Crème de la Mer

I went down to town yesterday lunchtime and popped into Jenners to have a look round the beauty hall.  I fancied trying Crème de la Mer The SPF 18 Fluid Tint (£55 for 50ml in Medium).  Joanne, the friendly and knowledgeable assistant asked if I'd like to try a few products.

There are four cleansers in the range - The Cleansing Lotion, The Cleansing Gel, The Cleansing Foam and The Cleansing Fluid.  Joanne used the Cleansing Lotion (£55 for 200ml) as this was the easiest cleanser to use at the counter.  It removes make up and surface impurities.

The Oil Absorbing Tonic (£50 for 200ml) was perfect for my oily t-zone.  It contains a powder which soaks up excess oil - only thing I'm not keen on is it contains a little alcohol.  I prefer more natural toners.

Next up was The Regenerating Serum (£220 for 30ml) and it is gorgeous!  With a silky smooth texture it helps to diminish the appearance of fine lines, pores and wrinkles.  Apply before moisturiser.

Another product which I fallen in love with is The Eye Concentrate (£125 for 15ml).  Using the silver tipped applicator sweep a small amount of eye cream around the eye area (approximately six times) morning and night.  If you have any cream left over on the applicator use it around the lip area.

The moisturiser I tried was The Moisturising Gel Cream (£95 for 30ml).  It's formulated with the Miracle Broth but rather than a rich cream it is a light gel.  I previously tried a sample of The Moisturising Lotion which I loved!

Joanne then applied the Fluid Tint with a foundation brush.  It left my skin with a touch of colour and a dewy finish.  The tint protects the skin from UVA/UVB rays and you apply it after moisturising.

A dusting of The Powder in Crème completed my look (£55 for 25g) - a light as air loose translucent powder which leaves a flawless finish.

My mini treatment finished with The Lip Balm (£40 for 9g) - a real luxe lip balm (which I have once purchased!)

I also tried (on the back of my hand) The Body Refiner which featured in my June Wants.  It's gorgeous and leaves skin with a sparkle.

I was given two samples to try at home:

The Regenerating Serum 3ml and The Moisturising Gel Cream 3.5ml

You can visit your local counter for a complimentary treat - Discover the Moisture Collection - The Essentials Treatment - The Skincare Consultation - The Eye Treatment - The Luxury Hand & Arm Treatment - The Skincolor Consultation.

On my current wishlist is:

The Regenerating Serum
The Eye Concentrate
The Moisturising Lotion/Moisturising Gel Cream
The SPF 18 Fluid Tint
The Body Refiner

Well I can wish! Although I do plan to save up for the moisturiser.  Have you used any of these products?  What are your thoughts?

  2. la Mer is out of my price range :) I'm not even tempted by the samples for fear I'll fall in love with something and then have to get a second job to support a la Mer habbit :)

  3. Wow you were lucky to get samples, they are so stingy at my counter and have been known to lie and say they don't do them! It infuriates me, who would spend that amount on a product without trying first!

I've had the original moisturiser before, me and my sis went halves when we lived together, I really like it. I also bought the radiant infusion, which has been on my re-purchase wish list for a while, it really was very lovely. Maybe I'll get it next payday....
