Feel Unique: Beauty Kit: Verso, Charlotte Tilbury, Darphin, Le Prunier, Philosophy

After last month's brilliant choices (review) I couldn't wait to make my picks again for Feel Unique's newish Beauty Kit (5 deluxe samples for £12, plus £3.95 (p&p) - the p&p returned to you in the form of a code for a subsequent purchase). This month my picks ml by ml are worth over £40! Your products come packed in a pouch which is useful for holidays/weekends away (I'd personally just prefer to receive one with your 1st order but it arrives every month).

And for a closer look..

Verso Foaming Cleanser 25ml (worth £9) I've tried a few products from this brand but not the cleanser so a review will follow!

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Fair 0.8g which is the cutest mini ever! I picked this one last month too. Perfect handbag size for touch-ups on the go (it is paler than the photo).

Darphin Tangerine Aromatic Care 4ml (worth £11.20) the oil has an exquisite zesty orange scent. I've been enjoying using this one - and would definitely pick up full size. It's a delight.

Totally new to me brand is Le Prunier and this little 3.7ml bottle of Plum Beauty Oil is worth a whopping £20.30! I'm looking forward to testing it out. I love that it's a multi-use product - you can also use it the ends of your hair before blow drying or to smooth flyaways when dry. A review will come!

My final item is Philosophy's Amazing Grace Magnolia EdT 15ml (worth £7.35) which is a fresh floral - just perfect for spring. Again, a review to come!

Latest in Beauty: Beauty Guru: Build Your Own Box

I'm a huge fan of Latest in Beauty and their "Build your Own Box". I choose "Beauty Guru" which is 9 products for £18 a month including p&p. (you can also choose 3 products for £9 per month or 6 products for £15 per month). Sign up HERE. I think this month is one of my favourite boxes.

So what did I pick? (oh and you also get a free sample or two).

WOW!

I'm a huge fan of Jurlique's Rosewater Balancing Mist (15ml) and have picked this up again and again. I first tried it in 2013 (mini review) and no doubt it'll be a choice again!

I was pleased to see Tropic Skincare as a pick! I picked up a 5ml size of their fab Super Greens Nutrient Boost Serum. I've tried it before and loved it. See my review HERE.

Totally new to me brand is 58 Lifestyle and I picked a 50ml bottle of their Balancing Bath Oil which has notes of Green Mandarin, Geranium, Coriander, Jasmine and Ylang Ylang. There's also a code for 15% off any of their products (upon checking the website this bath oil normally costs £25!) A review will follow as the product looks and smells gorgeous!

I'm a huge fan of Neal's Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm and I picked up a generous 15g trial size.

From Aurelia Probiotic Skincare is their gorgeous Revitalise & Brighten Hand Cream 7ml. See my review HERE. If this is a pick I always pick it up as I love it so! (and these size are great for my handbag or in the desk drawer!)

The Natural Lipsticks from Burt's Bees are absolutely fantastic (these retail at £9.99 each). I've already got both these colours which I love - 501 Blush Basin and 523 Sunset Cruise (I've earmarked these ones for Christmas gifts!) Both are very wearable with long lasting colour.

Also from Burt's Bees is their Spring Splendour Lip Gloss which is in a pretty pink shade.  I'm a huge fan of PHB Ethical Beauty (I love their Organic Eyeliner in Brown). This Lip Crayon in Pink which is my final choice this month can be worn all over the lips or as a liner.

I also got some free samples:

Regenerate Advanced Toothpaste 14ml (I've tried this before and really liked it)
Urban Veda Turmeric+Botanics Radiance Replenishing Night Cream 2.5ml sachet
Philosophy Amazing Grace EdT 1.5ml vial
15% off code for 58 Lifestyle.

What do you think of my picks? Have you picked up a box lately?

Latest in Beauty: Beauty Guru

It's been a while since I've had a Latest in Beauty Box - I unsubscribed for a couple of months over summer - they'll always draw me back however! I picked up some for me and some for the present drawer (as the sizes are great stocking fillers).

I'm very impressed with the Puressentiel Rest & Relax Air Spray 75ml which helps you to relax and have a good night's sleep. It's made with a blend of 12 essential oil which soothe and comfort.

I can never resist Omorovicza and I can't wait to try their new Midnight Radiance Mask 15ml (50ml costs £90 so this is a great try-me).

I used to be a huge Elemis fan and I'm looking forward to trying their Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm 20g again.

I love Aurelia Probiotic Skincare's Aromatic Brighten & Repair Hand Cream and this 7ml size is great for the handbag! See my review HERE.

I'm also a fan of Resultime Hydrating Cream 15ml which deeply nourishes the skin. It's a great size for travel too!

I'm always looking for the perfect product to smooth out lip lines so picked up Monu Skin Lip & Eye Active Lift 7ml which improves fine lines and wrinkles while brightening and rejuvenating.

My final picks are: from Ultrasun there is Glimmer Sun Lotion SPF20 25ml, from Origins their Plantscription Anti-Ageing Power Serum 15ml and from The White Company their Seychelles Hand & Nail Cream 30ml.

Latest in Beauty also threw in a couple of Philosophy samples as an extra - Amazing Grace EdT 1.5ml and their Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Cleanser 6ml.

Pick up your box HERE (chose from 3 - £9/month, 6 - £15/month or 9 - £18/month).

The Perfume Society: The Travel Edition

I ordered The Travel Edition as soon as it was offered to VIP Subscribers and then waited 14 days for it to be delivered! The Perfume Society really need to sort out their courier problems as this is not the first time I've had issues with an order.

As ever the box is fabulous and stuffed full of gorgeous perfumes and other goodies.

This little set surely is the cutest! It contains a mini soap (30g) and perfume spray. Fragonard Pivoine 4ml EdT is from the FLORAL family. With top notes of redcurrant, rhubarb and mock orange, a heart of pink, red & white peony, jasmine and mimosa and a base of musk, powdered iris and amber. It really is a beautiful feminine summer floral.

The next perfume to jump out at me is the quirky Moschino Pink Fresh Couture 5ml EdT mini in the shape of a bottle of flash!  It's from the FLORAL FRUITY WOODY family and has top notes of pink grapefruit, cassis and lily of the valley with a heart of pomegranate, pink jacinth and wild rose and a base of cedarwood, ambrox and musk.

I'm already a huge fan of Etat Libre d'Orange's You or Someone Like You 2ml EdP (having received it my May Bloom Perfumery Sample Pack). It's from the FRESH family and has notes of roses, mint and wild grasses and is a really luscious and mouthwatering scent. Full size is already on my wishlist.

From Atelier Cologne we have Cedrat Enivrant Cologne Absolue 2ml which is also from the FRESH family (and is beautiful). With top notes of cedrat, lime and bergamot, a heart of mint, basil and juniper berries with a base of tonka bean, vetiver and elemi. It's a really beautiful sparking citrus (I also love that the samples come with a pretty postcard).

From Weleda is Onagre 1.5ml eau naturelle which is from the GREEN FLORAL family with top notes of magnolia, a heart of cardamon and a base of sandalwood. This is a really nice spicy scent.

I've tried Annick Goutal's Eau D'Hadrien 1.75ml EdP before and loved it. This perfume is from the FRESH family and is bursting with zingy citrus. It has top notes of Sicilian lemon, bergamot, citron and grapefruit with a heart of cypress, galbanum, basil, juniper berry and ylang ylang with a woods base.

Azzaro Chrome Pure 1.2ml EdT is from the FRESH family and has top notes of bergamot, mandarin and pepperwood with a heart of Akigalawood and orange blossom with a base of tonka bean, cedar and musk. This is a male scent so I'll pass it on!

Issey Miyake's Nuit Bleu Astral 1ml EdT is from the WOODY family and has top notes of lime and coriander with a heart of gentian and leather accord with a base of amber and vetiver. I really like this unisex scent.

Narciso Rodriguez For Her Fleur Musc 1ml EdP from the ORIENTAL family which is a really pretty feminine scent. It has top notes of bergamot, mandarin, tuberose, pimento leaves, ginger, saffron, honey accord and rum with heart notes of orange blossom, orchid rose and heliotrope with a base of myrrh, sandalwood, suede, tobacco and vanilla.

The two extras this month:

30ml Molton Brown Costal Cypress & Sea Fennel Bath & Shower Gel
30ml Philosophy the microdelivey exfoliating face wash

It really is a fabulous box. Pick yours up HERE.

The Perfume Society: Modern Classics Discovery Box

My The Perfume Society VIP subscription kicked in again in January (when you re-subscribe you are given a £10 credit). I hadn't got round to buying a box in January or February but I couldn't resist current box Modern Classics (subscriber price £12.50/non-subscriber £17.50 plus P&P) as I adore Angela Flanders Columbia Rose EdP (having first tried it on a visit to London when we stumbled upon the shop) (with the other two in the trilogy). It's still love (it was the reason I wanted the box) and the trilogy is still on the wishlist!

L'Occitane Terre de Lumiere EdP (5ml) which is a delicious gourmand scent with top notes of bergamot, ambrette seed and pink pepper with a heart of lavender honey and base notes of acacia flower, bitter almond essence, tonka bean and white musk. This is almost edible and I'm looking forward to wearing it.

Illuminum White Gardenia Petals (2ml) which is famed by the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton wearing it on her wedding day. It's a beautiful and heady floral scent with top notes of bergamot and cassis, a heart of jasmine, muguet, white gardenia, ylang ylang with a base of amber and woods. It's a very feminine scent.

I haven't worn Narciso Rodriguez for Her EdP (0.8ml) for years. It used to be a favourite so it'll be nice to revisit. It has top notes of peach and rose, a heart of amber and musk with base notes of sandalwood and patchouli.

I was surprised to learn that Marc Jacob's Daisy EdT (1.2ml) is 10 years old this year! Doesn't time fly.  It has top notes of stawberry and violet leaves, with a heart of violet petals and jasmine bouquet with a base of musk and vanilla infusion.

Cartier's Basier Fou EdP (1.5ml) translates to "crazy kiss" and is a soliflore; a fragrance created to evoke a single note - in this case the exotic orchid. It has quite a tropical scent, with powdery and white chocolate notes.

Yardley London English Freesia EdT (1ml) is a gentle but pretty floral. With top notes of bergamot, lemon, mandarin, freesia, cypress and lavender with a base of sandalwood, musk, olibanum and amber crystals.

Flower by Kenzo EdP (1ml) I've never really been a fan of this one but it's growing on me! With top notes of pink pepper essence and blackcurrant, a heart of Bulgarian rose essence and parma violet and a base of white musk and vanilla.

The extras this month are:

Philosophy Hope Renewed in a Jar Eye 7ml - a decent sized tube of eye cream which is "a beauty classic in it's own right".

A voucher code for £10 off when you purchase any full size fragrance at L'OCCITANE (valid until 31 May 2017).

Minnie's Literally Love It Shimmering Body Lotion sachet which I'll pass onto someone who will love this!

The Perfume Society: Beautiful Blossoms Discovery Box

I can never resist the fab discovery boxes from The Perfume Society. The latest one, Beautiful Blossoms is stuffed full of really great samples and a 50ml tube of Elemis's British Botanical Shower Cream. The box costs £15 or £10 for members.

Ruth Mastenbroek Amorosa 1.5ml EDP
Floriental
This is a beautiful scent with notes of watermelon, green leaves, violet leaf, galbanum, tuberose, white flowers, tiare flowers, jasmine, Ylang Ylang and base notes of amber, ambergris, patchouli, woody amber accord, vetivert and maltol.

Miller Harris Coeur de Jardin 2ml EDP
Floral
This is really lovely and one of my favourites in the box. With notes of bergamot, lemon, hesperidin, pear, peach, Turkish rose, jasmine, tuberose, white orris butter, amber musk, moss and patchouli. I'd buy.

Jimmy Choo Blossom 2ml EDP
Floral
I love this gorgeous floral scent. It has notes of red berries, citrus, sweet pea, rose and white musk and sandalwood. I've been wearing this since I got the box and full size is on the wishlist!

La Perla Peony Blossom 1.2ml EDT
Floral
With notes of pear, white peach, blackcurrant, orange blossom, peony, jasmine blossom, violet, patchouli, vanilla and sweet musk. A pretty floral.

Fragonard Jasmin 2ml EDT
Floral
This scent has notes of bergamot, orange leaf, Grasse Jasmine, Indian Jasmine, Egyptian Jasmine and Amber. Again I really like!

Agonist ISIS 2ml
Oriental
I'd say this is my least favourite. Its a unisex fragrance but I find it smells more masculine on my skin.  It has notes of citrus, green tangerine, ylang ylang, black pepper, ginger, anise, peach, caramel, heliotrope, nutmeg, amber, musk, benzoin, vanilla absolute, labdanum and lorenox.

Philosophy Amazing Grace 1.5ml EDT
Floral
I've never really tried any of Philosophy's scents much before but this seems quite nice. With notes of bergamot, mandarin, yuzu, grapefruit, muguet blossom, rose, jasmine and musk.

Chloe Love Story 1.2ml EDP
Floral
I love the notes this perfume contains but it smells quite powdery on my skin which I'm not keen on. It has notes of neroli, orange blossom, jasmine and cedar.

Yardley Contemporary Classics 1.5ml EDT x 4
Floral
English Lavender - with notes of bergamot, clary sage, English lavender, eucalyptus, geranium, jasmine, chamomile, violet, woods, vanilla and patchouli. English Rose - with notes of citrus, rose, tea accord, rose bud, magnolia, violet, cassis, woods, patchouli, musk.  Lily of the Valley - with notes of pear accord, lily of the valley, freesia and musk and April Violets - violet leaves, citrus, orris, mimosa, rose, white peach, sandalwood, vanilla and powdery notes.  I like all of these.

Elemis British Botanical Shower Cream 50ml
Floral
The scent of this shower cream was inspired by a traditional English garden and contains notes of lavender, chamomile, geranium, palmarosa and rosemary.

British Beauty Blogger Edit Box

My British Beauty Blogger beauty box arrived yesterday!  A limited edition box (there were only 500 and they sold out in a matter of hours). Jane has confirmed there will be a Christmas box (available in November) - I'd suggest you sign up to Jane's emails or follow her on Twitter  so you will be among the first to know!

This amazing box cost just £15 (plus £4.55 P&P) and features Jane's most favourite beauty products.

Here's a picture of when I just opened the box. WOW!

Onto the contents:

Bess wanted in on the photo!

As a huge Jo Malone fan I was excited to see a 2ml sample of Jo Loves Pomelo - which has notes of Pink Pomelo, Rose, Clove, Vetivert, Suede & Patchouli - it's simply gorgeous!  Need to start saving for a full size bottle (30ml - £45, 100ml - £95).

A full size bottle of Trilogy Rosehip Face Oil (20ml - £16.50) - I'm a huge fan of this face oil so pleased to see it included in the box.

The next three items are Elemis Tri Enzyme Face Mask 15ml - I've also used this product before.  It is a gel mask which removes dead skin cells leaving the skin clear and radiant.

There is a Neom Hand Cream 50ml in Complete Bliss Moroccan Blush Rose - my most favourite hand cream...ever - so I'm pleased to have a back up! See my review here.

Philosophy Purity Cleanser 90ml - A 3-in-1 cleanser for face and eyes which removes make up, cleanses, tones and hydrates the skin.

Next up is BIOEFFECT Serum 2.5ml - I love this! It helps with wrinkles and pigmentation and brightens the complexion.

Melvita is another favourite brand - included is Orange Blossom Extraordinary Water 28ml - this is nice and refreshing for spritzing onto the skin anytime of the day. Can also be used for toning.  The Apicosma Body Balm 15ml smells sweetly of apricots.  Looking forward to trying both of these.

CND SolarOil 3.7ml - a 'hero' product which helps keep nails strong, hydrated and supple.  I'm trying to grow my nails just now so this little oil will help!

Finally the make-up!

B Mascara 8ml (£9.99) - Superdrug's own brand - a lengthening & defining mascara which is water resistant and smudge proof.  Looking forward to trying this!

Benefit The POREfessional 7.5ml - a huge fan of this especially to pat on afternoon shine.

Bourjois Cream Blush - this is a cute peach shade - looking forward to trying it out! Full size product.

Illamasqua Liquid Metal Eye Shadow in Electrum 8g - another full size product. This is only my second make up item from the brand so looking forward to trying it out.

Finally, a full size Lanolips Lip Balm 17.5ml in shade Rhubarb - I'm a huge Lanolips fan but not tried this shade yet.

Included is also a range of money off codes from the brands included in the box and an informative leaflet with a message from Jane on the front.

An amazing box.  What are your thoughts?  Did you manage to pick one up?

Samples #7

It's ages since I've done a samples post - you can see my last one here.

Erno Laszlo Hollywood Collection - Instant Eye Repair, Intensive Porcelain Veil, Velvet Night Cream, Refresh Moisture Infusion, Morning Beauty Rescue - I love these especially the eye cream and night cream.  Only one not so keen on is Morning Beauty Rescue as it's a bit sparkly.

Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Mattifying Fluid - nice product but tiny sample - hard to tell if this suited my skin as I only got one use.

Philosophy Hope in a Jar, Eye Hope and Purity 3-in-1 Cleanser - I liked using the eye cream and the cleanser.  I didn't like the scent of the moisturiser.

Manuka Doctor Rejuvenating Face Mask - this was lovely smelt amazing and felt fab on the skin.  Would perhaps buy full size.

Avon Advanced Techniques Shampoo and Leave in Conditioner - these seemed quite good but I didn't like the scent of them so wouldn't buy.

Weleda Skin Food and Pomegranate Body Lotion - loved both of these especially the Pomegranate Body Lotion which I'll definitely buy at some point.  Loved the fruity scent and how it felt on my skin.

Vav Hand Cream - tiny sachet seemed a nice enough cream but hard to tell as it's such a small sachet.

I also used Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate sample vial - nice enough product but there are other face oils I prefer.

The Oh Lola! EDP sample came from my Perfume Samples challenge.  Love its light, fruity & floral scent - I'd definitely buy this perfume.

As you can see I'm still in sample overload!

These are the samples I've picked for #8:

philosophy 2 Piece Foot Pampering Set

As you will probably know QVC UK stock philosophy products.  The philosophy brand was founded in the USA in 1996.  "philosophy products are designed to enhance your skin and wellbeing with multitasking benefits and uplifting messages that create a fresh, approachable attitude towards beauty".

I was sent philosophy 2 piece Foot Pampering Set (£22.25 + £3.95 P&P) which can be purchased from QVC.  Included in the set is footnotes energising foot scrub (120ml) and soul owner exfoliating foot cream (93g). A perfect set for getting your feet ready for summer.

The footnotes energising scrub is pumice based so is quite gritty (which I love!).  A botanical blend using essential oils.  Apply to dry feet and massage in circular motions before rinsing.  Can also be used in conjunction with a pumice stone.  A minty menthol scent.

soul owner exfoliating foot cream uses glycolic and salicylic acids for added exfoliation.  The cream also deeply moisturises. Scented with eucalyptus essential oil.

I've only been using the products for a short while but they are truly pampering, smell great, make my feet smoother and are lovely to use.

Do you used any philosophy products?

December Empties

Here are my December Empties.

L'Occitane Angelica Hydration Cream 15ml - love this lightweight cream although I've found it to be more suited to spring/summer months due to its lightness.  Would definitely buy again.  The scent even grew on me!

Elemis Pro-Collagen Lifting Treatment for Neck & Bust 15ml - this was a GWP freebie.  Lovely product although quite expensive full size.

Bodhi Mint Thé Refreshing Bath & Shower Therapy 50ml - love this! Will definitely purchase full size at some point.  You can see my review here.

Bodhi Ylang Ylang Incensa Sensual Body Moisturiser 40ml - gorgeous! My review is here.

Sanctuary Spa Hand Wash 250ml - picked this up a few times. Nice scent. Would buy again although I am using NEOM's Complete Bliss hand wash at the moment and it is gorgeous!

Bodhi Jasmine Falls Relaxing Bath & Shower Therapy 50ml - gorgeous! See my review here.

Weleda Pomegranate Body Lotion 4ml sachet - this came in November's Amarya box.  Loved it.  One I'm definitely adding to my wish list.  Loved the fruity scent and light texture.

Caudalie Vinosource Mattifying Moisturiser 1ml - nice but too small a sample to really test it.

NEOM Complete Bliss Bath Oil 5ml - this came in December's Amarya box.  Already love these gorgeous bath oils.  You can see my review here.

Noble Isle Summer Rising Bath & Shower Gel 30ml - one of my favourite shower products of the year.  Have bought this full size.

Philosophy Eye Hope Eye Cream 2ml sachet - nice product got a few uses from it.  Unsure if I'd  buy full size.

Simple Cleansing Wipes mini pack - handy after night's out and like to use wipes sometimes.  Will probably pick these up again.  Gentle on the skin.

NEOM Complete Bliss Organic Hand Cream 50ml - absolutely adore this hand cream - the best I've used.  You can see my review here.  I recently bought another.

Balance Me Supermoisturising Hand Cream 30ml - lovely hand cream.  I have another tucked away to use.

Vav Hand Cream 2ml sachet - this came in Joliebox.  I wasn't taken with the scent so wouldn't buy.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant sachet - love this!  Have used it on and off for years.  A really great product.

Swap with Kat @ Tales of a Pale Face

On my recent Empties post I mentioned that I'd loved the samples of Vichy Idealia Smoothing & Illuminating Cream I'd used and mentioned that I'd have to buy full size at some point.

Kat left a message saying she'd be happy to arrange a swap with me as she had a 15ml pot that she wouldn't use.

I was super-excited when my parcel arrived as Kat has sent me loads of lovely extra samples.

Here is what she sent:

Vichy Idealia Smoothing & Illuminating Cream 15ml (plus 3 x 1.5ml sachets of Idealia Pro).

Manuka Doctor Rejuvenating Face Mask Bee Venom Purified 2ml sachet - can't wait to try this and from a brand I've never heard of before.

Philosophy Purity made Simple 3 in 1 cleanser 6ml sachet, Philosophy Eye Hope Eye Cream 2ml, Philosophy Hope in a Jar high potency moisturiser 2ml - not tried much by Philosophy so keen to try these too!

Sisley Moisturiser with Cucumber 4ml - a real luxury brand so again looking foward to trying!

Thanks so much Kat for such a smooth swapping experience and for all the lovely extras you sent.  You can follow Kat's blog here and follow her on Twitter @Talesofpaleface
