August Empties

I'm very early with my August empties but I'm absolutely drowning in the stuff and want to recycle! Products marked * I've very kindly been gifted for review.

I've a few perfume samples: All Saints Incense City vial which I picked up via Feel Unique's pick 'n' mix service. I've since bought full size of this. See my review HERE. Safe to say I love it and would re-purchase. From Avon is one of their latest launches - Elixir of Love - Falling in Love with Neroli & Iris EdP vial (again, loved this and have picked up full size). My final sample vial is from Typology (Yuzu Mandarine)* - see my review HERE.  One for the wishlist.

I totally adored D'Alchemy's Spectacular Hand Therapy* and was bereft when I used this up (it's on the wishlist when I've used up some hand creams in my stash). It's just total perfection. See my review HERE.

Avon's Planet Spa Aromatherapy Beauty Sleep Hand Cream 30ml was nice to use before bed. Might or might not pick it up again.

I'd read absolute rave reviews about La Roche-Posay's Pure Vitamin C10 Serum 30ml. The product is fantastic as it brightens and makes the skin glow but the pipette packaging is terrible (cue excess dried on around the neck). Loved the product - hated the packaging.

Trilogy's Vitamin C Booster Treatment 12.5ml* I really liked this and would definitely buy it again when my skin needs some oompf. Check out my review HERE.

Diptyque Philosykos Perfume Oil Roll On - the best fig perfume out there. Will pick up the EdT at some point.

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk 150ml - one of my favourite dry shampoos. Have already cracked open a new one. Does what it says on the tin.

Bronnley Rose Luxury Soap which was an absolute delight. Will definitely buy again. I also enjoyed Seatree's Bergamot Handcrafted Soap* see my review HERE (also the Patchouli soap further down my post).

Sol de Janeiro's Brazilian Joia Shampoo & Conditioner sachets both 10ml had been on the to try-list. Lovely to use - my hair loved them (and I adore that original bum bum scent). Full sizes on the wishlist. Moving on..

I loved Bloomtown The Woods Nourishing Dry Oil 100ml* see my review HERE. I've got a HUGE body care stash but I'll buy this when it reduces in size. I've had the Neal's Yard Remedies Garden Mint & Bergamot Hand Wash 200ml for what seems like forever (it was beside the sink in the kitchen) It's a lush and silky refreshing wash which I'll definitely buy again at some point.

From Elemental Herbology is their Lemongrass & Nutmeg Body Wash 290ml which I thoroughly enjoyed using. See my review HERE. It's one I'll definitely buy again. I buy again and again Avon's Zen Mandarin & Jasmine Handwash 250ml as I love the scent...and there's more...

JOIK Organic Quick Absorbing Hand Lotion & Softening & Deodorising Foot Lotion* samples. These gave a flavour of the products and yes, full sizes are on the wishlist!  Darphin Tangerine Aromatic Care 4ml absolutely gorgeous product - full size is on the wishlist. From Indie Lee is a trial size of their Purifying Face Wash which was nice to try. Unlikely to repurchase as there are other face washes I prefer. Moroccanoil Body Souffle mini which came in my August My Beauty Kit. Nice to try but not a buy-er.

I loved re-visiting Bramley products REVIEW and found their Body Wash lovely to use on hot summer days and nights. My final beauty item is Odacite's fab mood cleansing ayurvedic bath salts. See my review HERE.

Elemental Herbology: Lemongrass & Nutmeg Body Wash

I picked up Elemental Herbology's new Lemongrass & Nutmeg Body Wash (290ml - £19) earlier in JUNE. This rejuvenating SLS free blend gently cleans the skin. The scent is woody with a whisper of citrus.

Lemongrass is an anti-inflammatory and helps to clear the mind while woody Nutmeg invigorates, improves circulation and eases aches+pains. A touch of Black Pepper recharges, energises and helps to improve mental alertness.

To use: apply to damp skin, massaging over the body before rinsing.

I've really enjoyed this body wash, it's got a nice scent and a gentle lather (and could quite easily be unisex - if you want to share!)

What are your favourites from the brand?

Latest Buys:Five Dot Botanics, Feel Unique, Naturisimo, Cult Beauty

Here's what I've been buying lately (it's something which keeps me sane during these times):

I'm a huge fan of award winning Five Dot Botanics and on receiving their newsletter knew I needed to try their latest launch - Calm Shift - Lavender+Hazelnut Cleansing Face Balm (£24 - 50ml). I've tried it once so far and it has a lovely texture and scent and it turns milky when you add a splash or two of water. A review is to follow!

I sneaked in and managed to purchase a My Beauty Kit from Feel Unique before they paused the service again. I already love the Darphin, Charlotte Tilbury and Le Prunier - the Vichy and Sol de Janiero (I adore their bum bum cream) are new to me tries.

A little payday Naturisimo buy - two new launches from Elemental Herbology and Trilogy - I'm obsessed with Vit C at the moment. I also qualified for a 5 free sample pack (better than last time - no sanitary towels!)

I very nearly was swayed by the Cult Beauty Self Care Goody Bag but realised I didn't need £150 worth of products plus the 19 treats inside the kit. Yes, it was a difficult one to swerve... I did however pick up Jo Loves A Fragrance Discovery which contains 7 x 2ml sample vials (£25). Inside there are 3 I love (click the link for my review - White Rose & Lemon LeavesPomelo and Jo by Jo Loves). Of the remaining 4 full sizes are needed in Pink Vetiver and Rose Petal 25. I also like Orange Butterflies but am not so keen on Green Orange & Coriander (although unisex I find it quite manly). Really chuffed with the set however!

Elemental Herbology Trial Sizes

I've been testing out some try-me size products from Elemental Herbology which you can buy at Naturisimo.  The range "combines high performance, bio-active ingredients with sophisticated technologies and exquisite plant oils". The range helps with ageing skin and is free from synthetic fragrances, colours, mineral oils, sulphates and parabens.

Vital Cleanse Facial Cleanser 25ml* has a gel texture and I like to use it in my morning shower. It deeply but gently cleanses the skin while stimulating cell turnover, improving texture, radiance and vitality. The cleanser contains ingredients such as manuka honey, Organic sea buckthorn, green tea, grapefruit and papaya extract (it smells delicious).

To use: massage onto damp skin before removing with warm water.

Facial Souffle Overnight Cream 15ml* (this size retails at £9.50) the cream has a fluffy rich texture and deeply hydrates the skin. It will soothe, plump, nourish and repair.

To use: apply to the skin after cleansing waking up with dewy and plumped up skin.

Moisture Milk Facial Hydrator 15ml* this is an ultra-light moisturiser which is perfect for combination/oily skin types. It's also great to use in summer or in humid environments as it lightly nourishes the skin.

To use: apply to the skin in the morning for light moisturisation.

Facial Detox Purifying Mask 15ml* (worth £9.50) this mask is fantastic! It deeply cleanses and purifies the skin and is ideal for an oily T-zone. It helps to reduce sebum and helps to decongest the pores. The mask can be used regularly or as a target treatment for spots.

To use: apply to dry skin, leave on for 10 minutes before removing with a warmed damp muslin cloth. The mask dries on the skin but is never tight.

I've been really impressed with all the products. From the four I'd buy Vital Cleanse Facial Detox.

What's your favourite Elemental Herbology product?

Naturisimo Skin Radiance Discovery Box

I really love the Limited Edition boxes Naturisimo offer from time to time. I spotted this one on Tracey's Blog and it seems like they are now Out of Stock! You really have to be quick to grab one.

I'm absolutely thrilled with mine. It cost £12.95 and is worth £60. You can sign up for Beauty Alerts on the website to be one of the first to hear of any fab offers.

Inside is:

Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Discover Size Miracle Cleanser 30ml with Bamboo Cloth which is worth £12. I absolutely love this cleanser. See my review HERE. This is a great size for try me or travel (if I can keep it that long).

I'm a huge fan of Elemental Herbology and it's nice to see a product I've not tried before in the box. Vital Glow Night Resurfacing Cream 15ml resurfaces the skin while stimulating cell turnover so you wake up with healthy and glowing radiant skin (yes please!)

Also inside the box is Caudalie's Resveratrol Lift Firming Serum 10ml which is an oil-free lifting serum which helps lift and firm.

A Tata Harper Moisturising Mask 7.5ml completes the trial size line up. It deeply hydrates leaving the skin looking dewy and luminous.

There are also three sachets in the box:

Kae Argaroyale Day Cream 2ml
The Organic Pharmacy Gene Expression Serum 2ml
Argentum La Potion Infinie 5ml

I'm really looking forward to trying everything out. Did you pick one up?

Bath & Unwind: Beauty Bag with At Home & Tess Daly

As you'll guess the January spending ban is well and truly over! I'm not feeling too guilty as I did recently last 71 days on one.

I was browsing Bath & Unwind for Eye of Horus Goddess Eye Pencil (£15) as I finished my favourite Charcoal one last month. I spotted a fantastic beauty bag offer with At Home & Tess Daly which is stuffed full of goodies (including that eye pencil in my favourite shade).  Costing £29.99 and worth £100 it was too good to miss!

The products are presented in a white Bath & Unwind branded bag and inside is:

Get the Gloss Summer 'It Kit' with Latest in Beauty

Latest in Beauty's Get the Gloss - Summer 'It Kit' is jam packed full of perfect goodies for holidays both at home and away.  It costs £19 plus P&P.

The first thing that jumped out at me is Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Refine & Polish Balm (15ml) which you can either use as a exfoliator or mask - I love a multi-purpose product!  See my review of the Miracle Cleanser and Revitalise & Glow Serum here. Looking forward to trying.

I've tried a few Anne Semonin products before but not the Eye Express Radiance Cubes (1 inside). You need to pop it in the freezer before placing in the little bag provided and then applying it around the eye area. Perfect to use prior to a big night out or the morning after!

Philip Kingsley Swimcap (50ml) is great for use before swimming in the sea or pool and helps with damage from sun and wind. One to pop in the holiday bag I reckon!

I'm a huge fan of Elemental Herbology and included is Cell Plumping Facial Hydrator SPF8 (15ml) it's a best seller which nourishes and plumps up the skin. I've used it a few times before.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse OR (10ml) love this little oil which is perfect with a sun tan! Use on the body and hair for a little bit of shimmer.

Salon Science Aqua Cacteen Hydrasoothe Cooling Spray (150ml - full size) is an ultra-hydrating cooling spray which gives instant relief to dehydrated scalps and boosts hair hydration.

The two items I'll probably gift are Bourjois Aqua Blush (10ml) and Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish (8ml).

Did you pick up this box? What are your thoughts on the contents?

p.s. You can create your own LIB Beauty Awards box of 3, 6 or 9 products - see more details HERE. It includes favourites from Skin & Tonic, Shay & Blue and Bee Good to name a few.

Souk Souk November Beauty Box

My November Souk Souk Beauty Box arrived yesterday and I think it has a great selection this month. It includes one brand I haven't heard of before Zephorium which always really excites me! (upon checking them out I do already follow them on Twitter!)

Zephorium Soul Tonic Perfume Oil 10ml (£12.50) - each scent is designed to support one the chakras and comes with it's own affirmations. Mine is Aquamarine Crystal Throat Chakra - Truth & Integrity with Neroli Oil. The Affirmation is "I speak my truth with courage and integrity".  Neroli helps to overcome anxiety and listen to our inner wisdom calming and soothing the mind.  Aquamarine is the stone of courage which helps to clarify the mind, unblock thoughts and clear the throat chakra giving strength to powerfully stand and speak our truth.  Love this item!

Elemental Herbology Deep Cleanse Body Wash 50ml (£6.50) - huge fan of the face care range. Haven't tried anything from the body care range before. This Deep Cleanse Body Wash combines bio-dynamic algae with apple, grapefruit, lemon and rosemary.  Smells gorgeous!

Lyonsleaf Calendula Cream 15ml trial size - this is the only Lyonsleaf product I haven't tried.  It is great for soothing eczema or psoriasis and as a healing cream for abrasions and rashes. It can also be used for massage and dry skin areas. A wonder cream!

Glam Mineral Eyeshadow in Antique Gold 4.5g (£12) - Vegan and Vegetarian highly pigmented mineral eyeshadow made with 100% natural ingredients.

Extras include: 2 x teabags in peppermint & licorice (I'll pass this one on) and lemon, ginger and manuka honey and a mini Green & Black's Dark Chocolate bar.

Did you get this month's box?  What are your thoughts as to the contents?

December Empties

I seem to have got through quite a few empties this month although quite a lot of them are sample sizes.

Hairy Jayne Deep Cleansing Shampoo 30ml and Hairy Jayne Cream Conditioner 30ml - I've loved all the Hairy Jayne products I've tried and I'll definitely buy full size soon.  See my review here.

Freyaluna Bergamot Lip, Face and Body Balm sample and Freyaluna Skin Support Facial Toner sample - I loved the toner and would buy again. I wasn't quite so keen on the balm.

Kris D'Amour Soothing/Skin Repair Treatment Butter samples - I wasn't keen on the scent of these ones although they deeply moisturised the skin.  I do love the Rejuvenating Treatment Butter though.

bodhi Mint Thé Bath & Shower Therapy 250ml - my favourite bodhi shower gel. It featured in my Top 10 products of 2013 - see here. I'll be buying another bottle over the Christmas holidays.

Elemental Herbology Cell Plumping Facial Hydrator SPF8 30ml - a lovely face cream and one I'd buy. I got this one free with a newspaper offer.

REN VitaMineral Active 7 Eye Gel 3ml - this was quite nice to use, cooling around the eye area but as it's a small sample hard to tell if it helped with fine lines and dark circles.

Jo Malone Wild Bluebell Body Creme 175ml - this was a present from hubby. Loved it, sheer luxury.

Korres Guava Little Shower Gel 50ml - my favourite Korres shower gel. Sure to buy again.

Mama Mio O-Mega Super Rich Body Cream 50ml - this was lovely to use and super moisturised the skin. Loved it.

Mama Mio O-Mega Body Buff 50ml - nice to use but I prefer a scrubbier body scrub.

Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm 5ml - loved this and have another mini still to use.

Naturally Nourished Exotic Body Balm 90g - simply love this exotic scented body balm. Sure to pick it up again.  See my review here

Noble Isle Willow Song Bath & Shower Gel 50ml - love Noble Isle products sure to pick this up again at some point - I noticed Latest in Beauty have this as a Luxury sample.

Neom Sensuous Organic Body Wash 50ml - this was lovely to use and would happily re-purchase.

ila Rose Bliss Face Oil 10ml* - simply one of the best face oils out there. Sure to buy at some point.  See my review here.

Pinks Boutique Rose Crystal Bath Soak sample, Rosehip Face & Body Scrub sample and Rose Face & Body Balm sample - these were lovely to use and very luxurious. Would buy full sizes in a heartbeat.

Naturally Nourished Lemongrass & Papaya Cleanser sample and Frankincense Hand Cream sample - these were lovely and I'd buy them again.

inner-soul organics Circulation Boost Skin Oil 30ml - this came in December's Souk Souk. Loved it.

FoM Body Contouring Body Serum sample - this was lightly scented with lemon and nice to use but a small sample.

Aromatherapy Associates Inner Strength Bath & Shower Oil 7.5ml - this came in my Advent calendar. Loved it. Would buy.

REN Frankincense Revitalising Night Cream 5ml - lovely to use. Would consider purchasing full size.

Samples #8

My last samples update was at the beginning of February!  You can see the post here.

Here are my thoughts:

Tea Tree & Peppermint Intensive Treatment Foot Pack - 1 treatment - these are foot shaped and enriched with the treatment. Smelt nice and were cooling on the feet but not sure if they did much.

Lavera Balancing Face Mask 10ml - simply loved this mask which was scented with ginger, mango seed butter and calendula.  Got two uses out of the sachet and would buy again.

L'Oreal Everpure Shampoo & Conditioner both 10ml - enjoyed using both these.  Would perhaps buy full size.

Neal's Yard Wild Rose Beauty Balm 2g - this was gorgeous!  I used it as a cleanser but it can also be used as a intensive balm or exfoliant.  I got 5 uses out of this tiny sample.  Would definitely buy this.

Sisley Moisturiser with Cucumber 4ml - I wasn't wowed by this.  It was ok.  There are other Sisley moisturisers that I prefer.

Beemy Honey Moisturising Cream 5ml - I just didn't like the scent or texture of this cream.

Weleda Sea Buckthorn Body Lotion 4ml - simply loved this and would purchase full size. A nice light lotion which absorbed quickly.

Elemental Herbology Cool & Clear Facial Cleanser 3ml - this seemed a nice cleanser but as it was such a small sachet it was hard to get more than one use from it.

Cotswold Collection Jasmine & Orange Blossom Hand Cream 5ml - I seem to have thrown this sachet out with my empties.  This was lovely, supermoisturising and smelt gorgeous.

Comfort Zone Tranquility Cream - this was lovely.  It was quite a rich cream with a delicate scent.

Dermalogica Skin Prep Scrub - a nice scrub. Love Dermalogica skincare.  I think I just prefer the daily microfoliant.

Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+ 2.5ml - absolutely love this! My skin just lapped it up.  I have acquired a few of the mini bottles to keep me going.

REN Keep Young & Beautiful Serum 3ml - I just couldn't use this as I found the smell of it a bit off-putting.  A shame as I really rate REN products highly.

Evolve Protein Build Conditioner 7ml - this was nice with a light scent.  Would maybe buy full size.

Ojon Damage Reverse Restorative Hair Treatment 8ml - definitely an acquired scent! I got a few uses out of the sachet.  Liked how soft and moisturised it left my hair feeling.  Would maybe buy.

Avon Advanced Techniques Moroccan Oil Leave in Treatment - I found this to be a bit heavy for my hair and I wasn't keen on the scent.

The samples I've chosen for week #9 are (and my sample stash is going down!)

Murad Rejuvenating Lift for Neck and Decollete 3.7ml

Spending Ban - Update 9

I broke my spending ban again in Week 9.

I bought a Little Beauty Box from Latest in Beauty - not had one of these in ages and I bought the new Elemis Cleanser - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm.  See my post on it here. On Sunday night I bought the Latest in Beauty Organic & Natural Box which was £4.95 with free P&P.

I'm still enjoying using my paperblanks* journal to record my spending and wants.

Onto my wants for this week -

Chantecaille Frangipane EDP 75ml - I've owned this perfume once before and I spotted it in Harvey Nichols last week.  Definitely one to save up for! It has notes of Frangipane flowers, vanilla, musk, ylang ylang, jasmine, orange and violets.  Simply gorgeous!

Elemental Herbology Watermelon & Cucumber Body Moisturiser 240ml - also spotted this at the SpaceNK counter at Harvey Nichols last week.  Smells beautiful. Light and fresh. Ideal for summer.

Miller Harris La Fumee Incense - I've always wanted to try this incense as I love the smoky scent of the perfume.

Philip B Russian Amber Imperial Conditioning Creme 178ml - this sounds absolutely lovely but at that price I won't be buying it any time soon - nice to dream though!

REN Moroccan Rose Otto Bath Oil 30ml - one of my favourite bath oils.  I would love a full size bottle again as I seem to have been using minis lately.

Serge Lutens sa Majeste la Rose EDP 50ml - another perfume I have owned before.  Absolutely gorgeous I'd love another bottle! With Turkish, Bulgarian and Moroccan Rose.

What are you "wanting" this week?

A good week! Just a spend on a Psychologies Magazine - love this magazine such an interesting and informative read which makes you think too.

Onto my wants:

Korres Watermelon Body Scrub (150ml - £9.60) - just finished an Elemis body scrub which I really liked.  I like the sound of this fruity scrub especially as I love the scent of watermelon.

Clark's Botanicals Intense Radiance Mask (£58) - a white clay mask to revitalise skin.  To brighten and make skin more luminous.  Sounds fab!

Elemental Herbology Neroli & Rose Damask Body Duo (£34.50) including Body Wash & Body Cream. Already love Elemental Herbology for skincare.  The body range sounds lush.

Diptyque Roses Candle (£40) - simply love rose scented candles and Diptyque.  A luxe want!

Sarah Chapman Discovery Collection (£40) - since trying a couple of samples I really want to try more from the Sarah Chapman range.

REN Moroccan Rose Otto Sugar Body Polish (£32) - I'm a huge fan for REN Moroccan Rose Otto Bath Oil, Body Oil, Shower Gel and Body Lotion so it would be nice to try the scrub.

How is your spending ban doing?  Have you tried any of my weekly "wants"?

These are the products I've been reaching for this week - I've been really enjoying shopping my stash these past few weeks and its something I'm going to keep doing.

December Empties

Here are my December Empties.
