Free with Elle Magazine - Bella Freud Close to my Heart EdP

You'll know how much I love a magazine freebie ooh and a perfume freebie - bring it on! I just picked up Elle Magazine (in a double pack with Cosmo) for £4.99. The freebie this month is Bella Freud's Close to my Heart EdP (10ml - worth £19) (the link is for the full size bottle - 50ml - £95).

The perfume is absolutely stunning and would make a great Christmas or Secret Santa gift if you can bear to part with it (buy 2!)

The scent is "oriential" and has a sensual heart of tuberose with neroli, rose de mai and jasmine. It's a really beautiful feminine scent and can be used both in daytime and into the evening and it was created with her long-time friend and perfumer, Azzi Glasser.

To use: apply to pulse points or spritz a cloud in front of you and walk into it to be enveloped in a delicate veil of scent

I adore Tuberose and Neroli so think this perfume is absolutely beautiful. It has powdery top notes which mellow into creamy florals with woody and musky base notes.  It's a beaut! And a keeper. Do you think you'll pick it up?

The Organic Pharmacy Minis: Free with Elle Mag

I spotted this little The Organic Pharmacy kit (worth £13) (free with Elle magazine this month) yesterday. Being a lover of rose scented products and keen to try some more products from the brand I was thrilled to pick this mag up (there's also a sachet of L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss High Shine Shampoo 10ml inside).

Inside the set is:

Rose Facial Cleansing Gel (10ml) - this smells deeply of roses and is simply divine! It gently cleanses and refreshes the skin leaving it feeling clean and comfortable. You've guessed it full size is now firmly on the wishlist!

Double Rose Rejuvenating Face Cream (5ml) - I've not tried this yet but it's a best seller which nourishes the skin leaving is hydrated and soft. Use every morning after cleansing and toning.

Antioxidant Lip Balm (5ml) - I can never have enough lip balms! This lush balm deeply moisturises the lips leaving them looking glossy and nourished. Can be worn alone or with lipstick.

I'm pretty pleased with this cute little set (so much so that I might get another!) Do you think you'll pick it up?

MALIN+GOETZ Travel Set

I picked up this MALIN+GOETZ Travel Set with last month's Elle magazine which is worth £10 (you can still pick it up but hurry as the latest monthly mags will be instore any day now).

MALIN+GOETZ was founded in March 2004 by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz. Their flagship apothecary is in New York's Chelsea neighbourhood. They also sell on the web and products are available in Barneys, Fred Segal, Liberty and SpaceNK.

Matthew and Andrew formulate and develop each product with trusted chemists.  There is no animal testing and all products are made in the USA.

Included in the set is:

Grapefruit Facial Cleanser (10ml) - this refreshing cleanser is scented with grapefruit. It lathers up well and removes all make up and daily grime.  A best seller it is suitable for all skin types.  Apply a small amount to wet skin, lather and rinse.  Leaves the skin feeling clean, refreshed and soft.

Vitamin E Face Moisturizer (10ml) - a light lotion which absorbs quickly leaving the skin lightly hydrated.  This is oil free and suitable for all skin types and perfect for use in the summertime.

Maybelline Instant Anti-Age The Smoother Skin Retexturising Primer - ELLE Beauty Awards 2011

I noticed this little primer received ELLE magazine's best primer in their recent beauty awards.  I just picked this up today in the supermarket at £9.99 for 7ml.  Has anyone used this? If so, what are your thoughts on it?

Update: this is really nice.  You only need a tiny amount and it glides over the skin.  Foundation lasts all day too x
