Carmine - November and December likes

I subbed to Carmine in November (I couldn't miss out on yet another beauty box!)  I had loads of hassle regarding my address detail and late delivery.  Carmine support assured me it would be fixed for the December box.

December came and my box was again late - I eventually received it, and it was addressed wrong again! (luckily my long suffering postie knows I am a beauty addict and I  got it eventually!)  I have been assured it has been sorted for January - fingers crossed!

These are my likes from the November and December boxes.

November

Cosmetics a la carte Brow Ink – really ingenious product, love it.  Never used a brow ink before.  It can also be used as eyeliner.

i-pout lipstick – loved this, beautiful colour (Berrylicious) and really handy on nights out with the built in light and mirror. I hadn’t tried this brand before the beauty boxes.

Lulu Time Bomb Flashback Night Cream 15ml – ideal try me size.  Lovely cream enjoyed using would maybe re-purchase (stocked up in a couple in swaps).

December

Institut Esthederm Time Technology Cream – I love trying new face creams and this is really nice.  Rich but easily absorbed.

KMS Freeshape Quick Blow-Dry –  spray on towel dried hair and it reduces drying time by 50%.  Love this product would buy full size.

Benito Brow Bar Free Eyebrow Threading card – A free eyebrow threading.  Not used yet but I can in either House of Fraser or Debenhams - valid until June.

The other items in the boxes I swapped (Weleda Pomegranate Body Wash, Japonesque Smudger Brush and Blingtone eyeshadow).  I gave the Dainty Doll Eyeliner and the NEOM body lotion as gifts.

I will see what the contents are of the next couple of boxes as I am not using all the products so this may be the one I will cancel.

What are your thoughts on Carmine?

  2. I love Carmine, really excited to see what's in this month's box! The KMS blow dry spray is amazing! Sounds like such a hassle you've had with them though :( x

    1. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt - unless it happens this month! I saw a spoiler for the Jan box and can't wait to receive :) x

  3. I haven't heard much about Carmine but the December box sounded really good. I already go to benito for eyebrow threading and I think I pay £13.

  5. I’m trying to be restrained with my beauty box subscriptions as I only have a small flat and limited space to store everything! I’ve tried Carmine once as I won October’s box in a blog comp. I liked it but thought I would wait a bit to see what it was like.

I think that due to the sheer number of them (I’m sure I read yesterday there is another one coming out soon!) a couple will fall by the wayside. I have however just subscribed to Boudoir Prive / JolieBox so will see what I think of that one!

    1. I know I am finding it hard to store stuff too! I reckon you are right, they will not all be able to survive. I'm going to cancel Carmine after this box and then just buy a box if there is one I like in the months to come. I also subscribe to BP/Joliebox and its one of my favourites. x

  6. I cancelled my Carmine box after the December box as I can't afford it, but I'm glad I did after seeing what was in Januarys. Nothing in there I like, so I'd have been gutted if I'd spent nearly £13 on it. I'll wait and see what next months has in it, and do what you're doing, just buy if I like the look of it, but the problem with that is you run the risk of missing out on a box, but thats the chance I'm will to take. I saw another box advertised yesterday but was on my phone so couldn't see it properly, it was £9 per month though. Might look into that one and get the first one possibly.

    1. I'll use everything from the January box (maybe not the lashes!). Yes, I've signed up to She Said Beauty (£9 plus P&P) starts in March. x
