Launch of Appointedd.com

Yesterday, I attended the launch of Appointedd.com which took place at Hotel Missoni in Edinburgh.  Appointedd.com is an online booking service for Salon and Spa bookings - currently only available in Glasgow and Edinburgh but will be rolled out across the UK.

Founder Leah, is an ex-journalist and Magazine Editor who recently appeared in The Entrepreneurs a documentary shown on BBC2. She also won £30k from The Scottish EDGE, funds which are awarded to deserving Scottish entrepreneurs to put into their businesses.

With Appointedd.com you can search for Salons in your area, check out special offers and actually book your appointment there and then. The software package informs the salons of the booking as well as updating the Appointedd site.  If someone books independently at the salon, Appointedd's site is also updated.

Salons can get to know their customers better - notes can be stored on every client including profiles, photos and appointment history.  SMS messages can be sent to confirm appointments, send promotions or even just to say 'happy birthday'.

James Econs, founder of Social for Salons spoke via video link about managing your Salon's Social Media in-house which was interesting. His colleague Peter sat on the Panel along with blogger, Andrew JamesHair Stylists Anna Mather & Paolo Andreuccetti and Julie Grieve, Chair of PSYBT.

I'm looking forward to booking myself in for some treatments soon!

Gail from Just Be Botanicals kindly said I could use her photo of me and some of the other Beauty Bloggers who attended the launch.

It was lovely to meet Leah and her team, to catch up with Gail at Just Be Botanicals - check out her fab range of products. Meeting some bloggers - especially nice to meet Andrew James (link) and Jade (link). Was also lovely to meet PaoloAnna and SaraJane - who is launching her gorgeous skincare brand soon - see here.
