  6. I should totally do this. I'm ashamed to say I haven't read a book for a very long time. The only time I do is when I'm on holiday... I get so distracted, I spend any spare time reading blogs...there's not enough hours in the day!

  8. Oh those books look fab! Looking forward to your reviews, the only book I have read from that pic is the Diane Chamberlain one.

I got the hunger games books for my birthday but haven't got round to reading them yet.

Hopefully the 100 day spending ban gives us more time to read ;)

  10. Great challenge! I love reading, but I seem to be reading more blogs than books at the moment! The Hunger Games is fab. Can't wait to see how you get on with them all Sandra. I take it you will have to beg, borrow or steal these books as you are on your 100 day ban or had you stockpiled them already ;)

  13. Looks a great selection. I've read other books by a few of the authors you've got there, Adriana Trigiani and Lisa Jewell. A good way to take your mind off the spending and onto a bit of page turning. x
