March: Lately I've been Loving

My favourite beauty subscription box is Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box. See my review of March's Rebalance box HERE. Remember if you are tempted you can get 10% off your first box with BEAUTYBALM10.

I had the real honour of being a Beauty Shortlist Awards Judge this year. See all the winners HERE and see my top picks HERE. It was a wonderful experience and I just loved taking part.

The sweet little honeycomb earrings I picked up in the sale at Nectar & Bumble. I loved the pretty packaging too...it's the little things.

My new Sisley Beauty Subscription makes my heart sing! A great way to try products which are normally out of your price range! See my review HERE.

Being sent a copy of Lesley Kelly's new novel in the Health of Strangers series which is called Songs by Dead Girls which is beyond exciting! You can pick up a copy for yourself from publication date which is the 19th April. You can see my musings on The Health of Strangers HERE.

I picked up this sweet little hanging heart with all the "Portobello" street names from Claire at Claire Kirkpatrick Art

I've been creating a variety of warm and cold blended creams and face oils as part of the Formula Botanica Diploma in Organic Skincare Formulation which is fascinating. I've been creating creams with different formulas and ingredients (mainly with successful results!) I'll be sharing some thoughts in a forthcoming blog post.

I'm a huge fan of diffusers and I've been testing out this lovely one by Willow & White Candle Company in Lemongrass & Ginger (£21.50) which is zingy, zesty and spicy.

Willow & White Candle Co: Sea Salt & Wood Sage Candle Melts

Scottish based, Willow & White Candle Co have a great range of candles (from travel votives to three wick candles), diffusers (at a very affordable £19.50) and soy wax melts. Founders and creators, sisters Susie and Linda wanted to create luxurious handcrafted candles at affordable prices with pretty but minimal packaging. There are twelve scents in the range - Pomegranate, Eucalyptus, Lemon & Mint, Blackberry & Bay, Winter, Lemongrass & Ginger, Lime, Basil & Mandarin, Nutmeg & Ginger, Sea Salt & Wood Sage, Pear & Freesia, Amber & Lavender, Pomelo and Basil & Neroli Blossom.

A while back I bought a pack of their Sea Salt & Wood Sage Candle Melts - £4.75 for 6 (which I think is very good value). I've found them to melt evenly and the scent is beautiful (and similar to the Jo Malone perfume of the same name). It has notes of grapefruit, bergamot, tangerine, sea breeze, seaweed and minerals with base notes of musk, amber and cedarwood. I've been burning them in my dining kitchen and the sea inspired aroma beautifully scents the room - highly recommend!

Recent Buys: You Dirty Scrub, Pacifica, Willow & White Candle Co, Shay & Blue

I came across You Dirty Scrub on Instagram - they're a Scottish brand founded by Jen Whyte. Their speciality is coffee scrubs but they've also got a range of delicious bath salts - Mint & Eucalyptus Bath Salts are beautiful - 100g costs only £3.49 making them a cost effective treat (the Orange & Rosemary ones I'm keeping for a forthcoming giveaway - watch this space!)

I love anything with coconut water so when I spotted this Pacifica Coconut Water Micellar Cleansing Tonic at Love Lula (236ml - £12.99) I had to have it! I do find it maybe a bit strong to use around my eyes but otherwise I love it!

Another Instagram find is Willow & White Candle Co which offer beautiful candles, reed diffusers and wax melts in popular scents. Expect a review soon!

I recently picked up a 2ml sample vial of one of Shay & Blue's new Extract of Parfum - Parfum Nashwa (£5) which is simply stunning. It has top notes of bergamot and neroli, a heart of cacao noir and coconut and base notes of musk and oud. Pick up your sample(s) HERE.
