Joliebox Review - December 2012

My Joliebox has just arrived and I have some different items than I was expecting.  The box is different from normal white/gold and has a gift envelope you can use to give the gift of Joliebox.

"All that Glitters...

Pull out your party frocks and highest heels..we bring you beauty tidings fit for any festive occasion!"

Included is:

BellaPierre Shimmer Powder in Storm - a silvery grey colour. Full size product.

Dr Duve Hand & Decollete Cream - 2 x sachet.  A brand I've not heard of before but I tend to find sachets don't always give you a good indication whether you'll like a product or not.

Natural Honey Body Milk 75ml - always happy to try a body lotion.

Color Club "Put a pin in it" Nail Polish - a rose gold shade

Aqua de Colonia Concentrada perfume vial - reminds me a bit of 4711 - not really keen.

Olay Regenerist Skin Cream 7ml - have received this as a freebie a few times. Not a luxury brand.

I Love...Cosmetics Shimmer and Shine Lip Gloss - 11ml in Raspberry & Blackberry.  A cheap brand you can pick up in Superdrug. Full size product.

Two 38g bars of Lindor Chocolate

It's not the worst box I've had but not too exciting either - what are your thoughts?

  1. Hello :)
i never bought any of these boxes
here in italy there is one green box with all organic and natural products but its more expensive than the normal one (its from glossy box) i dont like these kind of things because i do not like surprises but i must admit the green its nicehihi

    1. I think lately it's been more of a miss than a hit! I tend to prefer the green box I get - Amarya x

  2. I've give up on beauty boxes. I'm wondering if they were a trend that's had it's day. Too many people chasing too few trial sizes and the brands are pulling way back on sampling. I loved the Carmine box I used to get and was sorry to see them disappear into Glossybox's grubby hands.

    1. My year sub ends in February and I won't be re-subscribing. I'm also thinking of stopping the Amarya box as it's not as good as it was although it offers generous discount and points with purchase which you can save up or use towards buying a product.

  4. It's not great...I've been underwhelmed by my boxes the past few months. I'm getting one more Amarya in January, but then that's it. :(

  6. It doesn't exactly scream 'Christmas' does it?! I'm glad I don't subscribe to beauty boxes anymore, they seem to repeat the same brands and I'm just not that interested in a lot of the samples. x

  8. Having seen the price of the Dr Duve, it would have to be literally magic for me to feel compelled to shell out that much for it based on two sachets. When you're selling something that expensive, you really do need to give out enough to get people hooked.

I don't mind that the lip gloss is cheap - the cheap one in this month's Glossybox was subtle and non-sticky and I actually like it, but would never have thought to buy it because I don;t actually like lip gloss - but I do mind that it's a sticky shimmery gloopy mess.

Glad I didn't get silver shimmerstuff though. I like silver but it makes me look like a glittery corpse.

    1. I know I'd much have preferred a mini tube. I'm a bit fed up of the bellapierre tbh. x
