Flavrbox Review

The guys at Flavrbox contacted me to ask if I'd like to try a complimentary Tasting Box*.  As a lover of food I jumped at the chance and my box arrived yesterday.

It's packed full of goodies!  Included is a welcome letter from the team which is a nice touch and there is also a informative leaflet about the producers of the products in the box.

The box costs £20 a month including P&P and you can cancel at any time or you can subscribe for 6 months at the cost of £18 a month saving 10% or subscribe for the whole year at £16 a month saving 20%.

I love the surprise element and the fact that everything is carefully chosen from UK producers.  I've not tried any of the products included in the box this month.

I am excited to see Bacon Jam included in the box.  I've read about this in Olive and Delicious magazines.  It was born in the kitchens of East London restaurant Eat17 where they serve it on their burgers.  I've tasted a little bit and it's delicious straight from the jar! (burgers for tea this week for sure)

I can't wait to try Bendylegs Granola which is packed full of tasty things - oats, raisins, apple juice, maple syrup, flaked almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, coconut, sesame seeds, rapeseed oil, vanilla and cinnamon. It recently won two gold stars at Great Taste Awards.  They suggest eating with milk, straight from the bag or with yoghurt. Nom nom nom!

Mr Popple's Chocolate two bars - Euophoric Orange and Uplifting Mint & Lime.  This is raw chocolate which is free from dairy, refined sugar, gluten and soya.  Handmade in small batches.  It's quite nice!

Bailey's Real Food a family run business based in Herefordshire.  They make the Jackson bars - healthy cereal bars without any refined sugar or additives.  Included are hot spice with seeds, ginger and chillies, naughty with seeds, chocolate and marshmallow, lovers with seeds, cherries and whole almonds and nutty with seeds, hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds and brazil nuts.  Looking forward to trying these - be good for when I get the munchies at my desk!

A 125g bag of North Coast Roast from Hands on Coffee, a Cornish brand who freshly roast small batches of this delicious coffee.  A 100% arabica blend, medium roasted to give a smooth balanced nutty taste.

You can see the website here and follow on Twitter @Flavrbox

A fantastic box - I'm definitely tempted to sign up next month.  Have you subscribed?

*free box sent for review - honest opinion - I love it!

  1. What a lovely box! Being vegetarian I was a bit put off when my partner bought the bacon jam in the summer, but he loved it!!

  6. I bought this box but I got Serious Pig salamis instead of the bacon jam and I had tea instead of coffee. I pretty much hated everything except the Serious Pig salamis! The chocolate is the most evil tasting substance I've ever eaten! xx
