Review: Hifas da Terra

Spanish company, Hifas da Terra recently contacted me to see if I'd like to try some of their products which are made using a variety of organic mushrooms. I'd received their micro soap in August's Souk Souk Beauty Box.

A family company the products are produced with love and care. Mushrooms are great for the immune system and have a high concentration of amino acids, polysaccharides, protein, minerals, vitamins and enzymes.  The ranges available include: gourmet foods, supplements, serum, soaps, massage candles and delicious chocolate!

I was sent some sachets of Mico-Serum* (£68 - 50ml) which is an anti-ageing serum made from reishi and codyceps extracts. It is stuffed full of good things for the skin and it rejuvenates, brightens, repairs and protects the skin. Use AM and PM.  This brightens the skin and you can feel it firming the skin as soon as you apply but I'm not in love with the earthy type scent (so this is an item I wouldn't personally purchase).

Mico-Soap Sponge* (£14) is one of the most unusual body products I've ever used! The wool sponge is made from Xisqueta sheep's wool and contains a bar of soap made with reishi and honey.  It exfoliates and cleans the skin. Moisten the sponge with warm water before massaging it over the body.

Mico-Massage Relax* (£28 - 100ml) - use this candle for massage. Burn for 5 minutes (no longer than 15 minutes) and pour the melted oils into your palm before using for massage or as a body oil.  This has a rich and aromatic floral scent and is made with reishi extract, shea butter and vegetable oils.  Helps to relax and destress and leaves the skin feeling comfortable and super nourished. This is my favourite item.

I was also sent a bar of delicious chocolate*.  Have you tried anything from Hifas da Terra?

  1. Thanks for passing on my details to these Sandra! Unfortunately I couldn't find full ingredients lists on their website and Annie mentioned before that there were questionable ingr. in the soap so I declined but the soap sounds interesting!
