Souk Souk October Beauty Box

My October Souk Souk Beauty box arrived yesterday and I'm pleased to say it is jam packed with brands mostly I've not tried before.

So what's inside:

Betty Hula Champagne & Spice Body Moisturising Cream 120ml (£12.99) - this is a full size product. I've heard of this brand but the two items included in the box are my first tries.  The cream has a super sweet scent and feels moisturising on the skin.  The second Betty Hula item is a sample of The Secret Wonder Oil which is packed full of good things for the skin. Use it overnight and wake up to rejuvenated and radiant skin.

Lucy's Lotions Vitamin E & Grapefruit Lip Balm 30ml (£6.50) - this rather wonderful full size lip balm (it's in a huge pot!) is from a brand I've not heard of before! It is stuffed full of butters and oils and scented with grapefruit. It feels great on the lips. Love!  I've just treated myself to the whole range!

AFYNA Daily Purifying Cream Cleanser 30ml (£7.50)- I've heard of this brand but this is the first time I've tried anything. A gentle cleanser which is packed full of good things for the skin. Love the packaging too.

Ville De Fleurs Shea Butter 8ml (£4.99) - this butter comes in a cute little tin. It is perfect for dry areas of skin and hair. Love!

The box extra is Hifas da Terra Mico-Serum sachets - I tried this serum recently and although a nice product I didn't like the scent.  See my review here.

A great box I think. What are your thoughts?

Review: Hifas da Terra

Spanish company, Hifas da Terra recently contacted me to see if I'd like to try some of their products which are made using a variety of organic mushrooms. I'd received their micro soap in August's Souk Souk Beauty Box.

A family company the products are produced with love and care. Mushrooms are great for the immune system and have a high concentration of amino acids, polysaccharides, protein, minerals, vitamins and enzymes.  The ranges available include: gourmet foods, supplements, serum, soaps, massage candles and delicious chocolate!

I was sent some sachets of Mico-Serum* (£68 - 50ml) which is an anti-ageing serum made from reishi and codyceps extracts. It is stuffed full of good things for the skin and it rejuvenates, brightens, repairs and protects the skin. Use AM and PM.  This brightens the skin and you can feel it firming the skin as soon as you apply but I'm not in love with the earthy type scent (so this is an item I wouldn't personally purchase).

Mico-Soap Sponge* (£14) is one of the most unusual body products I've ever used! The wool sponge is made from Xisqueta sheep's wool and contains a bar of soap made with reishi and honey.  It exfoliates and cleans the skin. Moisten the sponge with warm water before massaging it over the body.

Mico-Massage Relax* (£28 - 100ml) - use this candle for massage. Burn for 5 minutes (no longer than 15 minutes) and pour the melted oils into your palm before using for massage or as a body oil.  This has a rich and aromatic floral scent and is made with reishi extract, shea butter and vegetable oils.  Helps to relax and destress and leaves the skin feeling comfortable and super nourished. This is my favourite item.

I was also sent a bar of delicious chocolate*.  Have you tried anything from Hifas da Terra?

Souk Souk August Beauty Box

My August Souk Souk Little Green Beauty Box landed on my mat yesterday. It is packed full of goodies. It is definitely one of my favourite boxes.

It contains the two new Bodhi & Birch Bath & Shower TherapiesCamomile Sky (review coming soon) which is an intoxicating blend of camomile, neroli, geranium and bergamot and Siam Ginger a light and sweet ginger scent with the freshness of Kaffir Lime Leaf.  Both of these are 50ml travel sizes and are worth £4.50 each.

Living Nature Kumerahou & Kelp Shampoo (10ml) and Manuka Honey Conditioner (10ml) - these are each worth £2. I'm a huge fan of this brand. Check out my review of the Nourishing Hand Cream here.  I'm looking forward to trying these out.

Hifas da Terra Micro Soap 150g worth £4.80 - this facial soap is made using reishi mushrooms! The variety I received also includes Propolis and Vanilla. It deeply cleanses the skin and is free from most chemical nasties. The bar can be divided into two.

Box Bonus: 3 x 15g samples Linwoods Milled Seed Blend - chia seed, flax, sunflower, pumpkin, sesame seeds & goji berries and flaxseed, almonds brazil nuts, walnuts & Q10.

I think this is a great box.  What do you think?
