Body Lotion Spending Ban!

I've put myself on a body lotion/butter/oil spending ban (and all other beauty products apart from Carmine, She Said Beauty and Joliebox.  Amarya (I have until September as I paid this for a year) and any essentials I may need).

I was a bit cheeky yesterday and bought L'Occitane Cherry Princess Silky Body Gel - like I need another body lotion - when you see the photo below! A limited edition scented with cherries and floral notes - (I recently received a free sample instore and fell in love).  Its got a light silky texture and melts into the skin leaving the skin delicately scented.  There is an extra-special Limited Edition set available containing 50ml EDT, 250ml Shower Cream, 75ml  Body Gel and 30ml Hand Cream all for £39.  You can see the set here.

Below are the body products I want to use up this year.  I have nearly finished the Neutrogena Body OilNivea lotion and Elemis Pro-Collagen Body Cream.

Other half doesn't understand why I need so many! I do like a choice (plus I have a few more hidden away - oops).  This post was inspired by The Bristol Beauty Blog and Cosmetic Cravings.

What beauty products do you have too many of?

  1. Woaw. These are a lot! I like to stay only at 2-3 products but if I get the one which I like I stay only at that. Maybe is ok, but maybe no. I would be curious which from them would you love at the end.

  3. I'm the same, I always get lots of moisturiser for Christmas and just end up year after year trying to use up what I have :)

  4. Glad I'm not the only one who falls into this trap from time to time. I had shed loads of body and face creams/lotions. It was chronic when I worked in skin care. I was given product and had more than I could ever use, so was giving a lot away. Not so bad now that I mostly have to buy it myself. LOL!

Speaking of giving it away, may I suggest to anyone suffering with product overflow, that you consider donating the excess to a women's shelter. Give and Make Up can give you more details about this.

  5. I am on a ban too, I havent bought a new body lotion/oil/cream in like a year because I have so many! And I'm trying to not allow myself to buy anything new until I have used up whatever else I have i.e. no new mascaras until I've used ALL my mascaras! xx

  7. I'm afraid I believe you can NEVER have too many body lotions - I always tend to run out and be horrified at the thought of stepping out of the shower with dry skin. Shudder. So I'm quite envious of your impressive stash:)

I think blusher is my problem product - far, far too many colors that I never use, they just always look so pretty in the packages!

  13. Glad you are joining me on the challenge! My no shower gel challenge is going well, although I opened one bottle of Neal's Yard Orange and Geranium shower gel (My HG actually) and it had gone off! It was one I got this Christmas as well, so I'm going to take it back and get a replacement. I need to tally up my body lotions etc again, as they are busting out of their storage box (again)! x

  15. I've got too much of everything lol. I like to use a different shower gel everytime I have a bath, and a different body lotion etc so everything takes forever to use up. I should maybe try and use one of everything for a while to get rid of a few things before they go rancid. Ugh! haha. x

    2. It's so hard to use up one at a time though isn't it, when you have so many others you like as well. I'll give it a go, I don't see me having much will power though :D Good luck with using all yours up x
