Love Me Beauty Box - October

An unexpected Love Me Beauty beauty box* arrived with me on Friday.  I loved September's box* which you can see here. The box costs £10 a month plus P&P.

Here's the top picks I was sent:

Oriflame Seeing is Believing Eye Cream 15ml (£10.95 - 2 credits) - I'm enjoying using the ecollagen wrinkle correcting eye cream from last months box.  This cream reduces puffiness, softens dark circles and targets fine lines and wrinkles. Looking forward to trying this out.

Percy & Reed Eau My Goodness Shine & Fragrance Spray 50ml (£6 - 1 credit) - A great haircare brand. I've not tried this particular product before.  Rose scented it adds shine and gloss to your hair.

Montagne Jeunesse Hot Spring Sauna Mask (single use £1 - 1 credit) - I really like this brand and the masks are nice to use. This one is self-heating and exfoliating. It opens up the pores for a deep clean. It helps to remove dead skin cells leaving the skin clean, radiant and refreshed.

anatomicals beauty nutter? here's your butter - orange flower and amber body butter 200ml (£4.99 - 2 credits) - this has a nice scent but I wouldn't personally have chosen this product.

Montagne Jeunesse Travel Pamper Pack

I popped into Semichem to pick up some essentials (cotton pads, toothpaste & mouthwash) and came across this Montagne Jeunesse Travel Pamper Pack (£2.99) which contains 6 sachets for hair, face, feet and body. Just perfect for a night away or a pamper session.  

1 x Passion Peel-Off Masque 10ml made with Pomegranate & Passionflower - I love peel off masks so looking forward to trying this out! Bet it smells gorgeous too.

1 x Crushed Apricot Kernal Skin Smoother 10g which deeply exfoliates the skin. Perfect to use on elbows, knees and feet.

1 x Crushed Blueberries Foot Cooler 10ml which cools and refreshes tired and hot feet.

2 x Juiced Orange Body Wash 15ml which is moisturising and invigorating helping to wake you up in the morning or refresh after a day sunbathing.

1 x Squeezed Lime Oil Intensive Spa 15ml this is a repairing & conditioning hair masque which contains lime oil along with orange, grapefruit and lemon juice.

Love Me Beauty Box - June Edition Menu 2

My June Love Me Beauty box* landed on the mat yesterday morning. 

I chose menu 2 this month. Also included in the box is a £10 special voucher for Flavourly which is a lovely added extra in the Birthday box and especially for Love Me Beauty customers.

Beauty UK High Brow Kit (£3.99) I was keen to try this little kit as I tend to get my eyebrows waxed or threaded and that's it. So I'm looking forward to giving this a go. It contains 3 shades of powder, a double ended applicator, a colourless wax to keep brow hairs in place and a teeny tiny pair of tweezers.

Model Co Eye Define Pencil in Black (£9) I find I can never have enough eyeliners! Love that this has a built in sharpner. It gives intense long lasting colour. I'm pretty sure I've used one of these before and loved it.

NYX Cosmetics Nail Polish in Compulsive (£3) these are "exotic shades" I'm not a huge polish fan so I'll pass this one on.

Urban Veda Purifying Daily Facial Wash (full size retails at £7.99 the size included in the box is 20ml) I've used this before and really liked it.  I'll be popping this one in my travel bag.  See my review here.

Montagne Jeunesse Hot Springs Sauna Masque (£1) huge fan of these single use masks. This one is self-warming and suitable for a deep cleanse.

I thought the box contents were not as exciting as last month's box which I loved. I am however looking forward to trying the brow kit!

YOU Beauty Discovery Box: November

What an amazing choice available for the November YOU Beauty Discovery Box (£6.95 including P&P) this month. My box arrived on Thursday and I picked NeoStem Serum (30ml - worth £59!) and Maddi Alexander Frivolous Bath & Body Oil (10ml - worth £10). I've used Maddi Alexander Bath Soak before - see my review here.

YOU add two product - this month a sample of Montagne Jennesse Body Smoothie and a sample of Lizi's granola. I got Belgian Chocolate flavour.

Secret Swap

Stephanie decided to arrange an All things nice swap...see here. It turned out that Stephanie sent to me and I sent to Kel at Kel Loves.. My parcel arrived on Friday.

I am really pleased with everything.  Here's what I received -

Whittard Moony Bliss Plum Green Tea - smells gorgeous looking forward to having a relaxing brew.

Tiger Stores notebook - always like to have an notebook in my handbag for blog notes. This is the perfect size.

Savon di Midi Wild Rose Soap - this smells amazing - from a brand I've not heard of before.  I adore bars of soap.

Montezuma's Dark Chocolate Orange & Geranium - nom nom this sounds delicious. Huge dark chocolate fan. Not tried this brand before.

Lavera Rose Garden Bath Sea Salts 80g -  my favourite Lavera scent. Looking forward to a pampering session.

Burt's Bees Nourishing Lip Balm with Mango Butter - huge lip balm fan and not tried this one before.

Montagne Jeunesse Chocolate Chocolate Masque & Montagne Jeunesse Mud Pac - looking forward to trying these - love a good face mask.

Samples #1

I set myself a challenge to use up sachet samples and mini tubes every week as my basket in the bathroom was overflowing.  You can see my post here.

These are the ones I tried last week -

Here are my thoughts -

L'Occitane Verbena Sorbet Body Ice Gel 6ml - light, gel texture and cooling on the skin.  Loved this.  If I didn't have so many body lotions to use up I'd buy this Limited Edition.  Would be lovely kept in the fridge and used on hot days or on holiday.

Elemental Herbology Eye Elixir 1ml - seems a nice eye cream but hard to tell if it's doing much for me as its such a small sachet.  My favourite eye product is Elemis Absolute Eye Serum - I find nothing can beat it.

Snowberry - Intensive Renewal Face Serum, Nourishing Rich Day Cream and Night Defence Night Cream - all 3ml sachets.  Got three uses out of each.  Nice products.  I found the day cream too rich for my skin and the serum was a bit thick.  Nice to use although I probably wouldn't purchase (and I wasn't keen on the scents).

Kiehl's Creme de Corps 5ml - rich body cream with light scent.  Got this in the Advent Calendar last year and had used previously.  A lovely body product and would purchase.

Aloe Vera+Vitamin E Sheet Mask - I love sheet masks so this was very lovely to use.  I've got a wee supply of various sheet masks.  Would definitely purchase again.

Aqua Boost Moisturising Eye Mask - there are three in the pack, only used one this week.  Really uplifting around the eye area.  A nice product.

Pure Thoughts Yoghurt & Green Clay Face Mask - a single use sachet.  It's a powder which you mix up with water and apply to the face.  Gorgeous.  Would buy again after I finish the Strawberry & Pink Clay version.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil Free Lotion 3ml sachet - I'm not sure if it was just a reaction I had but as soon as I put this on my skin I felt a burning sensation - eeek!  So not one I'd think about purchasing!  

Eve Lom Cleanser 5ml - the original Hot Cloth Cleanser.  Contains mineral oil making it a no-no of the natural skincare lovers.  I have used this in the past and I must admit quite like it.  Removes make up easily and makes skin feel clean and refreshed.  The sachet is actually not finished yet as a little goes a long way.  I have enjoyed using the cleanser and I would maybe buy in the future.

Superdrug Freebies

I picked up a couple of items in Superdrug recently.  These were free as I used my points!  I first read about the Vitamin E SPF 15 Radiance Moisture Cream on Gemma's blog.  

I also picked up a Montagne Jeunesse Ultra Deep Cleanse Amore Rose face mask for normal, oily and t-zone skin.
