September: Lately I've been Loving

Here's what I've been loving in September:

A smallish dropbox from The Rose & Thistle Wax Patisserie which I started at the beginning of August. Huge love for Gain Island Fresh and Morello Creme so far!

I read The Midwife's Secret by Emily Gunnis* which I kindly received from the publisher via Netgalley. It's an absolutely superb read and one of my favourites this year. It publishes near the end of October so watch out for it.

Trying out the scrumptious new Vanilla & Salted Caramel Wax melts from Olfactory Candles. Seriously mouthwatering. Get 15% off your 1st wax order with SANDRA15.

Looking after my boss's gorgeous wee dog Astro (looking for treats!)

I signed back up to Balneaves monthly wax melts box again! Total fail I only missed a month before I needed my sub back!

Discovering a lovely new homewares shop in Musselburgh called Coast & Wild. Looking forward to popping back.

Receiving proof copies* of two fantastic looking books!

Lunch at Foresters, our local pub with a pal. What have you been loving in September?

Latest Buys: ila Spa, Olfactory Candles, Books, Evolve Organic Beauty, Blue Labelle, St Eval Candles + de Mamiel

And yes, another fail I can't stop treating myself! Here's what I've been buying lately:

I couldn't resist ila Spa's new CBD Body Calm which I picked up at Love Lula. See my review HERE. I've since picked up their CBD Better Days Drops - a review to come for these!

I can never resist some Olfactory Candles goodies. I'm currently obsessed with The Jam Pot scent, a deliciously fruity blend of raspberries, strawberries and vanilla. I also adore fruity Blueberry Burst. Black Pomegranate is a new try and having loved the whipped soap had to try their sugar scrub soap (Vanilla Orchid). Remember you can get 15% off your first wax order with SANDRA15.

I also had to have their melon splash summer special, a delicious blend of Melon and Cucumber which are lolly shaped. Check out the shop HERE.

Books from The Portobello Bookshop. My friend Magi gave me a 10% off code, so kind. So it was lovely to have a browse and pick up a couple of books.

I can never resist a The Rose & Thistle Wax Patisserie monthly box. July's box theme is Magically Inspired (£15 plus p&p). Scents inside are - Sour Apples, Gain Island Fresh, Mermaid Wishes, Precious Flowers, Magic Baby, Candy Cotton Clouds. All very pretty and smell amazing!

I had-to have Evolve Organic Beauty's new Rose Quartz Facial Polish (£22 - 60ml) which is packed with real rose quartz crystals to buff away dead skin cells. Review to come!

I blame instagram for most of my purchases! I spotted Blue Labelle's new Uplift Essential Oil Blend £7.50 and had to have. I'll be diffusing this in my burner. Inside is a hand blended combo of Geranium, Orange, Black Pepper & Lime which smells uplifting! A review to come.

I adore Cornish St Eval Candles scent, Sea Salt and snapped up a large ombre jar in their recent 20% off sale. I also had a new customer code of 10%. Isn't it a beauty!

Rounding up my recent buys are some de Mamiel samples. If you saw my post on instagram, you'll know I loved the presentation of the parcel. Choose 3 samples for £15 plus p&p. I had to have the Summer Seasonal Oil (2ml) as well as Revitalising Body Serum (4ml) (need this full size!) and Restorative Cleansing Balm (5ml). I must start buying the seasonal oils again. One year I had them all - SpringSummerAutumn and Winter.

The Rose & Thistle Wax Patisserie

I've had a couple of orders from The Rose & Thistle Wax Patisserie, a beautiful UK based soy wax melt business (room sprays+bathtime goodies too) founded and run by Tammie in Essex. I started a Dropbox (you pay for each order as you go along then pay postage when you want to close your box and have your wax sent to you). It's a great way to spread the cost and only pay one lot of postage & packaging.

As I was going on holiday in July and wanted to pick up a couple of the new drops so I started my box on 10th July and chose Twisted Mermaid Soy Wax Melt Slab (120g - £6.60) which is a hefty slab of gorgeously pretty wax scented with berries, citrus and vanilla sugar (it's too lovely to cut!)

At that time I also picked up their Luscious Sugar Plum Fairy Soy Wax Melt Flower (55g - £2.90) which is scented with fruity plum, soft peach, nectarine, vanilla and creamy coconut. The 23rd July saw me add 2 x packs (2 shapes per pack) of Rose Jammies, which is similar to a floral Lush scent (£1.90 each pack) which I'd bought before - it's strong and rosey.

On 2nd August I added Bango Bongo to my dropbox (large heart melt - 50g - £2.75) which is scented with tropical mango and creamy coconut. It ends up a gorgeous dark green shimmery shade and smells of holidays. I also added a large star melt of Sleepy Time (similar to Lush) which is a delight. It has notes of Tonka and Lavender and it's perfect for a soothing moment of calm or melted just before bedtime. (50g - £2.75).

On 10th August I added Frost Fairy (large star - 50g - £2.75) which is also similar to a very popular powerful Lush scent with notes of candy floss and pear drops. I also added a snap bar of Wood Sage & Sea Salt (reminiscent of a Jo Malone perfume) (50g - £2.75) with notes of sea salt, minerals and sage.

My final pick was on 11th August of a Tuberose snap bar (50g - £2.75) which has a strong creamy tuberose aroma. It was then I decided to close my dropbox, pay postage and get my wax! (oh and I've started a new dropbox!)
