November Empties

Here's what I've been using up in November. If a product is marked * I kindly received it complimentary for review.

I love Indie Lee's Energize Deodorant 50g. See my review HERE. Will buy again. Huge fan of Ezape Naturals, their body butters are divine. I didn't think the Tea Tree & Peppermint* blend would be something I'd like as I'm not a huge-huge Tea Tree fan but this blend was really nice and minty-fresh. I would buy full size. Monpure's Clarifying Salt Scrub 50g was nice to use but unlikely to buy it again as there are other scalp care products I prefer. I love CITY SURViVOR supplement range and found both Immune Support and Night Support very effective. See my earlier review HERE. Will definitely buy both again at some point. Naturopathica's CBD+Unwind 30 Caps* see my review HERE. Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Body Scrub 28g which is a nice scrubby scrub with the delectable sweet original aroma. On the wishlist full size. The Nue Co MOOD 30 caps, I love these onto my second pot. They really do ease anxiety and brighten your mood. A keeper. Raven Botanicals Drift Bathing Oils sample, a rich and aromatic bath delight with a gentle lavender aroma. I simply adore Miller Harris's Lumiere Dore EdP 9ml, it's one of my favourite MH scents. Distinctly summery with orange blossom notes.

Friendly Soap with Peppermint & Poppyseed, a zero waste minty soap which was nice and refreshing. Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk 150ml, one of my favourites. I've just opened the last in my stash. I want to try the newish Living Proof one next. Love a bit of aromatic bodhi & birch. Their Ylang Ylang Inscensa Bath & Shower therapy 50ml is one of my fav b&b scents. See my review HERE. Just bought full size. Kiss the Moon Love Bedtime Bath Salts 50g* were gorgeous. See my review HERE. Will definitely buy again.  I quite enjoyed Agent Nateur & Shiva Rose Holi (Rose) No.4 Deodorant but not enough to buy it again. Noble Isle's Rhubarb Rhubarb! Hand Wash 250ml was gorgeous. Hugely fruity and lathered up well. Would buy again (wish they did refills though). JOIK's Organic Cornflower Facial Mist 50ml* was very refreshing. See my review HERE.

I'm not going to use anything else up in August so here are my August empties. If it's marked * I've kindly been sent the product to review.

As you'll know I'm a huge fan of Butterwhips. I used up their Traditionally Floral & Exotically Tranquil Body Butters 25g each which were gorgeous. See my review HERE. Would buy again. Escentric Molecules Molecule 03 (30ml) I absolutely love this vertiver scent & have just opened a new one. I used up 2 sample vials - Miller Harris Poirier du Soir which is deliciously fruity & Kenzo Flowers EDT which is sublime. Would buy both full size. Tata Harper Hyaluronic Gel Moisturizer 10ml is perfect for summer. I had the pleasure of trying Scottish brand Deerieo & fell head over heels for their Aurora Face Oil Serum 10ml* review. It's on the wishlist! I simply adore Floral Street's Electric Rhubarb 10ml. I always have a back up! The Oribe duo were fab (Gold Lust Shampoo & Conditioner both 50ml). Really luxurious. I adore this brand!

Organic Youth Skincare Escape Organic Bath & Body Oil 15ml. I truly loved this stunning oil which is scented with Jasmine, Vanilla, Sweet Orange & Sandalwood - review. Buying next month!  It was good to revisit Temple Spa and I loved the La La Lagoon Bath & Shower Gel 30ml. I adore every Dr Hauschka product I try and their Rose Nurturing Bath Essence 100ml* is simply sublime. See my review HERE. It's on the wishlist! Siam Ginger is one of my favourite bath & shower therapy scents from Bodhi & Birch. Sure to buy again soon! I used their Botanic Dew Hand & Body Wash for hands and I love it's uplifting scent. Summer Scents: Kingdom Scotland, Jones & Modha, Miller Harris + Kenzo

These are the summertime perfume samples I've been reaching for. I was very kindly gifted the latest Kingdom Scotland Kingdom Botanica EdP 2ml vial*. Having loved the others in the range REVIEW. So I was thrilled to try the new one! It's a collaboration with the Royal Botanical Garden in Edinburgh to celebrate their 350th Anniversary and is "a scent in tribute to the work and passion, enlightened spirit and dedication of all the botanists, scientists and adventurous Scottish plant hunters of the past, present and future"

With top notes of: Spiced Plum Blossoms, Fresh Pink Pepper, Blackcurrant Stem and Bud, Green Botanicals and Pine Needle. Heart notes: Exotic White Florals, Lily, Ginger Lily, Jasmin, Wild Herbaceous Vegetation, Sweet Myrrh and Frankincense with Base Notes of: Sandalwood, Patchouli, Cedarwood, Vetiver, White Musk and Amber.

The perfume is Vegan and Cruelty Free (50ml - £120). I think it's absolutely gorgeous - deeply floral with herbal and woody notes. Full size is firmly on the buy soon list.

I picked up a sample vial at Jones & Modha of their No.1 EdP (1.8ml - £4.95 redeemable on full size bottle, 50ml - £69). It's a gorgeous crisp woody citrus which is unisex. The small batch perfume is created by two friends - Catrin MacDonnell and Hemali Modha (Jones is Catrin's mother's maiden name). Blended in Somerset using the finest ingredients and essential oils. With Top Notes of: Bergamot, Lemon Myrtle, Grapefruit & Red Mandarin, a Heart of: Rose Geranium, Linden, Ginger, Rose Otto, Coriander & Spearmint and a Base of: Guaiac Wood, Cedarwood and Labdanum. It smells different on everyone. I love its citussy-mint fresh notes. Again, full size is on the wishlist!

I've dabbled a few times with Miller Harris's excellent sampling service (4 x 2ml EdP samples for £14), you also receive a voucher for £15 off a full size bottle, if the wish takes you to upgrade to a full size). Poirier d'un Soir is a delicious fruity floral "a pear orchard in early autumn, warm scents swirling in the golden light of the setting sun". With Head Notes of: Bergamot & Pear, Heart notes: Rum & Peony and Lasting Impressions: Birch & Cedarwood. I love this sweet and fruity nostalgic scent.

Rounding up my summer picks is KENZO Parfums Flower 1ml EdT, having been an original Kenzo Flower fan I was pleased to try the new lighter and fresher version. Rosewater adds a freshness to the original Bulgarian Rose note. With Top Notes of: Parma Violet, Wild Hawthorn, Cassia, Rose Blossom, Mandarin & Jasmine. Heart Notes: Vanilla & White Musk and Base Notes of: Hedione & Cyclosal.

Do we share any summer fragrance favourites?

Latest Buys: Pai Skincare, Oribe, Therapie, Cult Beauty, Herbfarmacy, Can-to-Candle, Miller Harris, NorthburN

Well, I failed miserably with my £100 spend for June... I blame Cult Beauty's great offers! Will try better next month...

The Impossible Glow by Pai Skincare had been on my wishlist. The drops make the skin glow! Pai say that it's your "post holiday glow, bottled". Add a couple of drops to serum or moisturiser or use alone for an intense hit. I've been enjoying using them and have found my skin looks more healthy and glowy. I picked mine up at Naturisimo.

I can never resist an affordable Cult Beauty Gift with Purchase. I picked up their recent The Cult Conscious Goody Bag free with a £65 spend (see contents below). I picked up a new Oribe Obsessed kit, my fav Therapie Himalayan Detox Salts and my third item was for a birthday gift.

I picked up Herbfarmacy's Sweet Orange Body Oil (another item ticked off the wishlist) when they had a bank hol sale recently. It's as beautiful as I'd imagined it to be!

A candle from Can-to-Candle's new Elegance collection which has a double wick and is presented in a clear glass jar. I chose "Coast" a stunning floral marine. I'm looking forward to lighting it soon.

I did sleep on this one! Cult Beauty's The Skindie Edit is absolutely stuffed full. It only costs £35 too and is jam packed full of goodies (at time going to press, there were still some available).

I was desperate to try Miller Harris's latest launch - Reverie de Bergamote so picked up 4 x 2ml sample vials. You get free shipping if you pick 4. I'd also wanted to try their Leather Rouge (stunning). Tea Tonique is a fav and Poirier d'un Soir another new try.  You also receive a voucher to save on a full size bottle if one steals your heart.

I couldn't resist NorthburN's Gift of the Month in their brand new Hotel Collection scent. No.4 Blackcurrant Leaves is simply stunning. Fruity, floral and aromatic. Inside the gift (now sold out) was goodies worth £21 (wax melts, votive candle and room mist) which was offered at £12 plus p&p. It's truly lush and might nudge my fav Mandarin & Bergamot off its pedestal!

Another Cult Beauty buy (whoops). Yet another affordable Gift with Purchase. Spend £70 on skincare. I chose 3 x Pai Skincare products, two of which had been on the wishlist - Carbon Star Detoxifying Overnight Facial Oil and Light Work Rosehip Cleansing Oil. My splurge was the gorgeous Century Flower, Lotus & Orange Blossom Soothing Tonic, which I've used before. Feast your eyes on the beauties!

We're hoping to move house later this year so this MUST be my last splurge. What have you been buying lately?

Shopping My Stash #110

*productsample I've not shopped my stash since the beginning of November! I'll be doing it a lot more this year as I'm having a low-ish spend year. I'm keeping my Beauty Pie subscription for now, Feel Unique monthly samples and my bi-monthly Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box. I've got so much to use up and only one face!

I've fallen head-over-heels for Miller Harris's exquisite Tea Tonique Perfume Oil roller-ball which came in one of The Perfume Society boxes which I received at Christmas from hubby (link). This silky scented oil is a joy to use - so luxurious and one of my favourite Miller Harris scents to boot (I've also used it to tame flyaways!)

I love my tin of citrussy fresh Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream which is a joy to use and that scent - totally mouthwatering! See my review HERE.

From D'Alchemy is their amazing Spectacular Hand Therapy* my dry winter hands are loving this light but rich and deliciously aromatic hand cream. See my review HERE.

I love my Hourglass mini dim light Ambient Lighting Powder which I picked up in the states last year (£5 less than here) which I use over foundation for a bit of magic glow!

My final item is Beauty Pie's Future Lipstick Luxe Shine in Dusky Rose. It's a my lips but better shade with a glossy look. I love it!

Miller Harris: Violet Ida EdP

Violet Ida EdP by Miller Harris (50ml - £85, 100ml - £115) is inspired by Graham Greene's book Brighton Rock, "a place of contrasts, vivid colour and nostalgia, a fragrant confection, a powdered kiss at the end of the pier, for Brighton Belles and weekend Divas". I took part in beauty.ro's #beautyandbooksmonday on Instagram featuring Violet Ida see HERE.

Building on Miller Harris's creative exploration of literary inspiration which began with Scherzo & Tender in 2018, Violet Ida is inspired by Greene's character Ida Arnold, the big hearted heroine who wears violets in her hair. The fragrance evokes high heels, lipstick, weekends on the coast, pebbled beaches, arcades and music with an air of nostalgia.

It has head notes of Italian Bergamot and Carrot oil, a heart of Orris Beurre and Heliotrope with a base of Vanilla and liquid Amber.

It's unlike anything in my collection - a powdery soft confection of sweetness with hints of iris and violet. I simply adore it. What's are your favourites from Miller Harris?

Also a delight is Sublime Blossom, a bouquet of peach flowers and neroli blooms. It has head notes of Bergamot, Lemon, Sweet Orange and Neroli. With a heart of Jasmine abs, Orange Blossom abs, Freesia, Privet Flower, Honeysuckle and Ylang Ylang with lasting impressions of Sandalwood, Ambergris, Driftwood, Sweet Musks and Vanilla.

And you know the drill, I now want both of these full size!

It has a bright and breezy freshness with a base of vetiver and moss. With head notes of Red berries, Cardamon, Spearmint, Peppermint, Lime and Verbena, heart notes of Bergamot, Fennel, Angelica, Geranium Bourbon and Blackcurrant with lasting impressions of Vetiver, Sandalwood, Moss, Musk and Myrrh Resin.
