Love Lula: Terranova Supplements+Pure & Light Organic Skincare

I've got niggling knee pain so in March picked products which I thought might alleviate some discomfort.

From Terranova Supplements I've been trying their Tart Cherry, Nettle & Turmeric Super Blend (£19 - 50g)* which is great to relieve joint pain, sports injuries, inflammation and discomfort.

The supplements are in a super potent powder form which are fresh freeze dried to lock in important nutrients. (the supplements are suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians).

The blend contains anthocyanin flavonoids which have great antioxidant qualities and are found in Tart Cherries. Nettle Leaf helps with inflammation and joint health while Turmeric root helps with joint degeneration. Celery stalk and leaf are abundant in free radical scavenging antioxidants and ginger lessens inflammatory pain.

To use: blend 1/2 tsp with a small amount of juice or water before drinking. I found it easier to whizz the powder with a mini blender otherwise it can taste slightly gritty.

I definitely found the supplements of some help so will continue to take them until I feel the pain lessens or goes away completely.

I also chose a topical cream from Pure & Light Organic Skincare - Holistic Yoga Body Cream (£29 - 150ml)* which is the "perfect alignment of body, mind and spirit". It's suitable for all skin types and contains homeopathic remedies (St John's Wort and Arnica) to help alleviate pain in muscles and joints.

The cream is easily absorbed and feels quite firming on the skin. It contains Frankincense, Sandalwood, Spikenard and Orange Blossom. I've not noticed much of a difference with soothing aches and pains although it is quite nice to use.

I'm not so keen on the scent - it's slightly too herbal and medicinal for my tastes (even thought it contains some ingredients that I normally really like!) but as I've only been using it on my lower body it's not been too much of an issue.

What products do you use for pain relief?

  1. Sorry to hear about your knee pain and hope you're on the mend now! The supplements sound interesting - I've read a lot about turmeric being great for reducing inflammation x
