TIGI S Factor True Lasting Colour Shampoo & Conditioner

Hairtrade.com is one of the UK's leading online retailers of hair extensions, hair care and beauty products from top brands.

I was recently sent TIGI S Factor True Lasting Colour Shampoo* (200ml - £8.60) & TIGI S Factor True Lasting Colour Conditioner* (250ml - £9.40) to review.

They smell delicious (a peachy scent) and if used together will help maintain your colour and tone for up to 40 washes.  Both products are infused with ultra-sheer micro shine oils and the nourishing formula adds shimmer and helps to keep your hair healthy looking.

"Designed for women who want sensational hair every day".

Apply the shampoo as normal and after rinsing apply the conditioner from root to tip and comb through. Leave on for a few minutes before rinsing.

I've enjoyed using both products and especially liked how my hair looks afterwards - shiny, healthy and static free.

See the Hairtrade website here.

Hair Care Products - Oils, Volumizers etc.

Following on from yesterday's post here is my styling products and other items.

OSiS+ Flatliner Flattening Iron Serum 200ml - you can see my review here.

Sebastian Shaper Fierce Ultra Firm Finishing Spray 50ml - I got this in my Pout Edinburgh goody bag recently.  Not used it yet.

Philip Kingsley Maximiser 60ml - got this in a swap.  Great product for body and volume.

Percy & Reed Finishing Polish 100ml - was a magazine freebie and love this for reducing static.  It smells good too.

Moroccanoil Light 100ml - love this oil.  I've also got a small 10ml of the original one which is handy for travel.  Leaves the hair looking health and silky smooth.

KMS Freeshape Hot Flex Spray 30ml - this came in one of the beauty boxes.  Not really used it yet.

TIGI Catwalk Sleek Mystique Blow Out Balm 90ml - this came from last October's Feel Unique box - oh how I miss Feel Unique!

Batiste Tropical and Blush Dry Shampoos (120g & 30g) - the tropical one is my favourite. I love the coconut scent.

KMS Freeshape Quick Blow Dry 200ml - a small size of this came in last December's Carmine box.  Does what is says - halves the time of blow drying - great for my morning rush!

Aveda Smooth Infusion Style Prep Smoother 10ml and Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair 10ml - these are nice products that I am enjoying using.

Philip B Styling Gel 15ml - picked this up in a blog sale - nice for smoothing down static.

Redken Shine Flash 02 Glistening Mist 150ml - this is nearly finished.  Got this a while back at the hairdressers, adds shine to the hair and also good for static.

Redken align12 straightening lotion 30ml - this came from Joliebox.  Seems a nice product - only used it a couple of times so far.

Mythic Oil vial - nice product will probably pick up full size at some point.

Simply Argan Organic Argan Oil 50ml - I got this in April`s Amarya box - like how it can be used on your skin or hair.

Have you used any of these products before?

Styling & Treatment Hair Products

Above are my current hair styling products collection.  I also have the four Percy & Reed products which came free with Glamour magazine.  I had to buy 4 magazines!  Reviews to follow.

I've been using the Moroccanoil Light for while now and its my top treatment.  It leaves the hair soft, moisturised and static free.  Huge 100ml, lasts for ages.  Pricey though at around £28.

I picked up the Macademia Healing Treatment Oil (10ml) in a swap.  Retails at around a fiver.  A bit thicker than the Moroccanoil Light but still one of my favourites, would buy this product.

Leonor Greyl Huiles de Palme 25ml - I got this in my Boudoir Prive box in October.  Absolutely love this product, so effective.  Have collected a few via swaps.

KMS Free Shape Quick Blow Dry 30ml - received this in my December Carmine Box.  It really does what it says it will - reduce blow drying time - on my second via a swap but will definitely purchase this product - it works!

Tigi Catwalk Sleek Mystique Blow Out Balm 90ml - a full size product received in Feel Unique's October box (oh how I miss Feel Unique!). A great product and I'd buy it again.

Philip Kingsley Maximiser 60ml - received this in a swap - great product would buy again really gives great volume.

Redken Shine Flash 02 Glistening Mist 150ml - my hairdresser used and recommended this.  Gives really great shine and can also spray on palm and smooth down any frizzy bits.

Percy & Reed Quite Frankly Flawless Finishing Polish 100ml - great product, reduces static, leaves hair smooth and smells great - includes horse chestnut and sunflower wax in ingredients.

What products could you not live without?

Sleep-Over

On Saturday we had a sleep-over at my mum and dads (as it was my niece's birthday on Saturday and my mum's on Sunday).  We went for lunch to House for an Art Lover which has an amazing cafe!  The house is really interesting to look around too.  It was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and is well worth a visit if you are ever in Glasgow.

It also has a nice wee shop and I bought these -

I just love the cute little heart cushion!  I also picked up Scottish Fine Soaps Au Lait Hand Lotion 300ml (they have this in the toilets with the hand wash and its gorgeous - I'll get the hand wash next time!)

Here are the products I took with me for my night away (very restrained I thought - even if I did take two eye creams!) x

Beauty Boxes - my buy again products (2011)

I have found all the brands above via the beauty boxes (apart from the Emma Hardie cleansing balm which I'd tried before - and love!).

Tigi Catwalk Sleek Mystique Blow Out Balm - absolutely love this, makes hair so smooth and smells so nice.

Caudalie Radiance Day Fluid - love this, have since bought full size (and got small size pictured here in a gift pack).

October - Boudoir Prive

Korres Citrus Little Moisturising Body Milk - lovely light lotion with lemon scent.

Leonor Greyl Huile de Palme - if I had to choose one favourite from the boxes it would be this.  You can read my review here.  I'm definitely going to check out other items in the range.  I have also stocked up on this via swaps on Beauty Box Swaps on Facebook.

October - Glossybox

Stila Smudge Waterproof Eyeliner in Moray - lovely shade (olive green) with gold fleck and great staying power.

November - Feel Unique

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm - already loved this so welcome addition to the November box.

Loved the Prady Candy EDP sample vial and was lucky to get the full size at Christmas.

November - Glossybox

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer - already loved this product, welcome addition to the box.

Illamasqua Freak EDP sample vial - love, finished it. (no pic).

November - Boudoir Prive

Korres Wild Rose 24 hour moisturiser - really moisturising with light scent.

Rahua Volumising Shampoo & Conditioner sachets - really loved this product but wouldn't pay full size price (£27/£28) so always on the lookout for sachets.

December - Feel Unique

Annick Goutal Mandragore EDT - would never have picked this scent but love the fresh, fruity minty scent and a huge 25ml.

December - Glossybox

Cargo Lipgloss - I got Paris in my box (since acquired Morocco and Tokyo via Beauty Box Swaps).  Really great lipgloss, great colour and feels smooth on the lips and not sticky.

December - Joliebox (formerly Boudoir Prive)

Kusmi Detox Tea - delicious!

I loved trying just about all the items in the boxes.  The ones above are my favourites. If you want to read more about the product - check out the blog posts month by month. x

Feel Unique Beauty Box - December

Imagine my excitement to hear the postman at the door this morning, especially as I knew I was due my Feel Unique Beauty Box!

It's a really fab box, I am really pleased with the contents.

"Finishing Touches...add some magic to your Christmas...

Sparkle your way through the Festive season with this month's fabulous finishing touches.  With a sprinkle of sugar, a touch of gloss and a spritz of fragrance, all eyes will be on you!"

They are also giving £5 off any product if you spend £30 or more.

Onto the contents:

25ml Annick Goutal Mandragore EDT - this retails at £62.05 for 100ml.  It has notes of Bergamot, pepper, mint, star anise, boxwood, ginger and mandrake. It smells really fresh, fruity and minty on my skin.  A unisex scent, I love it!  I think it is a very generous addition to the box (its also in a cute little purple bag with tassled drawstring).  Would also make an excellent gift.

1g Tigi Bed Head Candy Fixations Sugar Dust a full size product at £9.35.  We got something similar in a previous box (which I haven't tried yet) but happy to give this a shot though.

30ml Clarisonic Nourishing Care Cleanser for normal/dry skin.  Not sure if I'll use this as I have combination skin although my skin is a bit dry this time of year.

4ml Nails Inc. in Oxford Circus, a candy pink colour.

8ml - full size Figs & Rouge Sweet Geranium Balm which retails at £3.49.  It can be used for cuticles, dry skin areas, lips etc.  Have used this before and loved it especially the smell of geranium.

Finally, a trio of Living Nature skin samples - all 2ml - vitalising cleanser, extra hydrating toning gel and nourishing day cream.

I was really pleased with this box and will probably use everything in it and thought it was excellent value.  Did you get this box?  What are your thoughts?

Birthday Weekend

Last weekend we stayed at Knockinaam Lodge near Portpatrick in Dumfries and Galloway.  The lodge was once home to the Hunter-Blair family - its now a country hotel in 30 acres with its own private beach - though much too cold in December for swimming in the wild Irish sea!  (I took this photo from the beach).

Our room was Churchill, which had an amazing bathroom and huge bed!  The bath was ancient and really deep and was large enough to be able to float without touching the sides! (even hubby who hates baths loved it!)  There was even a step to help you climb in!

Each morning we had a full Scottish breakfast which was yummy (if highly calorific!) complete with toast, muffins, oatcakes, croissants and pots of leaf tea.

Here are the pampering products I took with me:

It was a great weekend away (even though the weather was cold and windy) x

Feel Unique Beauty Box - October

I'm loving my first Feel Unique Beauty Box it's fab!

It comes in a normal brown mailing box, inside is a mini black box, there is a small ribbon on the side of the box which you pull to open the box up!

Wow! I'm impressed with the contents!  This box costs £9.95 per month including postage!

This selection is "Pre-Winter Warmers" perfect to ease those pre-winter blues..

The enclosed card gives details on each of the five products and a code for 10% off valid until 31st October.

I am especially excited by Tigi Catwalk Sleek Mystique Blow Out Balm which is a full size product and retails at £10.35!  It says it transforms hair into silky, glossy fluid perfection!  Can't wait to try!

I love Bliss products generally, so finding a 60ml Fabulous Foaming Face Wash was great. A two-in-one oil free exfoliating face wash for all skin types containing rosehip extract, milk thistle, passion flower and chamomile.

A 25g size of India Hicks Island Living Hand Cream is also included.  With shea butter, spider lily, jasmine, sea accords, macadamia nut oil and aloe smooths the hands.  Looking forward to trying this also.

There is also a 10ml Caudalie Radiance Day Fluid which ensures a glowing complexion all day long!  I am also looking forward to trying this.

Orly Nail Polish in Lola, a mini nail polish (5.3ml), lovely shade but bit too bright for me!  Will probably try and swap on "Beauty Box Swaps" on Facebook.

Finally, a 2ml carded vial of Burberry Body EDP which is gorgeous!  Fruity, floral and woody - love it!

Loving the Feel Unique box.
